The holy war that brought two brothers together in the barren Kurusetra Field had already begun, the sound of the clinking of the sword clashing with the shield made the usual battleground atmosphere in the deserted to come alive. Not to mention the sound of arrows shooting through the air, then when the arrow stopped shooting, there was the sound of groans and screams of pain from the soldiers who were hit by the arrow eyes and then fell.
One by one soldiers from both camps fell without exception. Some were hit by swords, pierced by spears, some were even trampled by animals such as elephants or horses.
War is brutal, knowing no enemies or brothers. Anyone who is there will experience a task in which to kill, or be killed.
Krishna repeatedly shouted his troops not to be afraid to go forward, while the enemy warlord, Resi Bisma. His experience in various wars made him unhesitatingly provide encouragement and motivation for the Kaurava forces. As a result, the Kaurava soldiers look more violent than the Pandawa warriors.
“Kangmas Krishna, if like this continue our troops can lose.” Arjuna thrust his arrow shortly after issuing his protest at Krishna.
“Relax, Arjuna. I'm sure in Resi Seta's ability, he will definitely be able to make us win today. Not to mention there is North Raden and Raden Wratsangka in the wings who will help him, trust them,” said Krishna, his eyes can not be seen the way of the battle from the top of the hill.
“Alright, Kangmas. Forgive me for doubting you a little,” said Arjuna who was greeted with a pat of Krishna on Arjuna's right shoulder, giving a sign that he was not angry with the protest from Arjuna.
Meanwhile behind the Pandawa line of defense. The eagle looked extremely tense, many times the disheveled-haired man coming from the future changed his weapon. He was still confused which one he would use against the enemy, between the sword given by Petruk or the spear.
“Lang, this is war. Not an ordinary fight.” Sadewa tried to calm the Eagle's heart. “Select weapons that do not waste your energy.”
The eagle observed the rusted sword that Petruk gave when he was going to fight against the giant army of that time. “If I use this sword, I will definitely kill the soldiers.” Then he stared at the spear made of flexible teak wood with his eyes made of gold. “If use this spear, at least I can paralyze the enemy.”
Nakula took the two weapons in Eagle's hand, then threw out the spear and gave back the sword to the Eagle. “It's not about knocking out an opponent, Lang. This is war, there is no word to paralyze the opponent. What's in war is you have to kill, or be killed!” firmly Nakula.
Sadewa smiled as she nodded, she agreed to what her twin said. “Throw away all your politeness about knocking out your opponent or not killing your opponent, Lang. In war, if you don't kill your opponents, then you will be the one to kill them.”
“Thank you for your brightness, but I prefer to wear a spear!” The eagle sheathed his sword and draped it in his pocket, then he took the spear that had been thrown by Nakula.
The sound of screams of pain and cheers mixed in the battlefield, the barren land of the Kurusetra field slowly began to be soaked by the blood of the soldiers who were victims of the ferocious war. Dust that was once very thick, gradually thinned. Along with the amount of blood flowing from the bodies of the war heroes. Most of them are no longer in shape. There are those whose heads are detached from the body, there are even those whose bodies are destroyed by being trampled by elephants.
By midday, the cheers of the Kauravas were heard. It was the sound of a triumphant cheer, as the Sesi Seta leading the Pandawa army had fallen.
Just in contact with the death of Resi Seta, the resistance of the Pandavas became weak. Kaurawa became incessant to deliver blow after punch to the Pandavas.
Seeing his relatives fall on the field of action, North Raden became lost concentration. He unleashed arrows blindly at his opponents, making his defenses slightly open.
Actually North Raden heard what Krishna said, but the emotions in him had already peaked. He can no longer choose what is good and bad for him and his team.
In the midst of the indiscriminate attack of North Raden, Karna saw an opportunity. It only takes a little time to pass his arrow to the body parts of North Raden.
After taking her bow and arrowhead, Karna was ready to aim for the body parts of North Raden. It did not take much more time, arch-enemy and cousin Arjuna immediately shot his arrow that directly hit the heart of North Raden.
Shouts of victory from the Kaurava soldiers were heard again shortly after the fall of North Raden. This made the guts of the Pandavas tremble.
Not only did the Pandavas look frustrated, Krishna who became the warlord looked the same. Unexpectedly, North Raden who was famous for his skill using all kinds of weapons and his war experience could be killed with just one arrow.
This time his hopes fell on Raden Wratsangka, a war leader whom Krishna trusted because of the skill of his arrows and lances. Unfortunately he was only used to long distance combat, not close range.
The effect of the fall of Sesi Seta was the defense of the Pandavas became weak. One by one the Kauravas managed to penetrate their defenses, and now the Eagle, as well as Nakula and Sadewa had to face the incoming intruders.
The eagle launched its attack, the sabetan for the sake of his spear beat back the Kaurava soldiers. He likes the distance of the spear strike is quite far, although not deadly.
While Nakula and Sadewa took out their flagship swords, electricity and fire. Enemies who came immediately fell instantly by being hit by their swords.
While swinging his spear, Eagle unknowingly tripped by the body of his opponent, he lost his balance and fell. Seeing the Eagle fall, the Kaurava troops would not miss the opportunity to directly attack the Eagle. But they had not yet planted their weapons in the Eagle's body, a flash of blue and red light finishing the bodies of the Kaurava troops. The light came from Nakula and Sadewa's swords that were thrown like boomerangs, then returned to their owners.
After realizing what had happened, the Eagle then got up while drawing out his sword. “Nakula, Sadeva. You're right, there's no mercy in war!” said the Eagle excitedly while drawing out his sword.
Faced with anger at the loss of Resi Seta and also North Raden, Wratsangka could not hold back his emotions, he went down alone to advance to the battlefield and finish off his opponents. Without a spear and without an arrow, he fought with a sword. A melee battle that was not very mastered at all.
Krishna stared desperately from the top of the hill, not expecting his imagined victory to be destroyed. Just as he exhaled, his worries occurred.
Raden Wratsangka was killed with a spear stab wound on his body, his blood flowing profusely before his face finally smelled the ground of Kurusetra. The three leaders of the Pandawa army as well as the famous brave Knight Wirata, died on the first day.
Soon the war drums and trumpets of war signs ended that day. In accordance with the agreement before Bharatayuda broke out, there were no more attacks after dusk and the drums of the day's war ended.
Now troops from both camps are raising the victims who died in the war during the day. A very different scene, when during the day they fought each other, this afternoon they helped each other to lift the fallen soldiers.
