Chapter 27 - Stampede, Clear!

"Huh? This road is blocked too?" Jon grumbled annoyedly at the sight of the road being closed for the umpteenth time.

The Red Bulls Guild was already getting used to the 3rd Floor Examination Field. The ant monsters appeared less and less and less and less.

However, they continuously found a dead end no matter which direction they walked in, as if they were not allowed to get close.

"Destroy this! We're making too much time!" Jon yelled out the order to destroy the wall.

In normal situations, Jon is unlikely to give such an order. However, the fatigue and stress that accumulate, coupled with the lack of oxygen and sunlight levels, make Jon can not think normally.

Witches try to blow up the walls of the land with their magic.

A small explosion echoed. However, not so significant. It only left a small mark after dozens of magic were fired.

"Argh! That bastard! You guys are completely useless!" An already upset Jon tries to smash the wall with his axe.

Jon's axe attack managed to make a deep enough crack. Therefore, they could hear the noise from behind the walls and the burning smell from behind the earthen walls.

The huge ant forcefully tried to break through. Because of Jon, the earthen wall began to collapse forcefully. Jon indirectly helps the ants to destroy the earth wall.

"Hieek!? Run on! Everybody run!"

"Save your lives!"

The members of the Red Bulls Guild began to scatter away to escape their deaths.

"As expected, they're really stupid."

A voice they did not recognize sounded in everyone's ears. From the opposite direction to the members of the Red Bulls, Hu Tao and Carmila appeared. They held their weapons ready to hold back the dying swarm of ants.

The scythe coated with black energy swung out lightly destroyed the skeleton of the ant. Hu Tao continued to move and swung his scythe incessantly holding the ants away further away.

Carmila is not losing. He was preparing to use one of his strongest skills. Grasping the sword in front of his chest, a bright light enveloped Carmila's sword.

A bright sword aura split the ranks of ants like waves sweeping through everything that was in the way. Hu Tao laughed bitterly at how serious Carmila was. The Red Bulls members who saw that, just watched with their jaws touching the ground.

"... Lets move. Looks like Queen Ant isn't here." Hu Tao turned around and left just like that after showing the true way of fighting to the Red Bulls members.

Carmila who was quite tired from using too much mana, tried as much as possible to follow Hu Tao who moved with very light footsteps with her small body carrying a scythe that was larger than her body.

On Earth, Ethan focuses on meditating and spending time with Erica and Nina. He also introduced Alice to the two. Ethan doesn't want a misunderstanding to arise.

"Will ... everything be okay?" Nina who was playing the game, looked worried thinking about the Trouble Guild members who were already 5 days inside the Tower.

"Why should I worry? If they're gonna defend against me for five minutes, that means they're capable of it." Ethan looks very relaxed and just enjoys the softness of Erica's thigh cushion on her head.

Erica who heard the relaxed and confident reply from Ethan, smiled bitterly. Ethan didn't even try to pretend to worry about the safety of the Trouble Guild members. If they heard about it, they would cry.

"ah! I won, Erica!" Nina screams as she the car she controls, makes it to the finish.

"What!?" Erica did not believe she lost at the last turn as her focus was sidetracked.

[Floor 3 Successfully Completed.]

[Time Up to Next Stampede: 90 D.]

A pop up stating the completion of Floor 3 appeared. Ethan smiled slightly not so surprised. Erica and Nina heaved a sigh of relief as their comrades completed the mission in time.

"However, why didn't the Hall of Fame appear?" Nina tilts her head because the pop up that appears is different from the pop up when Ethan successfully completes Floor 2.

"Of course because they finish too long."

Ethan completed 20 Rounds that no one else has completed since the Tower was first built. So, it's not unusual for Ethan to be in the Hall of Fame. On the other hand, the Trouble Guild members completed it for too long. It is impossible to enter the Hall of Fame.

Ethan got up from his comfortable position. He must prepare to welcome the arrival of the Heroes who returned from a very heavy struggle.

"So, did something happen specifically on the 3rd Floor?" Ethan opens the question directly, without congratulating them on their success.

"There's nothing special. Merely, the Red Bulls Guild lost over half a member." Li Mei replied representing the Guild members and Gordon and Carmila who were eating.

Ethan was not so surprised by the death of more than half of the Red Bulls Guild members. Despite being said to be Elite, they were only at Rank C. No wonder they would die against so many ants.

"However, their Guild Master, Jon Viver, blamed us for the death of his partner." Hu Tao added to the report with a frown. Obviously, he was very upset by Jon's attitude.

The other Trouble Guild members tilted their heads with question marks not understanding what the two were talking about. On the other hand, Gordon and Carmila who are familiar with press and media rumors, realize what Ethan is trying to do.
