Chapters 24. My Price Is For That Person Only

The Elves outside Aelfric's house became excited about the symbol on their foreheads. Dyze and Chronoa who had descended the stairs were flooded with questions.

Dyze only smiled bitterly without answering anything. Replacing him, Chronoa pointed to the room of the Elf elder, and simply said the word: “Go.”

Sensing the uncomfortable situation, the elves immediately left them respectfully and directly stormed the house of the Village Chief who looked like he wanted to get out of his room,

Dyze glanced towards Chronoa and whistled teasing him. It was as if his depression had never happened before.

“What? Now you are reliable. Do you want something?”

Hearing that word Chronoa's heart became beating faster, he asked nervously.

“A-whatever?”

“Yes. Whatever.”

Dyze's reply made his mind drift everywhere, a puff of smoke of unknown origin hovering above his head.

He also repeatedly said the same word: “Anything.”

The Chronoa was carried back to consciousness when he heard the voice of Eiria's cry.

“Heeeey! Wait for me.!”

Eiria's breath gasped as she reached before Dyze and Chronoa, she was excited for the day. Seeing Dyze hauling 2 large bags, he offered to help.

“Can I bring it?”

Dyze just threw a face away, he walked away from Eiria, waved his hand and said valiantly: 'She left:

“No, you don't deserve to be a freight forwarder. I won't carry more weight with me, come back if you feel strong.”

With that, Eiria was left behind by Dyze towards the outside World. Although she was crying, Eiria did not think Dyze had thrown her away.

“Hiks.. I don't see him as a freight forwarder.. Then that means he opened up an opportunity for me to walk with him..! I am just a burden to him now, wait..! I'll be strong and come back with you.”

Eiria quickly darted towards the Elder's house, passing by and ignoring the crowd of Elves who were so constricting. Thanks to her efforts, Eiria managed to enter the Elder's house, she did not find the Elf Elder in her usual place, she searched the Elder throughout the room, until he found it was in a private room guarded by 2 guards in the form of his servant.

At first the guards rejected Eiria's presence subtly, but because the Elf Elder recognized her voice, Eiria was allowed to meet her.

“So? What was your purpose for coming here?”

Eiria who was still standing immediately knelt down on Aelfric.

“Tree. Help me become stronger!”

Aelfric looks like he wants to tease Eiria:

“Why don't you prostrate? If you prostrate then I will definitely grant you this time as well.”

The second time for Aelfric was silenced by others during his life. Eiria looked at him sharply, a gaze she had never shown anyone before. He spoke quietly, but his voice seemed to fill the entire room.

“This head means the self-esteem I have. All my life I would never want to put my head on the ground except for that guy. If you don't want to teach me, then I will make you forced to teach me.”

Eiria's hand was enveloped by a lush green aura, through the window, Aelfric could see the vines from his house as if moving looking at her. Aelfric was further startled when he realized that the entire forest was moving as if stalking him. Their movement as if saying by itself: “You will not be able to escape.”

Experiencing mental stress, Aelfric immediately asked—no, he begged Eiria to stop him. Eiria smiled happily, the forest plants calmed down and returned to their original position. Aelfric, in his heart, thrashed because he felt unable to educate a child monster like Eiria.

‘Wait just! I'll be strong and get back to your side!’

On the outer side of the forest, Chronoa tried to ask Dyze about the actions he had taken earlier.

“Ah. That it? Well, I just don't want to carry more weight with me.”

Although the answer is obvious and quite ugly, Chronoa still thinks that is not the real motive Dyze left Eiria just like that.

Without speaking to each other, they had left the Omorphia Forest far behind.

Dyze and Chronoa walked north for hours, looking far away at the Horizon even though they could not find any buildings or living creatures, there was only a vast expanse of field and deserted.

A gentle breeze blew as if to usher them away. Although not feeling tired, Chronoa asked Dyze something.

“Why don't we just use the skill to travel?”

Chronoa glanced at Dyze, wanting to know his reaction. He was startled when he saw Dyze put on a sullen face, in an uninspired tone he replied:

“If what you mean is a teleporting Skill, it cannot be used if I have never been to the place I wanted to go before. If you mean Skill Fly, well I don't use it because if we fly using Skill Fly, the journey will be shorter.”

Confused by Dyze's statement, he tried to confirm his answer.

“Isn't it great if it's fast to the destination?”

Chronoa's words made Dyze look at him with a lethargic face.

“Ya no! If so why do we bring so much food supplies during the trip?”

“.. Does that mean you want to eat all that during the trip?”

In his casual tone, Dyze simply replied:

“Yes. Of course.”

Chronoa patted his forehead and took a short breath.

“Really, I don't understand your mindset at all.”

They walked, and continued to walk on the vast field, until the sun was overhead. That's when Dyze's stomach rang, Chronoa coincidentally found a very old cottage not far from them.

Staying at that place is a good choice. While reaching for food, Chronoa asked about taking a nap.

“Are we going to take a nap? You know, the air outside is very hot, especially during the day.”

Dyze who had been eating large portions in such a short time while burping she nodded and started to lay herself down.

Bags that still contain food are used as pillows. Dyze turned his sleeping position to the side, turning his back to Chronoa who was finishing his meal.

After it ran out, Chronoa began to tidy up his cutlery and Dyze returned to the bag. Stretching the body before going to bed is a routine habit to add comfort. With eyes that had begun to sleepy, he was looking for the right sleeping position.

Unable to find a free space because the hut was too small, Chronoa threw himself beside Dyze and hugged him from behind like a bolster.

--

Because they are too full, they fall asleep beyond the prescribed schedule. The light from the morning sun that pierced through the window and some small gaps from the cottage made Chronoa wake up.

“Emh.. Uh..? Waitaminute! It's morning!?”
