Chapter 12: Quest

4 Months earlier.

12/07, Middle Continent.

"Master, where are we going this time?" I said, looking to the right and to the left.

"Hmm? Uh! Right, I haven't told you yet, have I? Look at me, completely forgetful" said the master while holding his head resigned. One of his eyes seemed to be staring at me. Even so, he seemed to be pretending to be old in front of me.

"Well, you realize it too," I said casually as I turned my face away.

"Kuh! Ra-Raka.." He said while holding his chest acting.

"So, what exactly are we going to do? And where we're going, master.."

"Hm? Well, we'll complete the Quest!" Proudly said.

"The qu-est? What is quest? Is that some kind of a request for help on something? And is there a prize?" I said with sparkling eyes.

'Quest huh? Is it really the same as there? If yes, then will there be a guild as well? Are we going to the bar too? If yes, then it must be fun!' I thought in my heart.

Yoke!

"Ow!" I groaned small as the master's sturdy hand knocked on my head. Forcing me to forget silly fantasies about my previous life.

"Geez you! Do you really not know the duties of the ancient owners? And you even equate it with adventurers huh?" The omel.

"Sorry, master.. eh? So then? There really is an adventurer guild!?" My speech.

"Hmm? What is? What do you think I mean? I think you know about the Quest and the adventurer, but you're asking as if you really can't believe they exist.Geez, you're like an old man straying into another world!" Master said as he passed.

'Indeed! Then what do you want!? Are you going to throw me back to earth huh!?'

We continued walking down the path with lush trees towering high. It barely covered the blue sky and blocked the incoming rays completely dark and cold.

The sound of heavy footsteps could be heard from the birds chirping. I stopped my steps, opening up all five sensitivities.

'Heavy steps, he has a heavy and hard body.'

'This smell. blood! It was certain that he was a beast that was strong enough, at least.'

'He's great, and if he can walk in the dark, it's just there's one possibility, he-has the same sensitivity or at least, this. his territory!'

'Wawat! This critical sense, no kidding!'

Hap!

I immediately jumped dodging as my eyes caught a shadow move.

Dash!

Hairy hands with strong claws gripped, the ground around them did not escape from the cracks.

'Feather with that pattern! Mountain tiger! Bagaima-'

Dash!

"Ughh! Shit!"

I jumped back away, in one jump, my legs were spinning, my visuals were wide. The small strokes along my eyes tightened. It caused my eyes to work harder.

My body moved in unison, following the sense of crisis and the visualization of danger from my eyes. I swung my legs more and faster as the sound of loud footsteps and aggressive collision followed my footsteps.

I widened my eyes as a familiar shadow was clearly drawn on my head.

I raised the corner of my mouth, and quickly jumped back, grabbing a twig from a large tree near me.

The huge and crazy beast passed me quickly and approached the shadow of the master.

The master turned his head, his casual face turning into a slightly frightening face.
