The roar of the motor in front of the house, making Bu Galuh knit eyebrows in wonder. He who was beside the house was drying clothes, quickly moved forward to see who was coming. And he was so surprised to find that the boy had come home.
"Lho, Jana, just left when you're home again?" ma'am Galuh asked, his gaze turned to a man next to Jana and his forehead wrinkled in surprise. "Who is this too?"
Jana cengengesan, approached the mother and immediately embraced her arm spoiled. "I deliberately took an impromptu leave, ma'am. I want to know someone's mother" she said shyly, then glanced back with a charming smile.
"He who?" ma'am Galuh whispered softly, pinching Jana's hand.
Jana put her head close to her head. Still with a whimper he replied in a whispering tone, "Mas bule my future husband, Mom."
"What?!" Ms. Galuh gave a startled cry, her eyes glaring in disbelief. Once again, he noticed the man who was still standing still near Jana's motorbike. Then as wide as a big smile scrawled from the thin seeds.
Hurry up, Miss Galuh let go of Jana's hand. Approaching the man and embracing his arm quickly. While bringing her in, Galuh asked, How's your name, Mister?"
It was so overwhelming, that Jana laughed behind her back. He shook his head because of his mother's attitude. Sok-sokan use English, jana's son in heart.
Not wanting her mother to embarrass her even more, Jana immediately interjected, "Mom, Joshua can speak Indonesian. Don't bother talking straws."
Bu Galuh's eyes glared, looking at the man Jana said to be her candidate for the spell smiling, making her grimace. "Ih, you are, why don't you talk to Mama."
Jana chokes. Her mother might call herself Mama. But this time, she did not complain. Let it. Maybe his mother was so happy to get a prospective mother-in-law.
The three of them sat in the living room. Miss Galuh still memepet Joshua. As if not letting his future daughter-in-law out of sight.
"Whose name are you, son? Where are you from? What are you doing in Indonesia? Are you really Jana's boyfriend? Then, when are you going to marry her?" Galuh asked in succession, with an urgent tone as if demanding an answer.
This made Jana close her eyes at a glance, feeling sorry for the mother's excessive enthusiasm. "Mom, one-on-one, dong, if you ask. Joshua confused it, you know," Jana recalled calmly.
Galuh just grimaced, then patted Joshua's hand gently. "Oh, so your name is Joshua, to."
Joshua only replied with a small nod, forcing a smile to look friendly. It was visible once on his face if he was being so depressed at the moment. Cold sweat soaked his white face.
"Well, how are you, anyway? And even sit down. Sana make a drink for Joshua," Galuh's orders sniffed at the child.
Jana pursed her irritated lips, she was lazy, but inevitably kept moving. Then forced a smile on Joshua, as he asked, "What do you want to drink?"
"Ice water would be nice" Joshua replied. Seeing Jana frowning deeply, she immediately croaked, "Es, I want ice water."
Jana nodded, then turned inside the house. But only for a moment, before he returned to the living room with a bent face.
"Mom forgot to get ice in the fridge, huh? No ice cubes at all, ma'am," he said grievously. "Mother please buy it, yes, at the shop next door."
"Ish, you are! Even the old man's mess!" Despite the murmur, Bu Galuh still departs. He looked at Joshua with a smile full of adoration, before going out of the house.
"Eh, Mum Galuh, what's this, what's the smile on your own?" yu Prapti Fishing Line.
The daydream was spoiled, Bu Galuh saw Yu Prapti was also in the stall. If he would normally answer annoyedly in a fiery tone, this time Bu Galuh showed a charming smile.
"Yes, I'm so happy that Jana brought her boyfriend home" replied Ms. Galih grimacing.
"Ah, masa, anyway?" ketus Yu Prapti does not believe.
"If you don't believe me, please play at home. But don't be surprised, yes, Jana's boyfriend is much more handsome than Asih's future husband," replied Bu Galuh.
Yu Prapti chuckled softly, his voice like a mocking laughter. Then he was busy picking up crackers in front of him, but could still say, "What are you doing, Mom? What matters is mah mapan. Asih's husband-to-be is a tobacco salesman."
"Don't be arrogant. Jana's boyfriend is also well established, really. I don't know, yeah, Jana's boyfriend is bule. He came all the way from America to marry Jana," said Bu Galuh proudly.
This made Yu Prapti cough, his eyes immediately widened staring at the next-door neighbor. "Mom, if ngayal please do not height. If you get sick."
"Oh, still can't believe it. Come on, I can prove that I'm right. Mumpung Jana's boyfriend is home now!" challenge Bu Galuh.
Just now Yu Prapti wanted to answer, The Lord ma'am approached the two of them. The owner of the stall looked annoyed at hearing the insignificant quarrel in front of him.
"Mom-mom, what are you really buying?" ask the Lord Mother with a ketus.
"Oh my God, until you forget, Mom. Because Yu Prapti, anyway, so mostly talk. I want to buy ice cubes," said Galuh, smiling at the God Ma'am.
"I'm a cracker, Mom!" While Yu Prapti looked annoyed, with a sullen face glancing at his neighbor.
After paying for everything, they now went home and walked side by side. One middle-aged woman with a happy face. Another middle-aged woman with an annoyed face was so curious.
Not wanting to make the atmosphere a bit awkward, Yu Prapti cleared her throat. After attracting the attention of Miss Galuh, she said, "Mother Galuh, I am not a snob, yes, because my future son-in-law is a tobacco magnate. But it feels a little strange suddenly Jana has a boyfriend a bule–"
"That's still not believing, Yu?" mama Galuh asked, even when Yu Prapti had not finished his sentence.
This of course made Yu Prapti sigh long. When they reached the front of Galuh's house, they stopped their steps at the gate. "That's not what I mean, Mom. But be careful, who knows it Jana from nyomot bule again tour," he mocked.
However, this turned out to make Bu Galuh misunderstand. "It must be envious, huh? That's why we talk like that!" pissed off. "My man-to-be is more handsome, and also more established than your future daughter-in-law. That's why you're spiteful."
"Why would I be spiteful if everything I said was a lie?" sindir Yu Prapti turned back, chuckling full of ridicule.
However, the laughter slowly vanished, as his eyes saw a man coming out of the house with Jana. Yu Prapti's eyes bulged wide, as if it was almost out of place. The woman gawked, then like a fool turned to Bu Galuh. Yu Prapti could only gulp his saliva rough, when he realized that the neighbor's words were not mere babbling.
