Leukemia (Melanie)

Alex holds all the questions in his mind until he and Melanie's parents finish eating.

"A, Alex. You are handsome, Melanie's taste is very good," praised Madam Gio.

"Don't praise me like that, ma'am."

"That's the reality."

Breakfast was completed in less than thirty minutes, and Alex was brought in by Mr. Gio sitting in the living room.

"Please, Master. Tell me the truth, what happened? I really wanted to see Melanie, but she didn't even answer my phone" Alex complained.

"Actually, Melanie's gone, Alex. Instead, forget about him," replied Mr. Gio in a hoarse voice, the grizzled man's face implying a deep sense of sadness.

"Go? go where? and why should I forget it?" alex is confused.

"Ah, don't joke with me or prank me, sir. I'm not having a birthday today" Alex said, trying to get rid of the prejudice in her heart.

"Alex, Melanie kept a lot of things from you. Including the illness," interrupted Gio. "She's been fighting leukemia for years, has been on a lot of medication, including routine chemotheraphy, but that's only delaying her death. Melanie has no hope of recovery anymore" he continued.

"What an empty muzzle is this!" snapped Alex. "Melanie's fine, we still do a lot of things, I can't believe it!"

"Of course, because he's hiding everything from you" said Mr. Gio.

"Don't lie to me. Now, where he is, I have to ask him a lot of things" Alex exclaimed.

"He's not here anymore."

"Overnight, we just promised to meet. Where maybe now he's gone" Alex said. "Just tell me where Melanie is, I have to see her!"

"You can't see him anymore. He chose to go as far as possible, he must have said goodbye, right?" ask Mr. Gio. "Thank you for taking care of Melanie all this time, we're so happy that she's got love and happiness at such a long age."

"I haven't even given him anything yet, why would it be like this?" murmured Alex, he covered his face with both palms.

It felt like Alex really did not believe what the two people before him said. However, they are Melanie's parents, of course they know clearly about Melanie's condition.

Alex's suspicious feelings over the past few months have finally proved, something Melanie is hiding from him. During the time together, Melanie always refused when Alex took her to take a bath together or swim together, when Alex offered Melanie to go to the salon to do hair care, Melanie refused. It must be like that, because Melanie already has no hair, all she wears is fake hair to cover up her flaws.

During this time, Alex never saw Melanie without make up, the woman always tried to look perfect with a dazzling makeup. Of course, because Melanie covered her pale face.

"Is the disease severe? is there no hope of healing?" ask Alex weakly.

"Already stage 4, the doctor said, life expectancy is thin. And Melanie had to undergo intense treatment at a major hospital to help her survive, though not for long," explains Ms. Gio.

"All right, let me see him" Alex asked.

"We can't do it, Melanie strictly forbade you from coming to see her. He doesn't want you to see him dying."

"I have to see him!"

"No, Alex. Please, appreciate Melanie's request."

With annoyance, Alex got up from his seat and left the house of Melanie's extended family without saying goodbye, there was a sense of regret and pain that only this first time he felt when a female friend left him just like that.

Melanie did decide not to tell Alex anything about her condition, she just wanted to be happy at the end of her life, she did not want to make others feel the loss of her.

Melanie decided to do medicine in a country in continental Europe, in her last moments, she will also spend time with her family there. And this afternoon, Mr. Gio and his wife intend to follow the princess.

At 8 a.m., Aaron and Hayley were home, they came home early because they were worried about Alex's situation. His encounter with Friska must have gotten Alex into a mess, and Aaron realized that.

Tracing each room so many times knocking on the door, Aaron did not find Alex anywhere.

"Where is he?" muttered Aaron.

"Did they fight so much that Melanie ran away?" guess Hayley.

"Huss! don't think that" Hayley said, although she had the same thoughts as Aaron, in Hayley's mind, Melanie was pregnant and Alex didn't want to account for her actions, then Melanie leaves and Alex regrets it.

The two stopped discussing Alex and unwinded during the trip by lying in bed, the more days Hayley's stomach grew distended, and the two were increasingly impatient waiting for the birth of the baby.

"What's? what kind of question is that! no, Honey. Shame on!" reject Hayley. "Are there no other questions that are more qualified?"

"I was just curious, if I could help get the little guy out smoothly, I would have done it" Aaron said, grinning his horse.

"Not in that way, how could it be then!"

"Yes can. Logically, the more often we do it, the more flexible the birth canal will be and widened, of course when the baby is born, he will have no trouble breaking through" explained Aaron confident.

"It must be just your wits to get rations every day, right?" search Hayley. Pretty annoying, how could Aaron have such thoughts.
