This novel tells the story of the journey of love between Rissya Kamalia or commonly called Sissy and Mario Hanggana or commonly called Rio.
Sissy is the youngest of 3 children.. His father was named Adhi Suryadi and his mother was named Yani Rahmawati. He has 1 elder brother named Arya Wardhana and 1 older sister named Rosita Maharani commonly called Ochy.
Sissy remained single until she was 35.
Parents' quarrels and her sister's divorce further scarred the trauma of marriage. How could Mas Genta, a very kind and affectionate man with Ochy Tea, his older brother, change his nature 180°. After 5 years of marriage and have 2 daughters, Rara and Reva, it was only discovered if Mas Genta had an affair. "what are all such men ? then what am I getting married for" Sissy's inner. Arya, her brother, also died in an accident on a business trip out of town. He leaves behind his wife, tea Santi and daughter, Risa or commonly called Icha who is only 3 years old.
His father himself is a pensioner of a large private company, he often behaves indifferently and harshly to his mother. This is what causes the quarrel between them. Especially after his mother was in a coma because of his diabetes and could no longer take care and serve his father until finally the father decided to marry again in his hometown leaving Mother with him in this city.
"I don't want to get married, all I can do alone, why get married if later even suffer, all men are the same" always said Sissy if asked about marriage.
Fortunately, all three of his best friends have always supported whatever Sissy did. Their friendship is quite solid and lasts for 18 years since the 2nd grade of High School. In fact, it has been 3 years since they opened a business with a Cake Shop.
Mario Hanggana is a 35-year-old man who is also unmarried. After his father died 15 years ago, as the eldest of 7 children he took over the responsibility of making a living to finance the lives of his Mother and Sisters. Rio is just a high school graduate because he has to help fund his sisters' school. Since graduating high school, he has worked as a factory worker to help his mother's father. Until now he has managed to become a manager in the company where he works now.one by one his sister is married until the remaining he and the youngest.
His first brother, Damar Wahyudi, was married and lived in Jember with his wife and 1 child. His second sister, Irfan Arisandy, lives in Bogor with his wife and 2 children. The third sister, Haris Purnomo, lives in the same town with his wife and 2 children. The fourth sister, Dania Puspita, lives in Yogya with her husband and 2 children, and the fifth sister, Ranti Rahayu, lives in the same city as her husband and son, who are also in the same city, and the youngest Widi works as an SPG in Mall Jombang Square and is not married.
"Rio, you have to start thinking about getting married, son, just your age" Mother told Rio.
"Don't kid. You have to get married first." said his mother "Your sister is still young and happy to work."
"Yes mas.. I still don't want to get married, I'm only 23 years old" Widi, the younger brother, chimed in.
"Good bun.. Calm down, Rio will find a good daughter-in-law for mother." said Rio while hugging his mother. In his heart he also felt confused to find a future wife where while his female friends were not much.
Until one event finally brought Sissy and Rio.
