Alex was at a food stall near the hospital, he kept staring at the screen of his dead cell phone.
"Ah, the battery's running out anyway!" muttered Alex.
After the dinner order was ready, Alex took her back to the hospital, heading straight for Nora's room.
"Thank you, Alex. You're good," praised Nora.
"This is all as my apology for harming you. Don't think anything like that" Alex exclaimed.
Nora is a beautiful white girl with a height that is not how much, she lived her life full of grief, being orphaned for more than two years makes her life more messy, he said, moreover, the low education he had made it difficult to get a job in a city of this size.
"Tomorrow you can go home. Where should I drop you off?" alex asks, he grabs his cell phone near Nora's bed.
"I'll find new boarding houses" answered Nora.
"Where?"
"No idea."
"Is it just that finding a place to live is hard for you?"
"Hmm, I'm different from you, Mr. Alex. I don't have anything."
"Ah, fine. I'll think about it later" Alex said. "Oh yes, Nora. Do you ever feel like something really matters, and then you forget?"
"What's wrong?" nora asked confusedly.
"Repeatedly I remember, I can't. I seem to have forgotten something important" explained Alex.
"really? do you have an appointment with your father, mother, best friend, or ... girlfriend?" ask Nora.
"Daughter? Oh my god! Melanie!" alex shouted, he grabbed the car keys he put on the table and ran away from Nora's room.
Nora only looked with high curiosity, the silver-haired good man was very different from all the men she had ever met.
Alex drives a car at high speed to the restaurant where he makes an appointment with Melanie, as quickly as possible he tries to get there.
"How could I forget! my God, Melanie must have been waiting" Alex muttered.
After arriving in front of the restaurant, Alex got down in a hurry, he glanced at the clock on his wrist, already almost showing at half-ten p.m
Alex circulates the view combing all visitors, but he does not find Melanie there.
Unfortunately, he also left his phone in Nora's room. Alex paced back and forth, looking for Melanie's figure in almost every corner of the room.
"She, can I help you?" ask a waiter.
"Ah, yes. Was there a little more shoulder-haired female visitor?" ask Alex.
"Is there a picture of him? because visitors from the afternoon are very much already," said the waiter.
"Mobile missed. He usually book a VIP room here."
"If you can tell, what's his name?"
"Melanie Rendra."
"Oh, Melanie Rendra. Right, Mas. It was 7 o'clock, it was 10 minutes ago."
"But the woman dropped something, Mas. Wait a minute" said the waiter and left Alex.
Condemning his own stupidity, Alex is restless, not usually he forgets every promise. Moreover, lately Melanie's attitude changed and slightly avoided her, surely because of this problem, everything will get chaotic.
Moments later, the waiter returned with a letter.
"Huh, letter?" ask Alex.
"So, the woman put this away. If it's not wrong, for Alex, right?"
"Yes. I'm Alex, thank you very much" Alex said, then went out of the restaurant and got back in his car.
If only now he had a cell phone, he would have asked Melanie whereabouts and followed her, but unfortunately, he did not bring anything.
The letter he had received, he folded it back before reading, he had to go back to the hospital to get his cell phone.
Arriving at the hospital, Alex goes straight to Nora's nursery.
"Cock fast?" ask Nora.
Not minding Nora's question, Alex immediately grabbed her phone and activated it. A few minutes waiting, it turns out Melanie did not send a message to him at all.
"He doesn't normally gini" Alex muttered.
"I have to go home, tomorrow I'll come again" Alex told Nora.
Alex passed away leaving the hospital, several times he tried to contact Melanie and send messages, but all failed.
"Oh my God, he's why, heck!" alex's grumbling began to despair, he spurred his car quickly to go home.
🖤🖤🖤
After being tired of his problems all day, Alex sprawls his body on the bed, he daydreams for a moment, thinking about his perhaps outrageous attitude towards Friska, his mother.
Turning his face to the wall near the closet, Alex let out a fretful sigh. Photos of him when he was a child with his parents are still neatly displayed there. In the past, every day he always dreamed of meeting, but after knowing he was not wanted, Alex chose to harden his heart so that he no longer had the feeling of longing in vain.
Unrequited longing is painful, especially if the person you miss does not remember that you ever existed. That's how Alex felt.
"If you had come a few years earlier, maybe I could have accepted you, maybe I would have been fine and could have been fixed" Alex murmured.
It seems, Alex thinks that the growth of himself as a stone-hearted man and does not know this love, is a hurt feeling because he was left without affection. Alex thinks it was Friska's fault that Friska made him this Alex.
His daydream stopped when he remembered the letter he received from the restaurant waiter he had not been able to read. Walking lazily towards the dirty basket, Alex reached into his suit pocket and picked up a piece of paper.
Alex, thank you for your best time of the year. Really, I'm happy to be close and to know you better. But now, it's all over.
Alex, there's something you need to know. When someone comes, must one day go, every meeting, surely one day there will be a farewell, when someone passes, will surely pass, when someone is alive, he said, one day it will die.
I was going to take you to dinner because I wanted to say goodbye. I'll be gone, maybe some time, or maybe forever.
No matter what you are, I like you. I like you not so much as what we do at night, but my taste is more than it seems. Did you feel it? Nah!
I think you hardened your heart too much. Change, doesn't everyone change?
Find a woman who can turn you into a better Alex. For sure, it's definitely not me.
Signed, Melanie.
