The Bride Pay

The Bride Pay
Heirclist Terms

On the way to Aaron's parents' house, Hayley kept staring out the car window, coincidentally tonight drizzling drizzles accompanied their trip, romantic music on play to dispel the silence. The two humans in the car did not greet each other.

The distance between Aaron's house and his parents is quite far, it almost takes an hour.

"Prepare yourself, Hayley. I know it's not going to be easy, but I believe you're strong" Aaron said before they got out of the car.

A large European-style mansion with huge white columns towering high had already welcomed Hayley's arrival for the first time. This house is no less luxurious than the house owned by Aaron, but impressed more elegant and historic.

Aaron took Hayley's hand into the house. "Don't be afraid, they won't harm you" Aaron whispered. Hayley simply nodded obediently, easing the fear within her.

"Good night, Ma, Pa," Aaron's greeting made the three people sitting in the living room turn their heads in unison, Breanda sat there, no less surprised by the arrival of Aaron and his brother-in-law.

"Aaron, you think you've forgotten to go home" said Albern, staring at Aaron, then glancing at Hayley, who was standing next to his son.

"You brought the jal*ng woman into this house? cuih, embarrassing!" timpal Samantha's.

"We're married, Ma. I didn't come to ask for my blessing, but just wanted to introduce my wife" said Aaron calmly, as he felt Hayley's palms sweat coldly.

"Your wife?" Samantha got up from her chair. "Since when did our family accept a cheap woman as a daughter-in-law."

"Ma, don't say that" Breanda said.

"Don't interfere, Bre," snapped Samantha. "Listen to me Aaron, I am your mother, the one who gave birth to you, you should have complied with my request, married to Ellera."

"Enough, Ma! Ellera is not a woman that suits me."

"Aaron! how dare you argue with your mama in defense of that lowly woman" Albern joked, pointing the finger at Hayley.

"I have complied with your request to marry soon, about who will be my wife, that is my right." Aaron said firmly.

"Aaron!" Samantha yelling. "What kind of plate does this woman wear until you say that to your own mama, huh?"

"Hayley's a fine woman, Ma. Don't talk so much!" refute Aaron. "I came well, you should also welcome me well. She's my wife, whether we want to, like it or not, we're legally married."

Hayley placed her left hand in front of her chest, the tightness already filling her throat. All the insults and insults he received in silence, did not want to interrupt or refute at all.

Aaron continued to clutch his right hand, trying to give Hayley strength that was getting cornered.

"Enough!" Albern shouted loudly. "If you prefer the woman you call your wife, never set foot in this house again."

"Pa, don't be. Everything we can talk about is fine" Breanda said.

"Okay, I'm gonna get out of this house." Aaron took Hayley by the hand and walked out of the house.

"Father! what are you doing, you're expelling our son." Samantha scrunched her forehead. Actually not his desire to make Aaron leave, he was only disappointed because Aaron chose a woman from the bottom as his wife.

"Alright, Ma. Your son won't listen to our advice."

"But, Pa. Aaron is our only son. How is our family without him?"

Albern let out a long sigh, in fact he loved Aaron very much, but Aaron's harsh nature made him have to be hard on his son.

Since Aaron takes care of his family company, business and profits are growing rapidly, a lot of cooperation is intertwined thanks to Aaron's persistence, Aaron's success in business makes him very proud of his son's hard work.

"Pa, stop our son, Pa. Don't throw it away." Samantha cried hysterically, Breanda swiftly hugged her mother and tried to calm her down.

Albern ran down the stairs after Aaron and Hayley, Samantha and Breanda followed his father.

Aaron and Hayley got back out of the car.

"Aaron, you want us to accept Hayley?" albern asked seriously, Aaron nodded.

"Okay, papa wants to apply for one condition."

"Say, Pa," said Aaron.

"You already know that your sister, Beatricia, is unable to give us a grandchild, so our family's successors are all women" Albern said.

"Then?" Aaron squinted, understanding the meaning of his papa's words.

"We will accept the woman as a daughter-in-law, provided she is able to provide a male heir for you" he continued.

Hearing Albern's condition, Hayley gawked in disbelief. She felt the burden of her life had become more difficult since agreeing to the marriage of this contract, and now her in-laws asked to present an heir to them.

"Mama agreed to the terms your father gave you, Aaron. Easy enough, isn't it?" timpal Samantha's.

Aaron let out a long sigh, not believing what he had just heard.

"Good, give us a year" Aaron said.

"One year? that's too long" said Samantha.

"We'll work on it, Ma. Thank you for giving us a chance" Aaron continued.

Returning home from his parents' house, Aaron invites Hayley to stop by the seafood store they passed. Ever since getting out of his parents' house, Aaron notices Hayley secretly crying, feeling guilty for involving Hayley in his complicated family life.

They walked into the tavern and booked a VIP table with a special room, Aaron wanted Hayley to calm down, the girl was sitting in her chair with wet eyes.

"Hayley, I'm sorry for my father and my mother's attitude" said Aaron softly.

"It's okay. What they say is true, I'm a cheap woman. Selling my pride to be able to pay off debt instantly," Hayley said as he pleased.

"Don't talk like that. You're a good woman."

"Don't comfort me, Mr. Ice. You must have chosen me to be your bride because you thought I was cheap, you could afford my pride with your property."

"Hayley ...."

"It's okay, Mr. Ice. I'm self-conscious." Hayley rubbed the clear circles on her cheeks that continued to drip profusely. "And for that condition, sorry, I can't, Mr. Ice. As per the contract agreement, we will not have a husband and wife relationship, especially until we have children" he added.

I don't know what was on Aaron's mind, the man felt a little stifled at Hayley's words. Is it true that he would last for a year with the girl without touching her? I don't know, only time will tell.

She does love Kathrine very much, hoping that the woman will be her life companion, accompanying her in distress and joy until old age. But until now, Kathrine is more concerned with their career than their relationship, Kathrine also makes Aaron trapped in a situation that he is difficult to control.
