Chapters 25. The Game Has Been Started

Chronoa immediately shook Dyze's body to wake him who was sound asleep.

“Quick banguun..! It's morning lo..”

Due to Chronoa's noisy voice, Dyze awakens, stretching her body to collect lives.

“Sheesh, so noisy. Besides, if the morning is why.?”

He asked while rubbing his eyes. It took about 10 minutes for Chronoa to fully awaken Dyze. After carrying the bag, they continued their journey.

On the way, Chronoa is more daydreaming which makes Dyze's call to be ignored by him.

“Didn't you hear it!?”

Dyze's high tone made him realize. Making a word unintentionally spoken by him:

“They didn't come.”

“Hah?”

“Eh? It's okay anyway. I just got it wrong.”

Although it felt strange, Dyze did not ask him further. In Chronoa's daydream, he felt strange and a little worried, because the figures or can be called ‘they’ did not come to Chronoa's dream again. Chronoa became doubtful, whether what he delivered all this time was a message or just a coincidence?

Now it had been more than half a day they walked, again without finding anyone or anything. From a distance, Chronoa seemed to see something. To see it more clearly, Chronoa squinted his eyes.

“What's up?”

Dyze stops his steps as Chronoa looks to a point.

“Cannot..”

What he saw made him stare for a while. He shook his head quickly then pulled Dyze's hand and ran.

“Why is this?!”

“Already, just come!”

They run towards something that catches Chronoa's attention.

“Yang is right...!”

Although Chronoa can't believe it, it's real. The black-colored giant lush tree was right in front of them. As Chronoa thought, this tree came from his dream. The cold wind blew making the black tree leaves sway.

“T-wait!”

Ignoring the sculpting Chronoa, Dyze stepped forward and took shelter under the tree.

While patting the ground beside him, he stared at Chronoa.

“Come.”

Tempted by it, Chronoa ignored his anxiety and rushed towards his happiness. After placing the bag next to Dyze's bags, Chronoa took a sitting position then regained consciousness on Dyze's shoulders, enjoying the cool breeze that continued to wiggle the leaves of the tree.

“But I am not so tired. But this place is so comfortable, it makes me want to stop under it.”

… There was no response, Dyze turned to him, and found Chronoa had fallen asleep with his mouth open.

“Sheesh.. Really bad.. Hoamm.”

Like being hypnotized by the wind blowing, Dyze became tired and wanted to rest. But what he saw when he wanted to close his eyes made the drowsiness disappear instantly.

Dyze put a grin on his face while saying:

“Finally.”.

As a mysterious fog appeared around them, although his vision was blocked, Dyze could feel the presence of someone nearby. He also began to see a shadow from behind the fog before him.

Dyze puts up some of his protective magic, just in case his enemy plays cunningly on Chronoa. As a farewell, Dyze stroked slowly the Chronoa's head with a smile.

“It's okay, you'll be safe with me. Trust.”

Dyze was confident that he would leave her alone because of her protection or defense magic which was effective from any attack.

Defends Of Dome(Defense Dome); can fend off any physical attacks, even Dyze guesses that even dragon claws cannot scratch it.

Anti Magic Area(Anti Magic Area); an adjustable circular shaped area, This area is impenetrable to the weaker magic of its defense from the outside as well as the inside, which is to say, Chronoa cannot go out during the fight if he tries to free himself using magic.

At least 2 of those magic were the ones Dyze trusted the most to protect her.

Dyze who had been outside rang her neck and said with a smile:

“Good. Game has started!”

Dyze lunged towards the fog without fear.

The gradual words as directed at him made Chronoa become jolted from his sleep.

“A-what!?”

Without finding anyone, and again woke up in a lush black tree. Chronoa began to stand and wait for the presence of the figure, because according to his premonition, he would get the answer he was looking for in this dream, if not, then at least a keyword.

“Listen. Do not let you feel failure.. Failure that makes you more tormented than being in a hellhole.”.

The voice came from behind him, he reflexively looked back, but there was no one there. Then another voice appeared beside—no, it appeared around him, as if they were circling Chronoa.

“True. For the sake of mission, there must be a sacrifice of death.. Don't let your guard down.”

“This mission is very important to save him. Don't fail for yourself and yourself.”

“Successful or not you won't avoid death. Your destiny has been determined.”

These sounds filled his head, making Chronoa curl up and grab his head.

“Ukkhh! What does that mean.?!”

Chronoa who was in pain because of these voices could not grasp their intentions. Until they say the same sentence makes Chronoa can think clearly again.

“Preview.”

“Understand.”

“Understand..”.

“For yourselves.”

“For her.”.

“And for us..”.

‘We?’

A word that is always strange according to him. But the Chronoa still could not understand the meaning of their every word.

‘Wait! The mission.. A fiasco.. Deaths.. A rescue.. A word that always repeats itself in the sentence. Is it a keyword or a hint!?’

Chronoa thought hard to find every possible reason for these words to find out the answer he was looking for.

“Ughh, it has been more than a day I walked without certainty, whether what he said was true.. Huh?”

Amidst his complaints, the young man saw something, he squinted his eyes to see more clearly.

“Bingo!”

Youth—no, Argus. Put a smile on his face.

Argus raised his right hand, making a giant fog that blocked the view created around him. Feeling quite safe, Argus activated his first magic.

Argus' eyelids gave off a green glow, with which he could see clearly within the fog.

No signs of movement. Makes Argus have the confidence to continue the activation of his magic.

Feeling the movement of Argus makes an illusion in the fog in the form of a shadow of himself.

“!”

Argus jumped to the other side as he felt something move very quickly towards him. He also heard a voice mocking him.

“Illusi huh? Weak!”

As the sound faded, a strong wind was blown, making the argus fog to be swept away.
