The Last Human Returns.

The Last Human Returns.
Chapter 3 - The Beginning of Chaos.

"The Cyber Crime Division is currently exploring whether or not the messages that appear before everyone constitute fraudulent crimes. The government appealed to the public not to carelessly touch or manipulate what is inside the interface screen."

"... How is the Cyber Division looking for something that isn't even related to Cyber?" Silvia sneered as she listened to the TV news in the morning.

As expected, the news of the series of strange phenomena last night became a trend. TV, social media, print media, all talk about mysterious messages to everyone.

"Reported, a red hole was scattered at several points in Indonesia. For now there is no information about the identity of the hole. However, the Society is urged to keep a distance from the hole for now."

"Further news about the emergence of Mysterious Towers spread across 15 cities, namely, Riyadh, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Amsterdam, Ottawa, Cape Town, Guatemala City, Antananarivo, Tbilisi, Beunos Aires, Cairo, Melbourne, Melbourne, etc, New Delhi, Porto, Seoul, and California."

The information in the news was still the same as in his previous life. Ethan breathed a sigh of relief. At least there is no butterfly effect at this time.

Erica, sitting next to Ethan, whispers in Ethan's ear. "Sister. Now I'm sure of Brother's hypothesis regarding Monsters and Demons."

Ethan glanced at Erica who said the unexpected. Erica has always been a logical character and does not easily trust intuition or opinion without basis like fiction. However, out of everyone, Erica said she believed in the existence of Monsters and Demons.

"Is there a reason?"

Erica touched her chin and said something that made Ethan surprised. "Hmm, I'm not sure. However, since nightfall, I somehow could feel a sensation like [Mana] in the air."

Etha's cheeks twitched. There had not been a day since Mana flowed on Earth and Erica was already able to sense Mana. Ethan felt his head throb. In his previous life, Ethan needed 7 days to feel [Mana].

Intrigued, Ethan used [Monarch Eyes] to check Erica's status.

[Name: Erica Austin]

[Race: Human]

[Level: 1]

[Title: None]

[Trait: Saintess of Unnamed God]

[Strength: 5] [Stamina: 7] [Constitution: 5] [Dexterity: 5] [Mana: 10]

Unique Skills:

[Blessing of Star: E-] [Holy Judgement: E+] [Divine Healing: E]

Ability:

[None]

Ethan's pupils dilated as soon as he saw Erica's status. 10 Points on [Mana] status at the beginning is something that has never happened in the past. The value of [Mana] Erica was the same as Ethan who collected [Mana] for the past 5 Years by meditating.

Erica became restless when her sister was silent and only looked at her with a bitter smile.

"Sister? Did I say something weird?"

Smiling, Ethan rubbed Erica's head gently. "none. I'm just a little surprised you've been able to sense Mana when there hasn't been a day since the evolution of the Mana-filled Earth."

Erica tilted her head, not understanding why she received the praise from her Brother. "What does Brother mean? Isn't this normal? Everyone has felt Mana since waking up."

Ethan's jaw dropped and he turned to the other Guild members who had been eavesdropping on their conversation ever since.

"Is that true?"

The Guild members all nodded their heads simultaneously at Ethan's question.

Ethan massages his temples due to an extreme headache. If it was just one person, Ethan would think of it as a blessing of a Genius. But now there are 12 people. There are impossible to be so many geniuses. Ethan has some guesses but, he has to put those things aside now.

Ethan calmed himself down and he glanced at the Guild members again. His lips curved slightly resulting in a smile that looked frightening to Guild members.

"Then, can you come to the field later in the afternoon to practice? I hope you guys don't run, okay?"

Everyone's back bones froze for a moment. Though not saying it clearly, Ethan's intent could be seen in their eyes. Workouts. There was nothing scary about those words. However, while training with Ethan, their bodies are traumatized again.

***

In the afternoon, the entire Trouble Guild members, ran around the field that was designated as the helicopter runway. It is enough to accommodate two football fields.

"Huh .. Hah …."

"My body is very heavy as if someone was clinging to my body."

In just one round, everyone had already run out of stamina. They already looked like dead fish with all the sweat on their bodies and their breaths becoming rough.

Ethan who was meditating to stabilize the Mana of the Black Peach, slowly opened his eyes looking at the already sprawled Trouble Guild members.

"... Take five minutes for men and ten for women. After that, you can run."

Hearing Ethan's unjust orders, the men file a protest.

"Wait on! Basic Devil! How can you discriminate so blatantly!"

"Really! We support gender equality!"

However, the protest delivered by Michael and Arya only responded calmly to Ethan.

"Michael, Arya, your rest is reduced by 1 minute."

Hearing the extremely cruel decision of their Demon Instructors, not only the defendants, Michael and Arya, all the members of the Guild became silent in silence no longer making a protest.

Trouble Guild members repeated the same exercise for 2 Hours. Their bodies were filled with sweat sweat. Their skin turned pale like a squid.

"Guild Master .. this is exhausting .. I will .. die."

"Oh, my body was exposed by God. It's so heavy all of a sudden."

Everyone no matter the woman or man, fell lying down. Some of them even have difficulty just talking and managing the gasps.

Ethan, meditating on a large rock, opened his eyes. The condition of his friends is no longer a joke. They might die if they force themselves to run again.

However, there is something that makes Ethan curious. "Is it so exhausting? I mean, you guys do more exercise than this, right?"

In terms of practice, no Guild and professional team were more diligent than the Trouble Guild. Each member will practice inside or outside the game. In other words, they are maniacs.

"That's because our bodies became so heavy and our blood moved so fast, putting a load on the body~" Nina answered Ethan's question with an expression about to die.

The other Trouble Guild members also nodded in agreement with the answer Nina gave.

Ethan nodded. He could guess the reason for the extreme exhaustion on his companions. "I understand. You can come back to rest. If there are no other activities, I hope you guys stay here."

Everyone put on a relieved expression when they heard they were released from Ethan's Hell training. Especially Michael and Arya.

Before leaving, Li Mei, a girl with white Chinese ancestry, raised her hand. "Before that, did you know the reason our bodies became weak?"

Members who want to leave immediately, undo their intentions and stay in place to listen to what makes them curious as well.

"Ah ... about that? Maybe because your body just adapted to Mana. Also, the atmosphere becomes denser making the body have to work extra."

"So, it's not because of Brother?" Nina asked as if surprised.

Ethan frowned. "No. Why do you have such strange thoughts?"

""""That's because you're a Devil instructor, right?"""" They all answered in one voice.

Ethan held his head in annoyance. He had not expected his image to be so bad in the Trouble Guild. Ethan doesn't remember the bad things he's done.

"You better disperse. Moreover, if you guys want to remain in the Guild, at least tell me your skills. I'll create a manual to train you guys. I'm not forcing. If you plan to leave, you don't have to."

They just nodded blankly, letting Ethan's words through his right ear and out his left ear. They are tired and just want to rest.
