CHAPTER 25 - Ark Offer
"Huh???" Nara was shocked to hear what she had just heard.
Her boss asked her to be a lover? There must be something wrong with his hearing right now.
Arka cleared for a moment. It seemed like he had spoken wrongly, making his secretary seem very surprised.
"I mean this way... You're just pretending to be my lover" Arka paused her speech, looking at Nara who was looking at her with a strange expression.
"Nara..." Arka continued to say what was planned.
"Ja-so I mean Mr Arka, I pretended to be a lover in front of your mother?" Tanya Nara again confirmed what Arka had said.
Arka nodded. "really. Just one day. That way my mother will not intend to match me again." Arka was sure, her Mommy would stop setting her up.
"Ma-sorry Sir. I can't. You can find another woman." Nara refused quickly.
Arka snorted for a moment, annoyed to see Nara. The woman unceremoniously rejected herself.
"I'll pay you." Arka offers to let Nara help her.
"Sorry Sir. I'm not interested." Nara refused.
"You just have to pretend to be my girlfriend for one day. I'll pay you a month's worth of salary." Arka makes a tempting offer.
'One month of salary? Continue to add payday. Whoa!!! will I get a double salary this month?!' Nara decided to calculate the salary she would get in this month.
"Sorry, sir. I can't. You can look for"
"Why did you refuse?" Sela Arka doesn't believe Nara turned down her offer.
"What is the month paycheck that is less? You want 2 or 3 times your salary here?" Ask Arka back. Nara is trying to negotiate with him.

"If you refuse. This month you won't receive your salary." Threaten Arka pissed. He had to scare Nara.
Hearing Arka's words, Nara's footsteps stopped. He turned his body.
"I'm going to pay your salary this month. Maybe you'll take it next month or next month again, or maybe next year." Threaten Arka with a cynical smile.

On a clear morning, Nara was busy tidying up her room. Because it's a holiday. He washes curtains, sheets and blankets.

The cardboard contained photographs and items given by Adam, while they were still dating.
'Why do I keep it anyway?!'
Nara exhaled and brought the cardboard to the backyard.
The woman walked into the kitchen. "Bun, have francis?" Ask Nara.
"For what?" Mother asked worriedly looking at Nara's expression trying to hold back tears.
"You're burning garbage, Bun." Nara said with a trembling voice.
Before long Nara revives the francis and begins to burn one by one the contents in a cardboard box.
Nara rubbed her falling tears, tears that were already unable to hold her. He remembered all the promises Adam had ever made.
"I will always love you. Whatever your strengths and weaknesses. We will always be together until death do us part. I'll just love you forever, Nara."
Yeah, that's what Adam said when he proposed to him. Saying something as sweet as honey, to make Nara fly like the seventh sky.
Nara trusted Adam and his words. Until he put the man the only one in his heart. The only man she'll ever love to death.
But... After 5 years of marriage, why can't Adam hold his word?

For Nara, Adam was like a fraud.
'Why should I keep remembering it anyway? Nara, let's move on. He was happy with his new family. I also have to live happily. But... Is there a man who would accept my shortcomings?' Nara was aware of her lack.

"Where are you going?" Tanya Gio probed.
"Same street friend." Answer Nara immediately.
"Male or female?" Tanya Gio returned with a suspicious face.
"You've left. Be careful on the road. Don't go home at night." Mother told Nara to leave quickly.
"Sister, let me take you." Barat Gio will rise.
"Be careful, son." Dad held onto Gio while shaking his head.
"Dad, Mother... Why was Nara left alone? He's gonna want to walk with men." Gio was sure his brother would meet a man.
"Leave it." Mother also held Gio.
"No way, Bun. I need to know who that guy is!" Gio will follow the older brother.
"Glho." Hold Dad back to shake his head.
"But, Dad-"
"Just believe in Nara. I'm sure your brother can take care of himself."
