وَلَا تَجْعَلْ مُصِيبَتَنَا فِي دِينِنَا

“Yes Allah, do not make us miserable in our religion”

The disaster on religion is all things that reduce our religion, such as lazy worship, lazy recitation, lazy night prayer, lazy almsgiving etc.

Often we really feel affected by disaster if the disaster is related to our world, such as reduced wealth, soul, or overwritten by disease. But when we become lazy in worship we even consider it common. Though it is a calamity.Even a religious calamity is worse than the world's calamity ma'am...

The way we deal with the disaster is explained by the scholars he mentioned, that someone in the face of the disaster there are four conditions.

The first condition is wrath (anger) that someone shows anger either on the mouth, heart or limbs. A person who is angry with Allah in his heart that he feels hate (murk) to Allah and he feels that Allah has wronged him by being inflicted with a calamity.We take refuge in Allah from this kind of deed.

As for someone feels his verbal wrath like he is berating time (time) so that it hurts God.

In shohih Muslim, brought Chapter with the title ’banangan denounce time (ad-dahr)’. Among them are the hadiths of Abu Hurairah, Rasulullah shallallahu ’alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

...قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُؤْذِينِى ابْنُ آدَمَ يَسُبُّ الدَّهْرَ وَأَنَا الدَّهْرُ أُقَلِّبُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ...

”Allah ’Azza wa Jalla says,’I was hurt by the son of Adam. He denounces time, whereas I am the (regulator) of time, I am the one who flips night and day.” (CHR. Muslims no. 6000)

While the wrath with his limbs is like someone slapping his cheeks, banging his head to tear his clothes or something like that, ma'am, nauzulibah ya ma'am.

Such wrathful people will not be rewarded by the misfortune that befalls them, not saved from misfortune will even get sin. This kind of person becomes stricken with two calamities (losses) in the world, namely with his wrath and calamities that hurt him alone. In the hadith mentioned about the person who committed impatient behavior by self-destructing, namely the hadith of ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud radhiyallahu ‘anhu, he said, Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda, he said,

...لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَطَمَ الْخُدُودَ وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ وَدَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّة...

“Not including our group anyone who slaps the cheek (face), rips the pocket, and does the practice of Jahiliyah.” (CHR. Bukhari no. 1294 and Muslim no. 103).

Such acts include niyahah and the threat is severe. Niyahah included prohibition of even major sins because it was threatened with punishment (torture) in the afterlife later. As narrated from Abu Malik Al Asy’ari radhiyallahu ’anhu that Rasulullah shallallahu ’alaihi wa sallam bersabda,

...« أَرْبَعٌ فِى أُمَّتِى مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ لاَ يَتْرُكُونَهُنَّ الْفَخْرُ فِى الأَحْسَابِ وَالطَّعْنُ فِى الأَنْسَابِ وَالاِسْتِسْقَاءُ بِالنُّجُومِ وَالنِّيَاحَةُ ». وَقَالَ النَّائِحَةُ إِذَا لَمْ تَتُبْ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهَا تُقَامُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَعَلَيْهَا سِرْبَالٌ مِنْ قَطِرَانٍ وَدِرْعٌ مِنْ جَرَبٍ...

“Four things that are found in my people which include the actions of the jahiliyah that are difficult to leave behind: (1) to boast about the greatness of ancestors, (2) to denounce offspring, (3) to attribute the rain to certain stars, and to the, and (4) lament mayit (niyahah)”. Then he said, “The one who does niyahah if he dies before he repents, then he will be resurrected on the day of doomsday and he is wearing clothes covered with copper liquid, he said, as well as a coat mixed with itchy” disease (HR. Muslims no. 934).

Nauzubilah yes ma'am, may we be kept away from all liver diseases like this, ma'am, and the second condition is to be patient with restraint against the calamity faced

The third condition is the pleasure of the disaster that befalls us ma'am

The fourth condition is to thank Allah for the disaster. This situation is exemplified by the Prophet Shallallahu alaihi wa sallam.

From Aisyah radhiyallahu ‘anhuma, Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam when looking at (getting) something she likes, she shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam uttered, ' she said,

...الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِى بِنِعْمَتِهِ تَتِمُّ الصَّالِحَاتُ...

‘[Alhamdulillahilladzi bi nimatihi tatimmush sholihat] Praise belongs only to Allah who with all the delights of all goodness becomes perfect.’ And when he got something he didn't like, he shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam uttered,

...الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ...

‘[Alhamdulillah ala kulli p.] Praise belongs only to God for every circumstance’.” (CHR. Ibn Majah. Shaykh Al Albani says this hadith is hasan)
