Chapter 12 - BBQ and Tomatoes (Again)

Ethan is unconscious. Some of the guild members returned to Earth to take care of the affairs on Earth. After all, they were indwelling a Guild that had great influence.

In the Old Castle, there is left an unconscious Erica, Nina, Arya, and Ethan.

Erica comes every morning and evening to take care of Ethan in the morning and evening with magic . Occasionally, the guild members would bring herbs to speed up Ethan's recovery.

On the second day unconscious, Ethan finally opened his eyes slowly.

"Ha ..us." Ethan felt his throat so dry that it hurt to speak.

However, as his consciousness grew clearer, his entire body screamed in pain. "Ugh."

Ethan can't move. His entire muscle felt like it was ruptured and not powered up.

Ethan tries to find the person in the room. Luckily, I found Erica sleeping on the side of her bed

Whether distracted by Ethan's voice or something else, Erica slowly opened her eyes. When his eyes saw Ethan who was conscious, tears began to pool at the end of his eyes.

"Sir …?" Erica called out in a soft voice, looking in disbelief.

Ethan smiled painfully at Erica's messy condition. His eyes were swollen with large black eye bags. Her beautiful black hair became messy and branched.

Ethan tries to move his hand to wipe Erica's tears. "Don't worry. I– uhuk! Uhuk!"

Erica is shocked when Ethan starts coughing out loud and dry. "Sister! Don't force yourself! I'll get you some water first!"

Erica took the drinking water that had been provided in the drawer next to the bed. However, the water is not directly given to Ethan, but Erica drinks alone.

Ethan is shocked by Erica's evil actions. "Erica, you–"

Erica suddenly approaches and robs Ethan of his lips. Ethan widened his eyes. He could not move and only let the water flow in his dry esophagus. Ethan didn't even feel the water. Her brain was completely empty with Erica's unusual actions.

After repeating a few times until the water in the glass ran out, Erica pulled her face. She looked embarrassed, but, unlike usual, was flushed to her ears and neck.

"This is Saint's treatment. So, I hope Brother gets well." Erica makes excuses even before Ethan asks her the intent of her actions.

Ethan just laughed. A shy girl who transforms into Tsundere. In Ethan's eyes, it was so funny that Ethan would die from too high his current blood sugar levels.

The bedroom door opens before Ethan replies to Erica. The one who entered was, Nina who remained in the Old Castle.

"Erica, is it time to take turns to look after Brother– Brother?" Nina widened her eyes when she saw Ethan who was already conscious.

Ethan smiled slightly and waved to his little cousin.

Nina without thinking twice, immediately ran over and hugged Ethan firmly. "Sister! Thank goodness you woke up! I'm afraid I don't have a chance to repay Brother's kindness!"

Ethan felt his whole body screaming in pain. However, he could not push Nina who was currently crying out of pleasure for her recovery.

Fortunately, Erica who saw Ethan's painful expression, tried to calm Nina down. "Nina, Brother just came to a realization. You'd kill him if he hugged her too tightly like that."

Realizing that she was too emotional, Nina took off her embrace. "Sorry, I'm too happy, hehe."

Ethan patted Nina's head gently. "Yes, it's okay. You've been taking care of me as long as I'm unconscious, haven't you? Thank you." Thank you."

"Hehe." As soon as Ethan praised her, Nina could not help but smile.

"Sister. Does Brother want to return to Earth?" asked Nina curiously.

Ethan nodded. Massive Outbreak will happen the day after tomorrow. Ethan can't stay in the tower.

"Yes. However, before returning, can you get the Undead to patrol this Old Castle?"

Nina nodded with a big smile and she hit her chest. "certain. I will make this Old Castle impenetrable. So Brother rest in peace and focus on recovery."

Ethan is happy to see a very confident Nina. However, Ethan has trouble putting his gaze in front of the two chewy flesh that bounces when Nina hits his chest. Ethan tried to look to the side and saw Erica sitting there with swollen cheeks unhappy.

Ethan could only laugh bitterly. She was happy to have two beautiful roses in a sense.

The next day Ethan returns to Earth with Erica, Nina, and Arya. To celebrate, they start a BBQ party in Ethan's backyard.

"That's very surprising when you pass out, Ethan."

"That's right. However, it gets funny because you're unconscious after acting cool."

"‘It's okay. Leave it to the other members.’ so, he said, haha."

Ethan was silent with his ears red. He had nothing to refute the taunts from the guild members.

Nina who realized that Ethan's ears were red, laughed amusedly. "Haha! Look, Brother is shy! This is a very rare moment! Hurry up, capture this and put it on display at the Guild Museum!"

"Send me!"

Arya who had been holding the camera since when she had held it, nimbly photographed Ethan whose ears were reddened with embarrassment.

Czechoslovakia!

Everyone flocked to Arya to see the portrait.

"Hey, let me see the results!"

"Ck. How could he be so happy with red ears?"

"Well, that's Ethan Austin."

Michael, who has a business brain, soon finds a way to make money when he sees the results of the photos. "It's really impressive. I'm sure there'll be a lot of fans who want to buy Ethan's photobook."

Kiaa who likes money finds his eyes turning green. "We can also make it as an exhibition in the Museum. There will be many people flocking to see it."

Ethan feels uncomfortable when he hears the chatter of Kiaa and Michael. Ethan doesn't understand how Michael pairs up with Rara versus Kiaa. They have a love of money that is very similar to each other.

The BBQ party continues. The conversation never stops. No one knew what bad things would happen when they woke up tomorrow morning.

Erica, sitting quietly beside Ethan, whispers in Ethan's ear. "This is what you want to protect, right? I also have the same wish, Brother."

Ethan could only be speechless when he saw Erica's smile under the starlight. Erica is probably the only person who can read Ethan's mind so well. However, Ethan is happy because someone understands him.
