Chapter 10 - The Drain

Later that night, instead of sleeping, Ethan chooses to go outside. He was wearing a black coat with a hood that almost covered his entire face. This was done to avoid his identity being seen by accident.

Before going out, Ethan checks his equipment and luggage first.

"Core Slime that Mia has bought... the amount is about 33... does it cost about 3 Copper Coins? It's too cheap."

Copper Coins were completely useless. For one night of stay, it takes at least 70 Copper. So you can imagine how many Core Slimes one had to hunt for one could stay overnight.

Other than Core Slime, he carried no unnecessary things and only carried a dagger to dismantle the corpse of the Monster that he was about to kill.

Ethan pulls his hood to the limit and immediately jumps off the balcony.

With one word from Ethan, the sewer immediately shone bright even if only for a moment. The light that subsides then shows the initially turbid water to be slightly improved even though it does not become clear.

Ethan who saw that was a little surprised by the result which was far below his expectations.

"This.. is more severe than expected.it does not even affect much yes.." he murmured while thinking hard.

Ethan's daydream is interrupted when his detection catches an approaching sign. The number is very large and there is no good intention of the sign that comes.

Big Rat, with a much larger number than before, came straight towards Ethan. To the Big Rat who had come, Ethan could not hide his irritation.

"Did the rats not know how to read the atmosphere?" ethan Grunts.

He immediately stood up and gazed towards the incoming Big Rat. Ethan's eyes were red, burning in the darkness like a Devil staring at Big Rat.

"I'm in a hurry you know?" ethan said, he stretched out his hand, "."

Manipulating the water in the sewer, Ethan creates an enormous water dragon the size of a bus car.

"Kieeeek!"

"Kieeeek!"

Surprised by the sudden appearance of the Water Dragon, Big Rat tried to retreat from his path, but it was already too late. The Water Dragon opened its mouth and lunged towards Big Rat.

As if not enough with that, Ethan also cast another magic.

"."

"Kieeek!"

That electric shock added pain to Big Rat. They desperately tried to run away. But Ethan doesn't plan to leave them. Today, he would slaughter them all.

"."

A slash of wind slashed at the necks of the Big Rat who had managed to escape from Ethan's two initial magic. Its accuracy in usage is remarkable. It was equivalent to Missile-type magic that would target the targeted object until it was hit or destroyed.

In just a few minutes, the Big Rat horde was instantly wiped out completely. All that remained of them were the wretched corpses.

Ethan doesn't care about it and refocuses on the sewer. But, it was again disturbed by a much more pungent smell of the nose. Ethan clamped his nose and his forehead wrinkled.

"Dam. I shouldn't have used the water from this drain" Ethan said a little regretfully.

Ethan can't protest to anyone about this. This happens because of his own actions.

"Yes, let's get this over with and get going."

Ethan returns his focus, he stares back at the sewer. Ethan once again put it on the water. Different from before, this time, two Magic Circle formations that were different from each other, were created. It was a combination of the Magic Circle with two types of magic only.

A much brighter light shone back that night. This time a little longer, and when it subsided, the result was much better, the jet-black turbid water turned dark brown. But, this is enough, the rest is to be left to the adorable cute creatures that Ethan calls out.

Ethan turned towards Slime and tried to give the order.

"So, Slime-"

But, Ethan stopped calling when he saw the Slime-Slime he called. The Slime-Slime they ate the bodies of Big Rat that Ethan killed.

"Hey! What are you guys doing! You guys ate my magic stone!" ethan shouted furiously.

Other than for safety, another reason why he was willing to go out at night to this place he hated the most was because he needed a magic stone for his research. But, all of that was already eaten by Slime.

Ethan fell down. He stared helplessly at the Slime eating his precious magic stone.

"No way. shit…."

Ethan held back his tears, those teary eyes were really describing his current feelings.

"Slime no breed!"

Unable to bear it any longer, Ethan shouted towards Slime and immediately left the sewer while crying over the Big Rat Core that Slime was eating.

The pyu?

Slime looked at Ethan confused, but it was only for a moment that they immediately lost interest and went back to eating the Big Rat that Ethan had killed earlier.
