Chapter 21 - Day One!

Fifteen minutes passed. The Trouble Guild members gather together with Gordon who brings his private secretary Claire. They were already wearing their own equipment and preparing to leave.

"So, what about the position?" Gordon asked before they left.

"I think we'll use Jun as Main Tank and Gordon as Sub Tank. Meanwhile, the Damage Deal can be handed over to Arya and Michael. Claire and I are gonna go scout and map the path. The rest especially Silvia will do the cleaning and support the main Damage Dealt. How's it?" Li Mei expressed her opinion.

"Oh? Am I going to be a Sub Tank?" Gordon figured he'd be a major damage deal. He did not expect to be given the role of Tank.

Li Mei gave the reason behind her opinion. "Yes. Your strength is incredible. However, it was not suitable to fight against that many enemies. So, it is more effective to hold the enemy that escaped from aggro Jun. This plan will change if you fight Monster Boss."

Li Mei's reasoning was very solid. Moreover, Li Mei there was another reason that made her not want Gordon to become a Damage Deal that was, her mana efficiency was very bad for every attack. Gordon was really the same type of magician as in the old RPG or Anime Comedy where he could only use one skill and after that, he was completely useless.

Gordon who did not know Li Mei's thoughts, nodded unsuspectingly. "I understand. If so, I'll be Damage Dealt when it comes to fighting Boss Monsters, right?"

"really. Penetration from lightning magic is good for fighting Boss-type enemies who usually have strong defenses."

"If so, I won't protest anymore. Let's go soon."

After the party formed, they all left ushered in by the gazes of the other Hunters who were in the place. However, none of them dared to play around with Gordon.

Li Mei and Claire walked first. Li Mei who has the best camouflage ability and Claire who has the best detection ability. Both chart every corner of the city very well. They were looking for a place with the most Monsters so that party members could kill them.

"!" Jun as Main Tank, pulling agro from the Monsters.

"Guyaaa!"

The monster consisting of the Lizardman, Orc, and Ogre, attracted agro and charged towards Jun.

"Enemy's coming! Get ready!"

Arya and Michael immediately ran towards the Monsters from both sides. Meanwhile, Gordon attacks from behind Jun preventing the enemy from approaching their back liner.

Arya was like a ferocious beast, she broke through all sorts of Monsters and slashed them with her Great Sword. Michael, with his sword dance, kills every monster in the death dance.

Gordon was a little out of focus when he saw how the two coordinated so well that he was not aware of an Ogre fist drifting towards him.

"!?" Gordon's surprised. He was prepared to withstand his attack.

Bam!

A loud voice echoed. Gordon is fine, though. Jun swiftly did the cover and held back Ogre's fist.

"Gordon! Focus up!" Jun returns to focus on the enemy after alerting Gordon.

Gordon was surprised for a moment. This was the first time he felt so inferior when he was in a party. However, it is not a feeling of frustration or resentment. Gordon felt extremely challenged to follow and surpass the party's abilities.

Gordon fixed his horses and grinned. "I'm sorry. There won't be a second time."

After that, the fight became very one-sided. Gordon continued to grow as he watched every move of the guild members trouble. Gordon is no longer just an attacking origin. He began to do calculations despite still many flaws in his movements.

When they reached Santa Clarita, they decided to take a break. They had been fighting for almost 12 hours and the sun had already started to set in the western horizon.

"Fighting with you is truly an experience." Gordon smiled in satisfaction even though his body was very tired right now.

"Haha. Fighting with you guys isn't bad either, Gordon, Claire. It was much better than the other party." Jun said it with dead eyes as he recalled how difficult it was to fight with a random party during the Gate Collapse.

The other guild members also nodded with the same expression as Jun. The experience of fighting a random party during an evacuation in Indonesia was so bad that it was almost to a traumatizing level.

Gordon just smiled a little. He was not offended even though the praise Jun gave was not maximal. Their levels were so different that Gordon did not even dare to compare between him and the Trouble Guild members.

"I think we should go back to headquarters to give a report." Claire got into the conversation and reminded everyone that it was almost dark today.

Hearing that, everyone who was engrossed in talking and joking with each other, looked up at the sky and was surprised if the day was really nearly dark.

"I agree. Let's go back soon."

