Chapter 29. What's your job, Josh?

Inevitably, what was conveyed by Mira became a burden on Jana's mind. He becomes curious about Joshua's real work. Previously, Jana did not want to interfere or just ask Joshua.

Later that night, Joshua came home drunk. His attitude was a little harsh on Jana. Making Jana can not take her mind from what has been conveyed by Mira.

"I took off her shoes, Baby," Jana said as Joshua refused to be approached. He rested himself on the sofa with his eyes closed.

"No, no," said Joshua.

However, Jana insists on taking Joshua's shoes off.

"Jana, I'm not Indonesian, yes. If I say no, yes, no!" joshua's assertiveness makes Jana stop his movement to escape Joshua's shoelaces.

"I can do it myself. I'm not handicapped!" resolutely while continuing the work of Jana take off her shoes.

It hurts to hear Joshua say that. In fact, she just wants to be a good wife, who serves her husband wholeheartedly.

"Just sleep there!" Joshua's orders.

Jana also resigned. He walked into the room with a heart.

Joshua, lying on the couch. His head feels like it's going round and round. He drank too much alcohol at the club a while ago.

Back to Jana who was lying on her bed. His eyes were not closed yet. His mind was muddled imagining a no-no about Joshua. What if what he was worried about became reality.

Jana squeezed her face. There was always something stuck in his mind. Since marriage, he has never felt sober. In fact, after falling in love with Joshua, he was always haunted by misgivings.

His love for Joshua was so stifling. From his jealousy with Joshua's ex-girlfriend Risa, Joshua's sometimes good attitude is sometimes bad for him.

Joshua often ignored him. Sometimes, Joshua seemed to not care about his existence.

And one more thing, since living in Manhattan, Joshua's attitude has been a little harsh on him. Although in Indonesia, Joshua was not romantic like a newly married couple.

Wh-wh-whatever. Jana was dizzy thinking about all that. He decided to force himself to sleep. Tomorrow the activity is solid. There is a GED test that he must undergo, then the afternoon he must go to the Indonesian consulate to help prepare for the Indonesian festival which will be held soon.

As Jana was about to fall asleep, she was startled by someone hugging her from behind. Know who was tightening the body to him, his smile was riveted.

Joshua's sturdy hands were coiled around his waist. And an alcohol-scented breath blew his nape.

"I'm sorry, yes, Jana .. I was rude to you earlier," Joshua said as he peeked at his back neck.

"No papa. You're drunk again" said Jana, still closing her eyes enjoying her husband's gentle kiss.

"Yes. Excuse me. I drank too much" Joshua said, but it sounded more like *******. His hand crept through the curves of Jana's body. "You're not so skinny anymore, Jana."

"Oh yeah? Well, tomorrow I diet," said Jana a little panic. In winter like this, indeed he often felt hungry, so the portion of the meal was a little more than usual.

"Don't!" sergeant Joshua. "I'd rather you're sexy."

"But I'll be fat for a long time, baby."

"Hey ...." Joshua flipped over Jana's body, and now the girl was already in her shackles. "It's okay. If it's too thin, I don't like it either."

Jana grimacing. Both of his eyes stared fixedly at Joshua. Her husband's face looked so handsome, even though there were tired strokes there. Delayed Joshua's cheeks gently. The man closed his eyes.

"City ...."

Joshua opened his eyes. Look at Jana below him. "Yes?"

"You love me, don't you?" ask Jana.

"What?" Joshua who gasped at Jana's question, pretended not to hear it.

"No papa." Jana shakes. "Lupain is all." He swallowed his saliva in disappointment.

Joshua is not deaf. He must have heard the question. Joshua probably didn't want to answer.

"I'm sleepy. I have to wake up tomorrow morning. There's a GED test." Jana pushes Joshua's chest until the man is lying next to her. Then, he pulled the blanket and turned his back to Joshua.

"Ged test? Tomorrow?" ask Joshua.

"Hmm." Jana replied with a murmur.

Joshua stroked Jana's back gently. "May it work" he said.

"Thank you" said Jana Lirih. Then, he heard Joshua change his lying position. Her husband also looked back at her.

Jana's eyes condense. His heart is so empty. Joshua did not love him. Perhaps, in her heart there was still Risa who reigned.

A busy morning. Jana prepares breakfast ala perfungnya, spend the ingredients in the refrigerator.

Joshua did not appear out of the room until Jana finished preparing breakfast. Sow sugar pancakes and caramel sauce. Made by Jana with potency. However, from the smell, it was already able to wake Joshua up.

Evidently, the man came out of the room while sniffing his nose into the air, looking for the source of the pleasant aroma he was inhaling.

"I smell pancakes. You make pancakes?" ask Joshua to make sure.

Jana chuckles. "Yes. But I don't know if it's good or bad."

"It must be good." Joshua pulled the chair from under the dining table and put his butt on it. "It's very neat, want to leave quickly?" He scans Jana's body wrapped in jeans and a thick sweater.

"Yes," replied Jana briefly while thrusting a plate that he had filled with several pancake sheets that he had laced with caramel sauce.

"Thank you" said Joshua, commenting on his smile. Both of them enjoyed breakfast in silence.

"What do you want to do if you pass the GED test?" ask Joshua to start a conversation.

"Wants to be an administrative staff in an office. I want to try applying at the consulate general office of the Republic of Indonesia."

"Owh, great. The salary must be good, too."

"I think it's important that I pass the GED first" Kekeh Jana. He fed himself with a piece of pancake.

"Definitely graduated," said Joshua optimistically.

Jana agreed in heart. He glanced at Joshua's cheerful-looking face that morning. Think Jana, maybe it's time to ask about Joshua's work.

"Josh ...."

"Yes?"

"What do you really do?" ask Jana carefully. He was afraid that Joshua's mood would suddenly deteriorate because of his question.

"Business with friends" Joshua replied.

"Owh, may you know what business?" Jana ventured to ask further.

Exactly what Jana was expecting. Joshua's face turned sour. "You don't need to know. The important thing is you can eat every day."

Joshua's words hit Jana's chest. Moreover, Joshua suddenly got up from his seat and passed from before Jana without spending his breakfast.

Jana sighed deeply as she watched Joshua disappear behind the bedroom door. He shouldn't have asked Joshua that, he regretted.
