A wooden binocular perched in front of one of Paijo's eyes. From his small lens but able to slash the visibility, Paijo closely watched every jet-black feathered pig monster that filled the prairie east of Astrois City. Carefully, Paijo watched every move of the monster, as well as every inch of his body.
"Where are you?" Gumam Paijo while staying focused on what is the main activity.
Right in front of Paijo, thousands of fights took place almost all over the prairie area. Of course the fight between the monster named 'Little Hell Pig' with the Zerenians. The metal clinks of the clashing weapons, the excited cries, the screams of pain from the monster attacks, and the triumphant cheers continued to resonate in turn.
There was no Zerenian in this place who did solo hunting. They prefer to do a party for the safety of each. It is natural to remember that death is not something that is expected by anyone. With the party they can keep each other and carry out a strategy for a common goal, which is to kill their prey.
In the world of Gedhetenan Land the number of members in a party is determined by the rank and rebirth of the party leader. The higher the rank, it can make a party with more and more members. Same with rebirth. While those without rank, the maximum number of party members that could be made only amounted to fifty people.
As far as Paijo's view goes, the number of party members in this place varies. From just two people to the most fifty people. Yep. Fifty people. The maximum limit of a party whose members no one has a rank. Then who would sillyly create a party with that many members just to fight a pig? Of course they are human.
"The longer they watch their behavior the more ridiculous and stupid."
"That's what happens when you become a useless race."
"Let them! Weak is weak!"
Hearing the contemptuous words towards the human race, Paijo could only wryly smile and turn for a moment to the source of the voice that turned out to be from a group of humanoid rhino figures. Paijo did not intend to reprimand them and defend the human race. In addition to realizing that it will only die silly if you do so, what the three figures say has a point. Judging from any side what the fifty-member human party was doing did indeed look ridiculous. Paijo also agreed with this.
But the behavior that seems ridiculous is the best way that humans can do as the weakest race. With so many party members attacking simultaneously, it can certainly confuse the monsters that are targeted.
When monsters attacked one or part of the party members, they would immediately take the action of escaping, while the rest of the party members could freely attack. Such a strategy continued until the hunted monsters were defeated. It seems cowardly, but it is a surefire way to keep away the name of death and minimize the number of injured members.
While being engrossed in watching a group of humans who are still doing hit and run strategies, Paijo's view of catching a Little Hell Pig is acting strangely. The monster was seen circling in place while continuing to roar. There was not the slightest sign of his movements hinting to attack. Really weird. If you pay attention to the appearance of the monster is no different from the others, both its size and body shape.
"The bingo! Finally met too." exclaimed Paijo excitedly.
In the digital handbook stored in white bracelets and brain implants, Little Hell Pig is an aggressive monster that will attack anyone who enters its habitat. The book also says that Little Hell Pig is a herd monster, which means that there is one leader among them.
Paijo believes that the monster he is watching is the leader of his herd. In addition to his strange behavior and being the only monster that did not attack Zerenian, every monster growl was always accompanied by the movement of other monsters that immediately launched an attack. It was as if the sound that shot out of his mouth was no doubt like the cry of an order on a subordinate.
"It's time to the next stage."
After putting the binoculars into the white bracelet storage room, Paijo rushed up to his target monster. Paijo moves calculatingly between the fierce battles in progress so as not to get caught between the riots that exist. Occasionally Paijo also hid in the ground basin when Little Hell Pig suddenly appeared from the ground.
Paijo did not expect that the black pig monster respawn was no doubt like a zombie that rose from the grave. Pretty scary. Moreover, his body turned out to be more sinister when viewed up close. Thin black smoke wrapped all over the four-legged monster's body. His body is very muscular. Around his eyes was clearly a tissue of pulse that emitted a dark red color.
After repeatedly avoiding the fight and sneaking around when Little Hell Pig appeared from the ground, Paijo finally managed to get close to the monster who was thought to be the leader of the herd or the boss of the monster in this place. Now Paijo is hiding behind a mound about twenty meters from his target. Mata Paijo continues to observe around, trying to determine what steps are most effective and efficient so that the plan that has been prepared since the beginning can run smoothly.
"What if I throw it with a stone?"
A simple idea suddenly explodes in Paijo's brain. By making little contact with the boss of the monster, Paijo hopes to get his full attention. Without wasting any more time, Paijo took out a stone as big as an adult fist. Then he came out of his hiding place and threw a stone at the boss monster.
Buuk!
Paijo's stone was right about Boss Little Hell Pig's head. A split second later the boss of the monster turned towards Paijo. His dark-black eyes stared calculatingly. One second, two seconds, three seconds the monster kept watching Paijo. There was not a single move from the monster. It was as if his two eyes were weighing whether to attack with full force or toying with Paijo first before killing him. But the unexpected happened. In the next second the boss of the monster turned his face away and relaxed away. I really don't think Paijo exists.
"Eh! What the fuck is that monster. Does he not think I exist? You brash monster!" because it was blatantly underestimated, Paijo checked the status of the monster.
Little Hell Pig's
Boss Monster
Level: ???
Rank: ???
Paijo's face turned sour after seeing the status of his target. The cause is of course because of the question mark symbol that fills the status of the level and rank of the monster. Paijo forgot that he was still at level one, so he could not see the overall status of his target who had a higher level.
According to the guidebook, Little Hell Pig was at level five. The problem is that the rank that the boss monster has is not listed in the guidebook. The rank level on the boss monsters was the same as the Zerenians, ranging from warriors to the highest Glorious Mythic. Each level a monster boss possessed would make him equal to a monster that had ten levels higher. The higher the rank boss monster, the higher the level of equality. That means that his strength has also increased greatly.
Not wanting his plan to fail miserably, Paijo again pelted the boss of the pig monster. Stones the size of a fist up to the size of a football floated all over the monster's body. The outcome? Of course, the result ended with Paijo being ignored. The pig boss really thought Paijo never existed. Even Paijo's screams filled with ridicule were not heard. Until an incident makes Paijo's self-esteem destroyed unceremoniously. Just as Paijo was about to throw for the umpteenth time, unexpectedly Boss Little Hell Pig defecated. Instantly the hard work that Paijo was struggling with turned into a stifling silence. The sky seemed to suddenly collapse and overlap Paijo to formless.
"Based on a fucking pig!"
Paijo who never expected to be humbled like that instantly burned his anger. Regardless of his safety, Paijo took a thousand steps toward the monster Boss who was still enjoying his shitting activities. In just a short time Paijo had stood behind the monster and shot a kick right into the back foot of the monster.
Ngiiikkk!
The one-and-a-half-meter-tall pig monster screamed loudly as Paijo's leg hit his stealth weapon. His body leapt to and fro withstanding the extreme pain. Paijo was satisfied with what he had just done. It was indeed cruel and heartless, but Paijo felt his actions were on par with what the Boss of the monster had done. But behind it all, something that Paijo had avoided from the beginning happened.
After struggling with the pain for more than a minute, Boss Little Hell Pig fully turned his attention to Paijo. His eyes turned violent and full of threat. A gaze that hinted if the owner wanted to immediately obliterate what was the object of his vision. The muscles throughout the monster's body doubled. While the thin black smoke that previously wrapped every inch of his body now blazed like fire.
Paijo, who saw the change, hurried around and left as fast as he could. His steps swayed nimbly away from the abyss of death that could at any moment swallow him. At the same time, Boss Little Hell Pig who saw his hunting target escape immediately acted. The monster who was now nearly three meters tall roared loudly. Very loud to echo into the entire city of Astrois, making the entire population drenched in curiosity. Curious at the new sound this first time echoed in their ears.