"OK~"

With a single voice, everyone returned past the path they had cleared before.

"Hey, isn't that Gordon and that rookie party? They're back safely."

"Well, Gordon's obviously protecting them."

One by one the other Hunters whispered about the mixed party between the Canaries Corporation and the Trouble Guild.

Gordon almost laughed at the comments from other Hunters guessing about their Raid. Gordon found it funny and sad to see how much people were degrading Trouble Guild members who were like Monsters.

"Welcome back, Mr. Gordon." The same sergeant as before, came to welcome Gordon. The sergeant did not even stare at the Trouble Guild members who were right beside Gordon and Claire.

Nina and Arya are very upset by the Sergeant's attitude. However, when they felt the gaze from Erica, they simply refrained from speaking.

"Gordon, we go for a break first. If so, see you." Jun represents all the members, saying goodbye to Gordon. Jun completely ignored the Sergeant's whereabouts.

"Oh, sure. Rest up. I'll upload the raid video today." Gordon who had not even replied to the Sergeant's words, replied to Jun's words with a wide smile.

The sergeant was caught in an awkward situation. If the person in front of him wasn't Gordon, he would actually shoot him in the head for upsetting him.

The sergeant forced his smile and asked once more. "Mr Gordon. How far are you Raid today?"

Gordon stopped smiling as the Trouble Guild members had already moved away and glanced at the Sergeant with his usual arrogant facial expression.

"Santa Clarita." Gordon answered briefly.

The sergeant tried not to get angry and kept smiling. "so. So, you've arrived at Santa– What?"

The sergeant looked at Gordon with his mouth wide open. "A– you really got to Santa Clarita?"

Santa Clarita has a very long travel time even if it is just a walk from the Hollywood Walk of Fame where this base is located. Going home would probably take two days for a normal person. If you're fighting Monsters, forget two days, a week, they're not necessarily in Santa Clarita.

Gordon just shrugged his shoulders. "I'll upload the video. So, you can prove it if you want to."

Gordon leaves Sergeant and another Hunter still covered with question marks.

The Raid video done by Gordon and the Trouble Guild went viral on Sistube. That was because, they were actually fighting as a real team. Compared to them, the raid members of the other guilds would look like children trying to fight together.

they were also the first to enter the Tower. I'm sure because their fighting styles are very similar.

The video reached hundreds of thousands of viewers in just one night. Almost all of his reviews were filled with positive comments and pure admiration from ordinary people or low rank Hunters looking at the Trouble Guild's cooperation techniques and abilities.

Starting from the video, the Trouble Guild received many calls from many countries. Either to enlist them as a favor or a permanent Hunter in their Country.

One week after performing the Raid, Gordon, Claire, and the Trouble Guild almost reached the Tower. The more they approached the Tower, the more the Monsters present in the place were extremely powerful.

Before they advanced any further, they decided to do at least an exchange of opinions in a reasonably safe place.

"So, what should we do? I personally find it hard to say if we can win against the big snake that's near the Tower." Gordon opened the discussion with his opinion.

The snake Gordon was referring to was a 5-meter-long snake with blue scales that looked very beautiful. However, looking at its enormous size, it was certain that the Monster was extremely powerful.

Erica disagreed with Gordon. He spoke with doubt. "... I think we can do it if we're serious."

Nina nodded with Erica's opinion. "I also think the same thing. I don't think we'll lose if we get serious."

Gordon's pupils widened while Claire was visibly shaken by the Twins' words, saying they hadn't been serious in a week.

Hu Tao nodded and added his opinion. "I agree. However, thinking of the future, Hunter America needs to level up. I think it's better to do Raid with another Player."

Hu Tao's opinion was almost acceptable to everyone. Although, some still disagree.

"... It only adds to the casualties. I think we better do it ourselves." Silvia spoke with a grim face. He had seen too much death with his own eyes.

"... Do you want to continue living here, Silvia? If so, then we can stop thinking about that future." Kiaa asked with a serious face.

Silvia could not answer. He knew half-hearted kindness was just hypocrisy. So, he could not answer out loud though, his heart saying if his thoughts were not wrong.

After Silvia fell silent, no one else tried to resist. So the decision is unanimous.

"Because it's like this. Let's ask Hunter at the Defense Station to get ready soon."
