Chapters 27. The Persistence of an Argus
A sense of relief appeared in Argus' heart, but his hope was dashed instantly upon seeing Dyze's hand move.
Dyze's hand clasped the spear's eye until it bled, as if not feeling the pain of his hand crashing the spear just like that, ignoring the fragments of the spear's eyes lodged in his palm.
Argus' heart was racing, as if it wanted to jump out of his body. The sound of his heartbeat and inner voice filled his head, making him unable to hear Dyze laugh.
“Cannot be! Is there a creature that can come back from the dead!? Wait—don't say he didn't die from the beginning.?!”
Muttering with lips trembling like a person who lost his mind, Argus turned towards Dyze in front of him, who was only about 25 meters away. He saw Dyze put on a smile while covering next to his face with a palm, then moving his mouth slowly.
“Home.. Deng~”
Although Argus did not hear it because the rain storm still flushed them, but his body shook so much that Argus hurt his own lips because it held the desire to collapse.
Argus has a talent in the form of being able to read the contents of a person's heart just by the movement of his lips, and he can find out for himself whether the person is lying or not through his gestures.
“Do you have any other surprises?”
Argus was again surprised when he saw the former hole in Dyze's stomach had now disappeared completely, leaving only his shirt torn in the stomach area.
Although Argus himself has the same ability—High Level Regeneration but it is almost impossible for him to recover such fatal wounds in a short time, especially not at all.
Since Argus did not answer his question, Dyze thought it was his turn. Dyze shouted towards Argus who still looked dazed.
“Yah. If it is no more then try to survive my attack.”
Argus became wary when he heard it. Unconsciously the sky was like sinking, as if it was being suppressed by something.
“!?”
Argus instinct as if to guide him look towards the sky that is above Dyze. Argus was already quite tired of being surprised, this time he did not feel so much surprise that meant so much.
A giant asteroid is soaring high in the sky, with sparks due to its friction with the Atmosphere. The asteroid is now heading towards Argus and wants to hit it.
But thanks to Argus not being so surprised by the Asteroid's presence, Argus can prepare the Skill to fight or block a giant Asteroid that is swiping air towards it.
Determinedly, Argus stared intently at the Asteroid, as if his fear had now disappeared. Argus made a movement of lifting weights and then shouted out loud:
“Don't underestimate me--!!”
Simultaneously, Argus' lips moved swiftly, muttering a sentence.
“Semblant Version(Faux Version)!”
The ground suddenly shook, shaking everything that was on it. Only Dyze and Argus are still standing.
Not long after, right behind Argus, the ground seemed to be crushed by something from the inside. Something that Dyze did not expect to happen, a giant arm just like Argus appeared from the ground, the size of the arm was growing by itself until it was able to reach the Asteroid in his grasp.
Making Dyze excited, as he himself would rather use a Skill or Magic than a physical attack. But that doesn't mean he hates fighting with physical use.
But even so, the asteroid still has an advantage in terms of size. As if the asteroid was on top of his own head, Argus was seen lifting a very heavy weight. The veins on his body can also be seen clearly.
Wanting to see how far Argus could hold out, Dyze raised his right hand to the sky and muttered: 'Dig is:
“Summon Meteorite.”
“Kuh!”
Both Argus arms begin to bleed, feeling that if they continue in this position then nothing will happen, Argus prepares to change plans.
Although using both hands Argus still difficulty, Argus tried to race with time. He wanted his right arm to hold the asteroid despite having to sacrifice it, and the left arm was tasked with displacing the Meteorite that was above him.
In this position Argus does not care if there are living things that are hit by the Meteorite.
“Ugghh!”
His right arm seemed to want to be broken, Argus seemed to listen to the whispers that told him to rest, but Argus shouted dashing like a Warrior.
“Gaaargggh!!”
Exerting half his strength, Argus managed to get rid of the Meteorite. There are only asteroids left. Although Argus' right arm was numb, he still tried to do as he planned.
Argus realized that if he continued to defend, he would not win in a fight, he needed to attack, proving his strength to the enemy.
Argus was trying to crush the asteroid from two sides; it was like a child trying to destroy a clay ball.
Once again Argus shouted loudly in order to cover up the sounds of cracks from his bones and whispers from his subconscious.
Argus' efforts did not end in vain, the asteroid began to crack and eventually disintegrate.
Along with the destruction of the Asteroid, there was the sound of a loud bang that raised his ears.
And the sound of this bang makes the sound of lightning that continues to thunder look nothing.
Argus looked at Dyze with half a heavy breath, he knew from Dyze that clapping his hands was as if saying all this was not over.
--
Dyze slowly moved his right leg while muttering something.
“Hey.—“
His words were cut off as Dyze disappeared from his place, the fresh breeze that blew away as his departure was seen still intact. Without a chance to do anything Dyze appeared in front of Argus, along with the strong wind created by his arrival.
“—Are you done?”
Not yet able to react, Argus heard the sound of a small laugh flowing in his ear. And along with that Argus face gets a blow that is like coated with fire from Dyze.
His nose was bleeding, his consciousness wanting to disappear as the crushing blow struck his face, despite bouncing away, Argus tried to maintain his consciousness by injuring his own lips.
Argus tried to reach the ground with his feet, then tried to stop his growing pace. As a result of the friction of his feet with the ground, his speed began to decrease and has now disappeared.
Argus presses the nose and secretes the rest of the blood inside. Argus took a deep breath and shouted for Dyze to hear him.
“Cih! Why are you attacking me like that without any warning?!”
In response to Argus' words, Dyze just put her shoulder up. As if shifting the topic, Dyze praised Argus.
“Wow! A fiery blow hit your face but you didn't fall, but your energy was drained. It seems that you are tougher and stronger than Asmodeus.”
