The Light of Love (Children of Genius)

The Light of Love (Children of Genius)
Chapter 3. The Truth

It was five years ago.

The sun began to duck on the horizon, creating a golden light that embraced their bodies. Ella and Roberto sat on a large rock located on the beach, staring at the sunset with amazed expressions.

Their hands are tightly intertwined, as a symbol of the increasingly strong bond between them.

"This view is incredible, Roberto. The golden light of the setting sun was truly amazing," Ella said with eyes full of admiration.

"Yes, that's right. But, do you know what's more amazing?" ask Roberto.

He looked at Ella lovingly, smiling meaningfully as Ella raised an eyebrow at not understanding what she was saying.

"What's that?" ask Ella later.

Roberto was still smiling as he grabbed Ella's hand, clasping and tucking it with all his feelings.

"The blessing between us is getting stronger every day. Like the sunlight that keeps embracing the earth, that's how I feel about you."

"Oh, Roberto. Your words always make my heart melt. I feel so lucky to have someone like you" Ella blushed.

Their affection is not only seen in the big moments, but also in the small moments of affection. As they sat side by side on the rock, Roberto blew a small wind into Ella's hair, creating a gentle vibe that made Ella smile.

Ella responded by gently stroking Roberto's hand, revealing the warm feeling that existed between them.

Roberto again touched Ella's soft cheeks, channeling a chill that suddenly appeared in Ella's heart.

"My feelings are the same, Ella. Every moment with you is a gift to me. Like this gentle wind, she is like a witness to our love story.'

Ella smiled shyly, then placed her head on Roberto's shoulder.

"Sometimes I'm amazed at how the little details in our lives become so meaningful. Like this time, when the wind makes my hair twitch."

Roberto rubbed Ella's hair gently. Spreading a sense that cannot be expressed in words.

"Every gust of wind is a message of love that nature sends to us" Roberto said, staring at the sunset.

"Like a dim sun but still warm, that's how our love—always exists, always gives warmth."

Ella's heart and feelings soared, smiling with teary eyes at the words of her lover.

The girl grabbed Roberto's hand, grasped it tightly. The smile on his face remained, not fading from earlier.

"I never thought that I could feel this much love before I met you, Roberto."

"And I'm grateful every day because we have each other. We're going on every adventure together, like we're enjoying this sunset."

Roberto clasped Ella's hand, while Ella nodded in agreement to her lover's statement.

"You, I know that life will always be full of color and beauty."

The sun was increasingly ducking down on the horizon, creating a beautiful silhouette of the couple sitting side by side on a huge rock. Their affection and love radiated clearly in the twilight light that embraced them.

One night, under the glittering full moonlight, Ella and Roberto sit on the rooftops of the campus's high-rise building, enjoying the glowing cityscape beneath them.

The cool night breeze rustled gently, creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere between them.

"Ella, did you ever imagine that we would be sitting on the roof of a building like this?"

Robert asked as he turned his head towards him, a wide smile engraved on his face that looked like a prince in the dim moonlight.

Ella laughed softly, enjoying the familiar moment among those close to this past few months.

"Truthfully, never. But this is one beautiful and unexpected moment."

"Yes, that sounds kind of romantic, right?" tanyanya.

Ella looked at Roberto with eyes full of excitement.

"Yes, very romantic. But honestly, I prefer it when we sit in the playground and argue over who can climb the tallest tree."

"Oh, hahaha .. That is indeed something we should repeat one day."

Roberto laughed out loud, recalling the funny moments they shared. They were still sitting together in a comfortable silence, staring at the shining stars in the night sky.

But then, their laughter again broke out as Reo pointed towards one brighter star.

"Haha ... You see that? It was like the glittering stars we saw in the sky back then."

Ella followed Roberto's index finger with her gaze and then smiled warmly.

"Yes, like the stars we say will follow us wherever we are."

Roberto grabs Ella's hand gently, feeling a sense of flowingness growing familiar between them.

"Who knows, maybe it's our star."

The two of them laughed softly, feeling like they were in a universe full of wonders.

As the night breeze cools down, Roberto crumbs his jacket sleeves around Ella to give her warmth. Ella responded by closing herself up closer, feeling comfort in Roberto's warm embrace.

Their conversation went on, flowing with a friendly and warm groove in gentle touches that forgot what should not be done.

Those bright and beautiful days were replaced by heavy rain that battered the ground. Ella and Roberto sit in a small cafe with foggy windows due to the hot steam of tea on their table.

Roberto's face looked tense, like there was something he wanted to say so that there would be no more secrets between them.

"Ella" called Roberto starting hesitantly, "I have to talk about my work."

Ella looked at Roberto with a confused look. "Your job? What's going on?" tanyanya.

Roberto bit his lip for a moment before continuing. "Actually, my job isn't as good as I thought. I'm involved in things that are risky, and sometimes involve things that are illegal."

Ella felt her heart beat faster, anxiety stalking her mind. Although he knew, if Roberto did have a job other than being a student.

"What do you mean, Roberto?" asked Ella curiously.

Roberto stared at the table with a heavy expression.

"I don't want you to get involved in this. I don't want you in danger."

Ella felt dizzy hearing all this. He felt like he was in great confusion, not knowing how to respond.

"Are you talking seriously, Roberto?" ask again.

Roberto nodded with regret. "Yes, I don't want you involved in this dark world. I'm trying to protect you."

Ella felt something tearing inside her. He feels thrown into a complicated and dangerous situation, without knowing how to protect himself. He felt he was given an impossible choice and faced with a difficult decision.

After this heavy conversation, Ella felt left in the dark. He felt himself in danger, and with a heavy heart, he made the decision to leave.

In a pain-filled decision, he leaves Roberto without telling anything, hoping to protect himself and find safety in a distant place.

In silence, he left all their happy memories behind, and began his own journey towards an uncertain future.

After leaving Roberto and the town they once shared, Ella lives her own life with her pregnancy. Every day, he felt an increasingly heavy burden, not only physically, but emotionally as well. He learned how to face difficult challenges and decisions by himself.
