CHAPTER 2: ICE CREAM

Kalandra Lazurdy's. Who does not know the figure of the brown-spirited young man?

The figure is rumored to be the eldest heir of the famous wealthy Lazuardy family. However, that is not what attracted the attention of Halwah since she first knew who Kalan was.

Just a special thing that not necessarily many rich men like Kalan have. Halwah remembered it clearly, the first time seeing Kalan was something that the girl could not forget until now.

At that time one school was noisy because there were two girls who fought in the school field. Many were watching, but none of the students or teachers wanted to break up the two.

Until, one accidentally pulled the hijab that other girls wore until it came off. The hijab-wearing girl immediately crouched down with both hands trying to cover her head, everyone who was watching fell silent and shocked when a jacket fell over the veiled girl.

People were excited, some of them screamed when they knew the figure who threw the jacket was Kalandra. Halwah who does not know menahu just blinks innocently, he stared at how flat the face of the figure of the young man there. His face almost resembles a highway so flat.

The upper corridor, which had only been watched by male disciples, was now filled with screaming female disciples.

"You two women, the jewelers of the world. You are queens, what is worth something precious and must be kept in this way?"

Kalan's words make people become silent, Halwah is still paying attention. He saw how the brown unraveling youth who was always crowded into the gossip of the women looked at the girl who was squatting.

"Stand up and go get your headscarf trimmed, return the jacket after school."

After saying so, Kalan passed. Split the row under the basketball pole. Halwah was there, when Kalan passed her, that's when Halwah really fell in love. Not just from the face, but from how he behaves towards women.

"Morris?"

"Gee!"

Halwah flinched, she was shocked when the bike suddenly stopped and Kalan looked at her worriedly.

"You okay?" ask Kalan.

Halwah nodded stiffly, she looked around and finally realized that they were already in front of the school gate. Halwah then got off the bat and chose to wait while Kalan parked his bike. One additional point, Halwah just found out that Kalan always comes early and does not use public transportation to go to school or delivered by luxury vehicle.

"Would I take you to class?"

"Y-yes?!"

"Would I take you to class?"

Halwah swallowed the nervous saliva, she stared at how the flat expression of Kalan who had just asked her. Can Halwah hope that Kalan is okay with their sudden arranged marriage?

"I-I don't think so," answered Halwah lying, heol! Who wants to refuse a side by side with a Kalandra??

"Why?"

"Because..."

Halwah snorted, she looked at Kalan before puffing her cheeks. Unknowingly, it made his interlocutor now blush. Feeling strange with his face, Kalan frowned then turned his gaze to the rows of colorful stones that were around the park outside the school.

"Do you need a reason?" Halwah asked, she looked around before approaching and slightly tiptoed before whispering to Kalan; "Nobody knows we were married yesterday, what would they say if they saw us walking side by side??"

Halwah waited for Kalan's reaction, the young man just looked at her flatly before passing by without a word. Leaving the real Halwah wishing her husband had said "It's okay, I'll answer you my lover." Or maybe Halwah is too hopeful?

He looked for a moment at Kalan's strapping back which finally disappeared after the young man passed the basketball pole, before Halwah finally chose to go up to the top floor where his class was.

---

After school, it was common to see many girls crowding the gates. Kalan was already on the bike when Halwah had just dropped out of history class. The young man looked at him for a moment, appearing that Kalan sighed heavily before paddling his bike away from the school grounds.

Halwah realized that she was leaving and had to go home with Kalan, she grimaced about to catch up but stopped when she remembered that her backpack and book were in the upper locker.

"Astaghfirullah, I don't carry pocket money! Now, how do I get home!?"

Orange-colored streets, Halwah stepped without enthusiasm while occasionally kicking pebbles on the sidewalk. He had to walk up to the front turn to be able to take a free bus for students. He had no money to board a public bus or an angkot, and no public transportation to Kalan's grand private mansion was given as a wedding gift by his mother Kalan.

Halwah who was already feeling very hungry finally gave thanks when she arrived at the stop and sat down. His legs are already sore since the hours of sports lessons he stretched.

"Hopefully the bus hasn't passed, yet,"

"It's past."

"Still at 3, the last bus arrives in an hour."

"After making me wait more than an hour and a half you'd rather ride the bus than my bike?"

Halwah flinched, turned around and found Kalan sitting next to her holding two cups of vanilla-flavored ice cream in her hand. One of them was presented to Halwah while saying; "I don't know your favorite taste, so I bought the same with me."

Halwah blinks, she takes over the ice cream in Kalan's hand. He had no problem with the taste of the ice cream, but was Kalan really waiting for him since here? So, Kalan was waiting for him?

"Remove it and we go home after this" Kalan said.

The young man devoured his ice cream quickly even before Halwah had a chance to blink. Is his brain not hurting?

Halwah chose according, the girl finished her ice cream while occasionally blushing as she glanced at Kalan and found her husband staring at her unblinkingly.

"A-what's up?" halwah asked, the empty cup was thrown into the trash. The girl turned to look at Kalan fearfully, Halwah was not used to Kalan's flat expression yet.

"Do you like Vanilla ice cream?"

Halwah.

"OKAY. Go, go!"

Halwah blinked, staring at the astonished back of Kalan who was walking to pick up his bicycle parked in front of an ice cream truck. Then, the young man came back and told Halwah to go up to the bonds before the two went home without any conversation between them.

And when the next morning came, when Halwah woke up alone right after the dawn of Adhan. He found the answer to Kalan's question yesterday afternoon about ice cream, when the refrigerator door opened and displayed dozens of ice cream packs in his frezeer.
