The Heart You Injured

The Heart You Injured
Chapter 89. Slowly Scattered

"Geez Sur, I really didn't expect to see you again. If it's not wrong we met for the last time at Junior High graduation huh?"

At a tofu shop in the market, Kartina invites Surti and Dinda to pull over. After enjoying the dish I knew it, now they chat to and fro and drift in nostalgia.

"Yes Tin, finished Junior High, you moved house while I didn't continue school and chose to work."

"It's not why Sur, each of us has outlined the destiny of his life and we can only continue to live it."

"Then, why are you here Tin? Didn't you and your family move to Sumatra?" surti asked a little curiously.

Kartina nodded her head. "Betul Sur, but after I lost my parents, husband and eldest son, I chose to return to this city."

"Innalilahi .... Sorry Tin, I didn't mean to remind you of that."

Tina just smiled thinly while shaking her head slowly. "It's okay Sur. What is clear is that I am happy because my daughter has just married the man she loves. After failing at her first marriage, she finally meets the right man to be her life partner."

"Alhamdulillah ... I'm so happy to hear that, Tin."

Kartina rolled her gaze towards Dinda who had been busy with a cell phone in her hand. He wondered who this woman was.

"Oh yes Sur, is this your daughter? How beautiful she is!"

Surti chuckled softly. Didn't expect that his colleague was mistaken for his son.

"Not Tin, this is my replacement when I no longer work at my employer's house. It's been almost two months that he's been working in Jakarta."

"Oh, I thought she was your daughter."

"No. He's so sorry. Intentions return home to meet her husband and father-in-law, but she finds the house occupied empty uninhabited. Therefore I intend to take her to rest at my place first."

"Geez, the story is like that? How can his house be empty, where are they going?"

Dinda who unintentionally heard Kartina's question, she fused her gaze towards this woman in front of her.

"I also don't know Mom, because it's very difficult for them to be contacted. Even I think my husband and mother-in-law have changed their cell phone numbers."

"Then what are you going to do, son?"

Hearing Dinda's story, makes Kartina's heart a little pity. But he also doesn't know what to do.

"Mother is sorry, son. Hopefully soon you can meet your husband and father-in-law."

"Aamiin ma'am, thank you so much."

Surti saw the digital clock on the phone he was carrying. It didn't feel like he was in the market for nearly two hours. He patted Dinda's shoulder.

"Dinda, let's go home. For a while you lived in my house. Later in the day you can go back to your house maybe your husband and in-laws are back."

Kartina was a little surprised to hear Surti calling Dinda's name. The middle-aged woman was not so unfamiliar with the name Surti had called.

"Wait a minute Sur!"

"Yes Tin, what's wrong?"

"You called this woman with Dinda?"

"Betul Tin, his name is Dinda. What's the matter Tin?"

Tina tried hard to remember Dinda's name. This name was no stranger to his ears. Instantly both his eyes were wide open during his conversation with Sonya during their children's wedding began to ring in his ears.

"Son, if you may know, what is the name of your husband and father-in-law?"

"My husband's name is Bayu, Mom. My father-in-law is named Sonya!"

"Whataa?!!!!!!"
