The Javanese Land Swordsman

The Javanese Land Swordsman
Pakem Tanah Java

This story spread during the time of human exploration in the ocean. By word of mouth, from sailors to other sailors, even this has become common knowledge for people who fly sails in the ocean.

They believe that there is an empty island that should not be visited. Although the location was strategic enough for trading, no trader dared to set foot in that place. The land is known as Java Island.

Later, the news reached the ears of a Turkish king. The king called his coach, and the coach came before him. Then the king said:

“Hai coach..! I will ask you, is it true that the rumors about the island of Java, do you already know? he said it was still quiet and there were no humans, and it was still a wilderness.”

“Truely my lord, there is really no one who lives there, the news from the sailors who often sail the ocean sailing to Sumbawa through the island of Java, sir, the island stretches from west to east is located to the west of the island of Bali and there are many mountains,”

The king was stunned and said slowly:

“Hai coach..! You bring 40,000 people, equip them with agricultural tools and then go to Java!”

The king planned to populate the island of Java. He thought that the place was still habitable.

The patih received the decree he gave, lowered his head and hurried to prepare the equipment. Just in case, the weapon also did not forget to be brought.

By riding thousands of sail islands, departed the patih with 40,000 people to the island of Java. They left early in the morning and until late at night.

The migrants set up temporary campsites in the forest close to the North coast. They also prepared enough tents to spend the night there.

Evening has arrived. The patih who was on guard, walked towards the North coast. He looked at the vast sea of starlight. With breezy waves, the sea reflects the light again.

Byarr...

The sound of waves pounding on the rocks. Then the coach sat down by bending his knees. He smiled faintly, marked by his gratitude with his current state.

...Hope this continues until morning

Suddenly something rough touched his shoulder. The coach was surprised and immediately held the algae of his sword. After looking over, he saw a man smiling at him.

The man brought a coconut shell that had been split in two, then gave one of them to the patih. The battle contains a lot of coconut water.

“Kisanak tired right? drink this to keep your body fresh again!”

“Aahh.. Thank you,” the patih received the gift with both hands.

The man smiled and sat down next to the coach, and looked at the man who was drinking the coconut water.

“Where? Fresh isn't it?”

“Hhuummm aahh.. steady really dah,” the patih ended his drink.

“It is in vain if the land containing such a treasure is left like this,” the man then also drank coconut water directly from the shell.

“If you can know, what is the name of this kisanak?” ask patih.

“My name is Tohran, patih!” answer the man slowly.

“No need to be so formal, just call me Hamza!”

“So yes.. Hamza, beautiful name,” murmured Tohran.

A land wind blows through the leaves of trees. The sprain feels until it stings the skin. The two men talked about many things, until it did not feel late to arrive.

“Patih...! here's fast!” someone shouted from the forest.

Hamza immediately rushed towards the origin of the sound.followed by Sayan, he ran quickly.

“What's up?” ask Hamza.

“Someone has died.”

“What? show me!”

A crowd gathered in a tent, making the atmosphere on the quiet night change.

“Please give way!” Hamza saw a man who was already helpless on the bench by a sobbing woman.

“Hiissk.. hisk.!”

There was no sign that the person who died had been ill. But the fact that he had died was inevitable.

“A-what is..?” hamza said stammering.

“Hisk... hiss..he... su..” the woman tried to speak up for her suffering.

But before he finished talking, suddenly the person who had been said to be dead moved and immediately strangled the woman.

“Aaaarrrrrggghhh...!!” his screeches.

“Hoy..! what is.?” Hamza held the man's hand and tried to catch a giggle with all his might.

“Ha..Hamza look back!” Tohran grabs Hamza from behind.

“What the hell...!? if you have time, I'd better help you.. Hiyyaaaahhh!!”

Their strength is not comparable, Hamza is not strong enough to pull him alone. Slowly, he looked back and hoped someone would help.

But what he saw was inversely proportional to his shadow. The gazes from the people behind made Hamza tremble. Especially Tohran who had realized earlier.

The eyes of those humans turned even darker. With a flat face, they met Hamza and Tohran.

“Aaa.. aa.. agh...” the strangled woman no longer makes a sound.

Braak!

Hamza opened the way by hitting his sword which was still sheathed. Tohran followed him with a breath.

They managed to get out, because those people did not chase and did not move at all.

But when they run away, they see even stranger things. Everyone looks crazy. Not men or women, they attack each other. Some of them even cut their weapons.

“Aarrggghhh.”

“Death!!”

“Hhyyyaaa.!!”

Sriing..

Like circus shows, they move non-stop. Kill each other, hurt, no more words of tranquility. Even everyone became even wilder than a savage beast.

The night that should have brought them peace became a gripping darkness.

Tohran can't think anymore. He knew this must be a delicate being, he knew also that this matter was no longer within his reach.

“Aaa.. aagghh.” Tohran held onto his head which suddenly hurt.

“Tohran, you too? Please hold on a minute!”

Hamza's face was very stiff, the teeth inside his mouth tightly tightened together. Despite hearing the annoying creature's voice, the coach could not see its form.

Hamza found a person who was still conscious. But soon enough, the man also went crazy and attacked Hamza.

...What am I supposed to do? I can't keep quiet, it's my fault I can't keep them.

Hamza has decided. The last choice is very difficult to determine. But for the sake of the survivors, he had to do this.

...Sorry, I'm sorry everyone.

After biting her own lips Hamza yelled, “Listen to me! Anyone you can hear me! If you want to survive, hurry up to the North coast and get off the island!

The sound echoed throughout the forest. Those who have not been tempted hear it. Because they do not know what else to act, they also follow the direction of the coach.

“Come.. Tohran!”

Hamza, Tohran, as well as the people who were still conscious ran to the North. In a hurry they tried to leave the place.

The jinn did not remain silent. Those who have possessed one's body, try to block the fleeing human.

As it moves north, the number of conscious humans continues to decrease. Some of them were killed and successfully possessed by the evil spirit.

The beach area they had stepped on. The humans rushed on the boat that pulled over on the edge.

“Quick..! save yourself!” shouted Hamza

Prancing...

Tohran. He lost his balance due to his painful head. The genie figure tried to possess him.

“Come Tohran.!” Hamza helps Tohran to move towards the boat.

“Quick..! No more time!” shouted one of the people on board.

Hamza and Tohran walked as fast as they could. While right behind them disaster is in pursuit. There will be no time, they cannot reach the ship. Or worst of all, the ship that was waiting for them would not escape either.

Tohran said slowly, “Hamza..! go!”

“What? There's no way I'm leaving you!”

“Thank you for that, but you must not risk their lives.”

“Ta-but..”.

“Goodbye,” with the rest of his strength, Tohran pushed strong Hamza forward.

“Tu-ladder.”

Hamza, who was bouncing, was captured by a man standing in front of the boat. While Tohra was buying time at her expense, the man quickly led Hamza into the boat.

“Dayung...! fast paddle!”

Hamza wriggled away and looked back. He saw Tohran being the tender food of the refined beings.

“How many boats successfully sail?” ask a ship crew member.

“Li-five... uh I mean four!”.

One of the four turned out to have been entered by a genie figure. The boat swayed and fell and drowned.

“Sial! that's right..”.

“What are you thinking!? Why did you bring us here!? It's all your fault you know! Hoy.. say something!” someone approached and grabbed Hamza's collar.

Hamza could not say anything more. Even for an apology.
