Chapter 53: To The Continental Mirror
"Seriously? Blessing Of immortality!" Senior Ian said in surprise.
"Huh? Blessing what?" Senior Judith's chirp was unresponsive.
I can only nod, "that's right. Blessing Of Immortality, I should be able to obtain it"
He scrunched his forehead "You sure you can? I mean, even if it was me. who was familiar with the continental mirror even once, would never approve of a mission like this." Senior Ian said.
"That's so .. well, if I don't try then I can't say that I can't, right?" My words were calm while looking far away.
"Haih .. well, you're right" said senior Ian smiling helplessly.
That way, the chatter regarding the mission was over. During the three days of the trip, senior did not talk about it anymore. Well, I understand it. For someone like him, it was difficult to understand my current situation. He was in a situation where he couldn't encourage me, or even ask me to give up.
In fact, I didn't think about giving up. The reason is simple, if I am unable to complete this mission, then it is the same as my family died. And it's the same if I just keep quiet. And again, I hope I can better understand this world from the Continental Mirror's point of view.
Three days later, we arrived at the Continental Mirror. It took half a day to really arrive at the capital of Unity Kingdom Clover.
"Pregnant. We're about to enter the demon empire." Senior Ian's words broke the silence.
"Before we get to the palace, don't stay away from me" he said later.
A reddish black aura suddenly exploded from his body. Along with the appearance of a pair of horns on his forehead. That aura quickly enveloped me and his body, sweeping through all parts of my body.
"Good" I said obediently.
The view is wide open in front of us. High-rise building with resident traffic. They may look the same, like humans. However, they were basically demons, or perhaps humans with the power of demonic blood.
"Staying near me, it will be dangerous if they know that you are human" senior Judith said beside me.
I followed the two, we walked with me covered in robes. Shortly after, we passed through a slightly shabby and dark passageway. The air was a little cooler than the road. Plus, this hall seemed so quiet, with no sound or even a demon. So lonely, the sound of our steps sounded louder here.
And, something strange started to bother me. Although only a little, but I can feel a lot and thick smell of blood around.
"Don't look" whispered senior Ian coldly.
I again undoed my intention to raise my face, and immediately lowered my head. Before long, several other steps were heard, with some chatter in between.
They were three demons in slightly formal attire. We passed through it just like that, that's what I thought when a voice suddenly instructed us.
"Hey!" Say that voice.
"What's wrong?" Senior Ian turned his face. His tall body shifted slightly covering my body.
"Ah .. no. I felt a little human here" said one of the demons among them.
"So ... if so, then you're wrong" said senior Ian trying to relax.
The three demons just nodded confirming the senior's speech.
"alright. Then we'll go" senior Ian said with a little respect.
We turned around, still with the position where my figure was hidden by the senior.
In the next instant, a dagger flew towards me. I pulled my body, docked to the wall, but still too late, the dagger quickly slashed some of the hoods I was wearing.
My appearance was revealed, soon the two seniors took care of me from both sides. I can't be cut out.
"Ha huh! See it? He's human! How could there be a demon who has blue hair like her!"
"That's right! Wasn't the Asteria race loved by the gods? Ha ha! They must be slumping at the moment"
"Yes! Since he's human and he's blessed with a god, then it must feel different right?"
Trang!
Two metals rubbing against each other. One of the demons was arrested. But soon two other demons came up to us.
Crash it!
They stopped their steps when a ray of light flew quickly to them, until it hit the wrist of one of the demons.
"Dian, how?" Senior whisper Judith to Senior Ian.
"There's no way left .. I think there's going to be a little commotion" senior Ian murmured.
The two looked at each other for a moment before starting to take a step. However, right before that, my hand moved grabbing onto his second robe.
"wait. Let me finish" I said calmly. The two turned their heads, a look of shock and disbelief looming over the faces of the two.
I nodded slowly, trying to convince the two. "You just say this .." I whispered.
"Imprisonment" I murmured before stepping my legs forward.
Clangs! Immediately the chains curbed both my hands tight.
"Wait a minute!" Senior Ian's words prevented the movement of the slightly angry looking demonic devil.
"Let me explain. You guys here misunderstand, it doesn't look like we're carrying humans around. This is the request of the king's majesty" senior Ian said.
The demons were a little confused, after a while, they replied.
"What do you mean?"
"A few days ago, we found a blue-haired slave of unknown origin at the auction. The king intended to buy it to then be used as nutrition so that he grew stronger" said senior Ian while pretending to pull the chain in both hands.
"yeah. I think it makes sense."
"Tu-wait! Then why didn't you say it at the beginning? So that we don't have to fight. And again, can't you take him by train?"
"Th-that ..."
"I-it's .. That's my request" I said pretending to be scared.
"I am just a child. Basically, I have given up on my life. Even if it gets eaten. Since long ago, I have always wanted to satisfy my master. And, in the human world .. animals to be eaten are usually left to eat nutritious food and left healthy for a few days to taste fresher and healthier." I said while showing a blank expression.
The demons looked at each other for a moment, "alright. I think it makes sense" they said before leaving.
We continued our steps, quickly back down the hall, until then, really on a lonely road.
"Pff! Aren't they stupid!?" Senior Judith cried while laughing quite loudly.
"Well, whatever it is .. Thank goodness we're fine" senior Ian said, sighing.
"alright. I think it's safe" senior Ian said as he took out a disc with a golden symbol on it.
"This .." I said, watching the disc that felt a little familiar.
"Disk teleportation. Well, I don't think this is the first time you've seen her? Disks like this aren't alien to Alpha College, are they?"
I nodded slowly.
"I couldn't get it out before because it was so far away and in such a crowded place it would definitely invite the government of another country." Evidently.
Kinggo!
The disk was spinning, displaying a patterned light, and in an instant, we actually teleported.
