Chapter 69: Memories on the beach

That morning Laura and Ryan were not working in the office. After they prepare the materials for a meeting with the Starlight company, Ryan and Laura immediately go to the hotel they usually visit for their meeting with Renaldi, the CEO of the Starlight company.

As usual, they held a meeting in the VVIP room to discuss their cooperation. For hours they talked about their cooperation project seriously. 

"Sir Ryan, it's better if we just review the location. It just so happens that it's weekend now, so it's better if Mr. Ryan knows the situation there" Renaldi told Ryan.

"Alright Sir. I think so too. If we look directly at the situation there at the time of high season, it will certainly be easier to plan the project," said Ryan agreed to Renaldi's invitation.

Does that mean we're going there now? Address is no holiday for me, Laura said in her heart with a sigh.

Ryan looked at Laura, and he said,

"What's up Laura?"

Laura smiled awkwardly and shook her head as she said,

"There's nothing sir."

"Well, we better get going right now" Renaldi told Ryan and Laura.

"Okay sir" replied Ryan firmly.

Depart them to the project site for their cooperation. Laura grew anxious when the car she was riding with Ryan left the city.

It looks like the project is out of town. What time will I be home? I haven't told Mas Arsenio. Pity her for waiting for me like yesterday, Laura said in her heart while looking at the road she was walking through from the car she was riding with Ryan.

Laura sat in the passenger seat next to the driver. He turned to the driver and said in his heart,

It's fair that he didn't allow me to drive, it's the place so far.

This time Ryan took over the wheel. He told Laura that he would drive the car. Of course Laura had to obey and did not dare to ask. He just nodded his head to agree to Ryan's orders.

Laura's eyes sparkled when their car entered the resort area surrounded by beaches with a stunning natural atmosphere.

Totally beyond my expectations. I think the place is like a resort that I went to with Mas Arsenio, it turns out this resort is more luxurious and very beautiful scenery, Laura said in her heart with her face that looks happy to see the surrounding atmosphere.

"Let's see Mr. Ryan we go around first so you know this location," asked Renaldi while walking next to Ryan.

Renaldi who was also accompanied by his secretary walked along with Ryan and Laura. They walked around the resort area talking about their project.

After touring the resort, they were invited by Renaldi to eat with him. 

"Sir Ryan, I've prepared a room for Mr. Ryan and for Mrs Laura. If you want to rest, I will let you rest first. Or maybe take another walk. Later in the night we will again discuss our cooperation project after dinner," Renaldi said after sipping a drink.

"Well, I'm like a great guest at this beautiful place" Ryan chuckled.

Renaldi chuckled at Ryan's words. Then he said, too,

"Must dong. Mr. Ryan is our great guest. So we have to treat Mr. Ryan as best we can."

"Well, I'm so flattered sir" Ryan chuckled again.

After they make small talk, Renaldi leads Ryan and Laura to their room.

Inside her room, Laura looked in amazement at the atmosphere inside and outside the room. Suddenly he remembered something, though,

"Oh yes I forgot. I have to tell Mas Arsenio if I can't go home tonight."

After reading all the messages, Laura immediately contacted her husband. Unfortunately, her husband's number could not be reached.

"Where is Mas Arsenio? Why is his HP dead?" laura grumbled as she dialed back her husband's mobile number.

After many times tried, Arsenio's mobile number still can not be contacted.

Laura suddenly remembered Kessy working with her husband.

"Have it, maybe he was busy with the woman, so he didn't want to be bothered," Laura grumbled back while putting her phone on the table.

Imagining her husband being together with Kessy made her chest rumble. The pain in his heart was back. 

Immediately he walked towards the balcony and stood there to relieve the sense of tightness that was in his heart. He saw all the beautiful scenery and the blue water on the beach that was seen from the balcony of his room.

The rolling waves as if they were dancing made Laura smile. And the sound of the waves he heard made his heart feel calm.

However, her heart was pinched as she recalled spending the night with her husband in a parked car right on the beach.

His heart really hurts. He felt like screaming to let go of everything. Unfortunately he can't do that. There was something holding her back so Laura wouldn't do that.

I don't know, she also doesn't know what's holding her back so she can't yell to ease the pain in her heart or curse her husband.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" 

The male voice sounded familiar in Laura's sense of hearing. 

Laura turned to the source of the voice. He was shocked to see Ryan who was also standing on the balcony next to his room. And Laura forgot that her boss's room was near her room.

Laura looked back to the front where the beach that had caught her attention. Then he said,

"Very beautiful. It's even so beautiful."

Ryan smiled looking at Laura who was staring in admiration at the beach and its surroundings. He also said,

"Do you want to take a walk around the beach with me?" 

Laura turned to Ryan. He stared in disbelief at Ryan as he said,

"Do you mean we're walking around the beach now?" 

Ryan nodded his head confirming Laura's question. 

"Two?" laura asked back hesitantly.

Ryan nodded his head again confirming Laura's question which again seemed to be in disbelief with what she heard.

"But sir, didn't Mr Renaldi advise you to rest?" asked Laura who seemed to reject Ryan's invitation.

Ryan smiled at the question Laura asked him. Then he answered,

"Didn't Mr Renaldi also advise us to take a walk on the beach and its surroundings?"

Yeah anyway. But we're not a couple, sir. In a place like this supposed to be taking a walk with our partner, Laura said in her heart.

Ryan looked suspiciously at Laura who was suddenly silent as if he was thinking of something. He also asked,

"Why Laura? Is something going on?"
