Eps. 38: Teaching New Things
Since His Majesty King Long Ji Man trusted him, then Li Anlan would not hesitate anymore. Today, even if his identity is only as a servant, but he will show something new that has never been found in the world of education today. Li Anlan had a lot of knowledge and had many teachers. As an alternative, Li Anlan then told a children's fairy tale that he had read in a book by the Grimms’ Brothers, Grimms’ Fairy Tales entitled The Willow-wren and The Bear, which is a fairy tale, or the Devil and the Bear. Li Anlan packaged the fairy tale into a simple story whose background and names of the characters were adapted to the circumstances in ancient times, to make it a little more natural and reasonable.
The story tells of a bear who suffered bad luck because it had offended and insulted six young birds. The bear was initially touched by the melodious sound of the birds singing. The Bear's friend the Wolf warned him that they should bow down and bow down because the parents of the chicks were the King and Queen. However, after seeing the place where he lived, the Bear even insulted the chicks, until the poor chicks cried.
When their parents came, the young birds did not want to eat, and immediately told about the humiliation they got from the Bear. The King and Queen fly into the bear's den, and ask why the Bear insulted her cubs. Afterwards, the King and Queen of the Dark declared war on the bear and his companions.
Long story short, because of the ingenuity of the Mosquito who became a spy, the enemy of the Bear and his friends can be defeated. The bear should sincerely apologize to the children of the gels.
The storytelling style and character traits played by Li Anlan are very good to make children excited. They look very enthusiastic and enjoy the strange story they first heard. The story is simple, but the content and meaning are very valuable.
After Li Anlan told the story, he then told the groups to write down what they remembered after listening to the story he told. Li Anlan gave the groups thirty minutes to discuss with their respective members. After that, Li Anlan then asked each group to convey the results of their discussion, and exchanged ideas with the other group.
Long Ji Mu appeared the most outstanding among the others. The little boy came forward alone, then delivered the results of his discussion with his group smoothly without faltering. His delivery was quite good, surpassing the ability of a child his age. Indeed, blood is thicker than water. If the top is good, then the bottom will be good too.
“What is the most important value of this story?” li Anlan asked the students.
“We must not speak carelessly!” answer a child from the first group.
“We must respect older people!” a child from the third group.
“Cannot be arrogant!” said a child from the second group.
“A leader, no matter how big or small, is a leader. The bird may be small, but it is intelligent and has power. The stupid bear who considers himself too high and belittles to insult the children of birds, even though they are big, but do not have any strength,” said Long Ji Mu at length.
Li Anlan agreed with the little boy's opinion. These children were able to record and analyze something based on what they had heard. If such abilities were honed continuously, then the future generations of the nation in Dongling kingdom would be assured.
