Chapter 2 - Trouble Guild

"Other World Championships~"

"Silver. Did you see the expression of Caster and the opponent? They were actually hit by a mental attack for losing less than 5 Minutes~"

On December 31, as previously discussed, the Guild members who had just won the World championship, gathered in the backyard of Ethan Mansion.

"See how I killed 4 Tanks on their team? It became trending~" The German man who kept boasting it was, Michael Kroos. He's a Swordsman whom Ethan invited to play [Eden].

"Therefore, I had absolutely no chance of using [Meteor] in a Grand Final match. Though, I've been saving it for the regular season." A purple-haired eggplant woman who spoke English stuttered, protesting against Peter who did not seem to care. That woman is Silvia Aymeric.

Ethan sat in the corner with a glass of wine without alcohol in his hand. He was watching the conversation that seemed to have no end.

"Hey. Why was the Host just sitting with a gloomy expression in the corner of the room?" A bear-a man so tall and muscular, approached Ethan. It's not wrong to say it's a bear.

Ethan looked at the big man cynically, not hiding any displeasure. He even blatantly clicked his tongue in front of the Bear "Ck. Butchers should just focus on grilling meat, Jun."

Jun, a childhood friend and Main Tank Guild, is neither shunned nor infuriated. He proudly raised his sleeves, revealing his well-trained muscles. "Hm. Then, let me grill the meat that has the best quality for you."

Exposing his white teeth to appear bright, Jun began grilling the meat. His hands were so deft when he applied the seasoning and flipped the meat. The smell of his flesh made everyone stare towards Jun hungryly.

Silvia stopped arguing with Michael and she spoke in a surprised tone at Jun's grilling ability. "I know you're good at grilling, honey. But have you always been this good?"

Jun laughed out loud. "Haha. I learned a lot from Erica. Compared to my Master, I'm not close to his skill~"

Everyone stared at Erica who was giving a piece of meat to Ethan's mouth in a corner of the garden.

"Well, it's Erica. The food is the best."

"That's right. It was impossible for Jun to surpass him."

Erica's cooking skills are on another level. So, they weren't too surprised if Erica taught Jun, a bear, to bake.

Everyone's gaze then fell towards Nina who was bribing the flesh greedily. In contrast to Erica, Nina who is so energetic does not emit a feminine aura that it looks so contrasting between the twins.

Nina who realized the intent of the Guild members' gazes, became annoyed. "Say me if you have any complaints! Just a reminder, I am at least able to do housework!"

Of course, it was impossible for anyone to believe Nina's desperate words.

"Nina, if you want to lie, do a reasonable lie." Arya, the non-muscular Jun, looked at him with eyes full of sympathy.

Leo, a teenage boy with brownish skin, nodded in agreement with Arya's words. "It's an open secret that you can only eat, play games, then sleep."

Nina pouted and her cheeks puffed. She even looked like she was going to cry.

"Ymm! Then what!? Even if I can't do it all, I'm still cute!" Nina turned her face in annoyance.

Everyone looked at each other and nodded simultaneously as if agreeing on something. Then, once again they looked towards Nina. This time, their gazes were filled with sympathy and pity.

"Really, right. It's okay to be useless."

"Excite, Nina!"

"We support you."

Nina's feelings didn't get any better when she heard Guild members encouraging her. He became very upset because he felt made fun of.

Nina who was dead-end, used her last skill.

"Sister! They are! They all bully me! What if we cut their pay!?"

Nina's last move was to complain to her sister! Here, Ethan, the Guild Master as well as the Owner, was the most powerful figure. In a Guild, his words were an order and were absolute.

Nina looked at the Guild members who bullied her with a triumphant smile. She has the support of her sister, bullying her is a crime.

"Hm? Well, that's a fact. So, it's not bullying." Etha replied indifferently.

Nina was stunned to hear Ethan's answer. Her eyes began to water ready to cry. While Arya and Leo stroked the chest in relief. They were worried that their salaries would be cut.

"Brother you are evil!" Nina started crying. Of course, it's just acting.

The atmosphere so crowded and lively continued. The seemingly limitless flesh, the warm laughter of Guild members, all gave off a calming atmosphere. It is hard to believe that the Earth will be destroyed soon.

An interface screen that displays their statistics in numerical form appears. The familiar UI appearance reminds them of the VRMMORPG game, [Eden].

"This ... is this a new project from [Eden]?"

"That's impossible. No matter how advanced the technology is, it is impossible to create things out of nothing like this."

They all understand that. Unfortunately, they do not want to accept that everything in front of their eyes is a reality.

On the other hand, Ethan was just silent with a puzzled expression staring at the [Status] in front of him.

Eyes that are able to see all sorts of things in this World. It depends on the level difference between the user and the target. There was a chance that the Ability would be canceled if the difference was too great.

"What the fuck?" Ethan exclaimed in surprise.

Ethan licked his dry lips. The three best Abilities one could possess and a Trait Rank Myth. Trait Rank Myth earned Hunter 11 Status Points each level up, 4 points higher than Legendary Trait. The downside was, it required more Records to level up. However, that weakness is covered with Ethan's three underhanded abilities.

"Hey, hey. Take a look. He said there was a Tower that suddenly appeared in Riyadh!"

"Oh, in Kuala Lumpur too."

Ethan distracts from the status when he hears the voices of Kiaa and Arya. Both show a thread on a platform about the appearance of a Tower. 

"In addition, a red Spiral also appears in Alaska."

"That's not Aurora, is it?"

Everyone just shut up. No one could answer Silvia's question. They are also curious about what is happening right now.

That was when, they stared towards their Guild Master who was just silent and acting strangely. He was not surprised or panicked by all the strangeness that was happening.

Sensing the surrounding gazes, Ethan looked back at them all. "What?"

"Do you know what's really going on?" Kiaa, one of Ethan High School friends, immediately asks what everyone wants to hear.

"Do you think I know?" Ethan replied indifferently.

Hearing Ethan's reply, everyone became awkward. They're too used to Ethan always having the answers to every problem. So, subconsciously they always ask him every time a question or problem arises that they do not understand.

Ethan felt a little worried about the Trouble Guild members' dependence on him. However, he decided to give a faint hint to them now.

"Think this. A panel showing our statistics appears. In addition, a function is allowed to buy a sharp weapon and a potion as in the game. Perhaps, something that only exists in a fantasy story will happen."

Nobody laughs at Ethan like a joke. That's because, they already realized it before Ethan explained. This situation is too strange.

"However, Monsters and Demons could be categorized as Alien as well, right?"

The topic of conversation slowly began to deviate. Ethan could only smile bitterly at how calm these members he had trained were.

Ethan suddenly woke up from his seat, attracting the attention of all the Guild members. "Let's sleep. Tomorrow, we'll check if something's wrong. Then, let's think about what to do next."
