The Hundred Thousand Woman

The Hundred Thousand Woman
The Part 75

After a few minutes Wilson left Veila in the room, the brown door opened again, making Veila hurriedly wipe her tears with the back of her hand, trying to look good in front of someone who is visiting him.

Veila smiled, no, they both smiled bitterly as the gazes met each other and that very second, Maureen Cruz approached.

"You okay?" after his body was right in front of Veila, exactly like Wilson's previous position.

Actually he was not okay, but Veila nodded, muttering that she was fine. Lying to calm others down, Veila often does.

Maureen turned her head to the ceiling of the room, she wanted to talk to Veila about it since yesterday, but everything she had always managed to undo because she could not find the right time. Now, however, Maureen felt that she had to tell Veila the outpouring of her heart because she could not bear it. He was worried, unable to close his eyes properly every night, fear really haunted him.

"I want to talk about something serious with you,” he said with both index fingers he was playing. Looking at Maureen's movements, Veila felt that something was wrong, it was hard to get rid of by her thin beacon. "Yes?" Veila's short answer was able to make Maureen thump. Actually he was not comfortable to say this, but for the sake of his good and future, his beer was forced to issue one long sentence.

"You're following the flow of the contract, right? Give me the baby and leave Wilson after that?" Unmitigated, Maureen said all her anxiety was directly in front of Veila's face. Making the woman who was being asked a question was silent, unable to answer it in a short time.

Feeling that the question was ignored, Maureen immediately replied. "You've signed it, it means you've agreed to the arrangement of the contract."

Maureen stopped playing both of her index fingers and then hid both of her hands that started to shake behind her back. "I felt a change in attitude towards Wilson over the past two months. He even decided to sleep with you, giving me a completely unreasonable reason. If you were in position, what would you feel, Veila? We've been building this household for five years, but because of your presence, should we both end it?"

Veila could only listen, unable to answer all the questions Maureen was asking. He knew what Maureen was feeling as the first wife now. However, should all of that be charged to her, whereas Veila was just someone who received love?

Maureen started crying, they both cried in silence. No one spoke for a few seconds, before Maureen spoke up for the umpteenth time. “What my mama said is true, right? But, I will apologize for representing my mama who had spoken rudely earlier. Veila, I don't want to hurt you or me, I just want everything to go according to the initial agreement" he said.

Maureen wants everything back to how it used to be with her reneging on all of her past words where she was going to leave Wilson. The woman wiped away her tears at a glance, lowered her head, then immediately left the room.

When the big room came back empty, Veila's cry came back. The happiness that surrounds it never lasts for long. His mother, Charlie, and now Wilson, the people who once made him happy all went away so quickly, like snowflakes that fell to the ground and then slowly began to melt.
