The Hundred Thousand Woman

The Hundred Thousand Woman
The Part 39

Wilson was really upset that when the job was not done, his parents instead casually told him to come to the house that very second. Imagining his work that will accumulate because it is not completed according to the timeline that Jack made Wilson really want to kick all the items in his room.

Just imagine, he has been on leave for four days—already calculated with one extra day—just to visit the island xxx, then he just inhaled the air of Manhattan, his presence inevitably had to be in the office to complete his work. Make no mistake, even though Wilson was the top leader in the company, the man had the most responsibilities and the most hard work there. Sometimes he does not sleep so busy and claims if Sunday is heaven for him— usually he only sleeps all day on Sunday.

Leo Zhang could not be reached, so he had to drive himself to his parents' house. Even though he is currently lazy to drive and intends to use the services of Leo. When he found out that Leo's phone number was off, Wilson immediately assumed that Leo was spending time with his wife. Getting angry? Sure was! It felt like he wanted to quickly hit the two people, but his mind did not allow it. He wanted to get Maureen back, instead of losing Maureen. Let Leo feel the flowery love first before Maureen finally leaves and returns to Wilson.

It took him about forty-five minutes to get to his parents' residence. The distance between the company and the luxury mansion was different directions, making Wilson have to take a detour. Unlike the company's distance to his house which only ranges from thirty minutes, making Wilson do not need the services of a private driver to take him.

It did not take long to park his car, because indeed he just parked it origin, right in front of the yard of the house that is already like a mini forest.

There were several male servants who gathered to approach Wilson when the car was parked.

Seeing that, Wilson casually threw his car keys at one of the servants, hinting that the waiter parked his car neatly. One thing, Mrs Hovers does not like if Wilson or her husband parked the car in her yard carelessly. If that happened, he would not hesitate to pull the hair of the two men and scold him, telling him to park the car in the right place.

Unlike expected, when he entered this magnificent mansion, the mother—unlike usual— greeted him, waiting at the door with the maidservants lined up behind him.

Mrs Hovers smiled brightly, embracing warmly to welcome the arrival of her only child. "Let's go in. Your daddy is waiting inside" said Mrs Hovers, bringing her son in and ordering the servants to return to their jobs immediately.

Lazily, Wilson stepped foot while removing the hand of the mother who was now embracing her shoulder, feeling uncomfortable about it.

"Can't Mom just say it over the phone? Is what you want to talk about later something important?" wilson continued to follow in the footsteps of the mother who led him to the living room, where his father had been waiting. And it's true that as their distance nears, Wilson's bead can see the figure of his father sitting on his back.

"Something's important, Wilson. We should discuss three of them" replied the mother, taking Wilson to sit opposite her husband.

A slow pat on Mr. Hovers' shoulders made him look at Wilson and finally open his voice.

"How's your honeymoon on xxx island? Smooth, Wil?" The father asked then was replied with a nod and a short answer that said if the honeymoon went very smoothly, when in fact it did not, because many painful moments there.

A second later, after hearing the words of his son who was either just a lie or indeed pure honesty. Mr. Hovers smiled again and nodded in relief.

"Veila, is she okay?" Mr. Hovers asked again, but because what was asked was Veila, Wilson became a little displeased. Of the two women in her house, why was only Veila questioned? Why not Maureen? Is this an act of favoritism?

"Why is Daddy asking Veila? Why not just ask about Maureen? Oh, or both at once?" asked Wilson in a dislike tone that was not too audible.

Not responding with a sharp tone as his son had done, Mr. Hovers replied, "Maureen was here yesterday, brought us fruits and informed him of his good condition. Daddy knows what you're thinking right now, Wilson. But I'm sorry, Daddy didn't mean to specialise with one of your two wives."

A little surprised when he heard the words of the father who said Maureen had been here yesterday, but usually they both always go to the home of parents—both Wilson and Maureen— together, never go alone.

Feeling that Wilson would not answer Veila's question, Mr. Hovers immediately switched the conversation. "Did your Mommy say anything about what we're going to talk about?" A successful question left Wilson shaking. Oh, he does not want if his parents discuss about the descent that he was trying to get. He had time to think, what important things would his parents want to discuss? A job? The project? Or something new?

