The Bride Pay

The Bride Pay
Albern House

Thinking about the problems that came in turn, Aaron remained unshakable in the slightest, he kept asking Hayley to calm down and not interfere in the matter.

After all, Hayley was pregnant, and Aaron was unlikely to allow his wife to do the crazy things that had made her even more depressed.

This is the third day, where the company's shares are getting lower and losses are getting bigger. Alex and Aaron have met some colleagues, and of all, few are willing to help.

Tonight, Aaron's gonna take Hayley to his parents' house. The company is built from scratch by his father, so inevitably, Aaron must tell everything honestly, about the worst risk they will face as soon as possible.

"Don't be afraid, they won't hurt you" said Aaron softly. "I'm here."

Holding the hands of his wife, Aaron and Hayley stepped towards the mansion of the residence of Albern and Samantha. Maybe for Aaron, coming to this house is nothing, but for Hayley, coming to the house with its residents who hate it so much, it feels like going into the lion's den.

Whatever Aaron's parents will say, Hayley must prepare herself and also the heart. Of course they will berate and curse Hayley as has happened before, being a son-in-law for the Conan Drax family is not easy.

Gts ... Gts ... Gts ....

I heard someone running towards the door.

"Young master, please," a female servant in her fifties invited her in politely, yet faintly visible on her face, she harbored fear and worry.

Aaron kept holding Hayley into the living room. "Where are mom and dad?" ask Aaron to the waiter behind him.

"Looking room, sir."

Aaron turned to Hayley, knowing that the woman would object to joining the dinner with her parents. Look, Hayley's face is getting pale.

"We're not going to go there, we're waiting here" Aaron told Hayley, who was just a quick nod.

"If they're done eating, tell papa, I'm waiting here" Aaron told the waiter.

Taking Hayley sitting in the living room, Aaron unceasingly steeled the woman. Still comes to mind, the first time Aaron brought Hayley into this house and introduced her as a wife, the various meanings were still imprinted on the heart.

Fifteen minutes waiting, Albern and Samantha walked over to them.

"Father, Mama," said Aaron, Hayley stood up from his seat and bowed respectfully.

Not heeding the child-friendly greeting and his son-in-law, Albern immediately asked sternly. "What's wrong?"

"Sorry, Pa. Looks like we have to talk seriously, there's something important I want to say" Aaron said.

Feeling the look of dislike almost as if disgust from his mother-in-law, Hayley's guts shrieked.

Albern sat across the table with Aaron and Hayley, followed by Samantha sitting by her husband. Aaron explained all the company's problems, as well as Marcel and what he had done.

"For what? a great businessman like Marcellus Gerald left you paralyzed just for wanting your wife?" tanya Albern humbled.

"What's so special about this cheap lady" sidelines Samantha spicy.

"Ma, please. Take care of your mama's words," Aaron said. This time he did not want to add to the problem by arguing and questioning Samantha, he came because he needed support.

"Huh, just give your wife to him. After all, you can, find a wife who is more beautiful and equal to us," said Samantha again.

Sitting uneasily, it felt like Hayley was running away from the face of these people, as low as her pride in front of Aaron's parents.

"Enough, Ma. Don't add to the problem. Hayley's my wife, and I'll keep her up at all times" Aaron said.

Albern was still sitting quietly watching his son and daughter-in-law, the man who was almost in his seventies looked still dashing and dignified.

"Have you tried to find your opponent's weakness?" ask Albern.

"How much help have you got? contact the people who enter their rivals to join you."

"I've done it, only a few agree."

Albern breathed a heavy sigh, at an older age, of course, he also had experience of the ups and downs of the business world and competition as Aaron experienced, but he did not understand, but he did not understand, why just because a woman like Hayley, was able to make someone do this reckless thing.

"Do you know why she wants your wife?" ask Albern.

"Yes, Pa. Hayley is very similar to her former fiance who died five years ago" Aaron said.

"That means, she's so obsessed with your wife."

"Don't think the same way with mama, Pa. I'm not going to let Hayley get into her trap" Aaron said, guessing what Albern was going to say.

"Already, Aaron. You can get a better woman, just throw this woman out." Samantha sneerily looked at her daughter-in-law.

Hayley lowered her head, crying in silence.

"Hayley's pregnant, Ma. She's pregnant with my son, your grandchild!" aaron jolted, his anger was almost at the crown of hearing the increasingly uncontrollable insult Samantha.

Squinting his eyes, Albern grew even more confused.

"Papa can't help you, Aaron. So, it's up to you" said Albern softened.

"Pa, why the hell, why don't we just ask our son to divorce the woman" whined Samantha.

"The self-worth of a man is determined by his principles. Aaron is our only son, where does he have to put his face to sell his own wife?" Albern said firmly to silence Samantha who continued to blabber objections.

"Thank you, Pa," said Aaron sincerely, it feels like he's getting a huge moral favor from his papa.

"You need to act fast. Remember, this is our family company that you wake up from zero, papa hope you can survive. If you fall, not only do you feel, we also bear the risk."

"Is the child in your womb a boy?" samantha asked Hayley.

Looking up in fear, Hayley simply shook her head.

"Not yet, Ma. I want the doctor to keep the sex of our baby a secret, so that it can be a surprise, later" Aaron said.

With pawing lips, Samantha sauntered away from the living room.

"If necessary, you should approach the people closest to Marcel, who knows they are happy to help, because the problem is not about business, but personal affairs," said Albern. "Meet his uncle, he still has family here."

Aaron nodded obediently, this time he was quite pleased with his father's unexpected reaction. No matter how bad Albern was, he would not let his son lose his dignity by handing over his wife as the savior of the company.

After quite a long discussion, Aaron and Hayley left the Albern residence.

"I'm sorry, my mama" said Aaron softly, he felt very sorry for not being able to do much when Samantha humbled Hayley.

"No papa."

"I'm sure, someday, mom and dad will bless us."

"I wish so too."
