We are getting married

There was no one in the room who was not surprised by what they had just heard and saw at the moment.

"Yes, we are getting married" Melanie replied with a beautiful smile.

Aaron and Hayley like seeing a romance drama in front of them, both look at each other but are happy, there is still a sense of disbelief if Alex will do this romantic thing.

Aaron and Hayley shake hands first, after Alex and Melanie.

"Multiple days? that's too soon, Pa," lamented Melanie. "I'm not even ready."

"You're ready, son. Faster is better, isn't it, Mr. Aaron?" said Mr. Gio.

"Yes, of course, sir. I'm also not sure if Alex can be patient waiting for those few days" Aaron joked as he glanced at his cousin.

Everyone was laughing, happiness and warmth were so felt in this room, the joking excitement stopped when baby Nick cried.

"It's been too late. Melanie, you go to the room between mama, papa there's little need with Alex and Aaron" said Mr. Gio.

"Come, sweetie." Lady Gio pushed Melanie's wheelchair and said goodbye to everyone in the room.

After Melanie exits the room, and Hayley finishes giving breast milk to baby Nick, Mr. Gio invites the three of them to sit together.

"What's up, sir? is anything serious?" asked Aaron, looking at the look and look on Mr. Gio's face, the middle-aged man seemed to be thinking about something very heavy.

"Look, Alex. Uncle doesn't mind you getting married to Melanie, uncle is very happy. But are you sure?" ask Mr. Gio.

"Of course sure, Uncle. Did uncle doubt me?"

"It's not like that. Uncle believe. But, look at Melanie's condition, no one knows how long she'll live. You have to think ahead, this will also take away your future, Alex," said Mr. Gio with teary eyes.

"We're happy if Melanie finally gets her love, we're happy for everything you did to Melanie. But, you also have to think of yourself, marriage is not a game" Gio continued.

"Really, Uncle. There's nothing happier for me than being married to Melanie. Please bless us, please let us get married. I promise to make Melanie happy" Alex replied solemnly.

"No, that's not what uncle means, Alex."

"I know, Uncle. I understand, even though Melanie can't survive much longer, we'll get married no matter what. Let me give you the best gift at the end of his life. I love him, nothing can separate us but death" Alex explained.

"Alex, how should uncle thank you" said Mr. Gio, he clasped Alex's hand.

"Thank you for what? this is my wish, Uncle. I married Melanie because I love her, because I want her."

Master Gio was quite moved by the strong determination of the young man in front of him. Marrying a dying woman close to death is not easy. And Alex chose a path that was not necessarily chosen by others.

Aaron and Hayley just sit and listen, they will be witnesses to how Alex turns into the unexpected Alex. Alex is really big-hearted with an amazing attitude.

Maybe, if it had been a month or two after they got married and Melanie's struggle was finally over, maybe Alex would have been a widower at a young age, and Alex didn't care about that, he just wants to be with Melanie for now, no matter how long God keeps them together, it's something that's still a secret.

"Mrs. Aaron," said Mr. Gio.

"Call Aaron, sir. Aren't we going to be a family?" said Aaron.

Mr. Gio smiled. "Whether your family doesn't mind this, maybe Melanie will be a burden on your family."

"Loving and getting married is a personal right. We don't mind Alex's decision at all. After all, he's happy. We'll all support whatever's best."

"What about your parents, Alex?" ask Mr. Gio.

Alex suddenly shut up, all this time, he never explained to anyone about his core family, papa or his mother, no one knows, not even Melanie.

"I'll tell Aunt Friska soon. Hopefully he can be present at your wedding" Aaron said.