If you only discuss this kind of thing, the mother or her father can say it directly over the phone, right? Don't you know how hard Jack's parents had to rechedule all his pending job lists? And, oh my God! Birthday events are not so important to Wilson! Without even needing to be celebrated grandly, everyone already knew that his company would have a birthday.

"Didn't that not matter? Why should it be celebrated if such a thing is not really necessary to celebrate?" chirping Wilson, made Miss Hovers wipe the chest after hearing the words of her son. Obviously for them—tuan and madam Hovers—that year of the company is very important. If you look back on how Wilson's grandfather founded and built the company from scratch, making the two parents strengthen their desires.

"Just mommy doesn't want to know, we have to organize a fancy party to celebrate the age of the company that has turned sixty! Wilson Alexander Hovers, you'd better follow the will of your parents. You've been a lot of dissent, it's good to agree with our will!" insinuations mistress Hovers who actually made Wilson roll his eyeballs lazy.

Unwilling to hear his mother's ravings and linger in this house just for debating something that can even be completed in a few minutes, inevitably, the man nodded his head, signify if he agrees and will grant the wishes of his parents.

There's a reason Wilson's not throwing a corporate birthday party, all because all the business relationships that come to meet the invitation always ask about the child. Something Wilson hates a lot, but his presence is very much awaited.

Leo did not stop smiling when he saw the woman in front of him twisting her eyes in annoyance, shaking her waist, then scolding her. "Can you stop following me? We can meet in the parking lot if I'm done shopping."

That Veila said, her soft voice pierced through Leo's hearing, making the man continue and continue to smile, unable to stop despite being forced. Though his intention was to be alone with Maureen, but when he saw his lover who was moody and daydreaming something, Leo immediately turned around and accidentally met Veila. Eventually they both end up at a supermarket in the bustling city center.

"Who followed you? It just so happens that I want to go there too" Leo replied, raising his shoulders, feeling superior to being able to reply to Veila's words. He won, because he could argue. This made the woman in front of him feel annoyed and finally turned around to continue her steps.

For Leo—for now—meliha Veila who is choosing groceries to put on the trolley is something fun. Especially when Veila asked for her opinion in choosing a product, it was like accompanying a wife for monthly shopping.

Honestly, Leo once imagined a little thing like this, he and Maureen were shopping together to fill their big fridge. However, it looks like it will happen—but in a long time—or will never happen. He had even repeatedly forced Maureen to leave Wilson and turn to him, but her lover always said; "Later, if the time was right I would have left Wilson. You trust me, don't you, Leo?" If the 'later' arrives and Leo has already decided to leave, will there be regret in the woman he loves?

Not felt, now they are both outside the supermarket with Veila's hands carrying a large plastic bag. Leo had offered to help since the cashier had given Veila some change, but the woman refused on the grounds; as long as I could, why should I ask for help? The words he had just heard from a woman and had made him speechless and finally smiled faintly. Veila, basically that woman doesn't want to trouble anyone. And maybe, there is a reason why at that time he—Veila Amor— was trapped in the nightclub.

"You want a latte?" bargain Leo, deliberately standing in front of the woman, makes their steps stop.

Veila glanced, across the street there was a bustling coffee shop. After all, his throat was dry because of lack of drinking, plus he had been around the supermarket for more than thirty minutes.

"I'll go buy—"

"Eh, there's no need. Because I offered, I'll buy it. Oh, I will also treat you, Miss Amor!" leo is excited.

Quickly, he pushed Veila's back, sat her down on an empty bench in front of the supermarket, told her to wait for a while and then immediately darted away to buy coffee. While Veila only had to pay attention to Leo's back away. In fact, the man did not have to bother to buy him coffee. If they wanted to, it would be better if they went and lined up together.

To get rid of boredom, Veila immediately checked the receipt of groceries, who knew there was something forgetfulness purchased. However, when he was focusing on the small writing on the paper, the sound of the bench dragged in front of him successfully made him look up. His eyes were perfectly rounded with fingers squeezing his thick clothes. A person sitting in front of him, throwing him a sweet smile, said, "How are you? It's been a while, yeah."

He, Charlie, is the root of all his life's problems.
