Jana meets Jovan at a small cafe in the vicinity of Hudson River Park. The young man looked so elated when Jana had just appeared before him.
"Sorry, yes, wait. It was settled the order first thing," said Jana while pulling a chair from under the table.
"No papa, I haven't been long, either." Jovan raised one hand to call the cafe waiter. "You want what pesen?" ask her to Jana.
"You want to stop, huh." Jana is still confused by all the menus written in the menu book and put them on Jovan.
Jovan chuckles. "That's a big move, anyway?" goda.
"The menu name is strange. Don't understand me," jana was embarrassed.
Jovan then ordered two plates of lasagna, two plates of salad and two types of warm drinks on the waiter's cafe. "Laper me," he chuckled after the waiter passed.
Jana covered her smile. His stomach itself was rumbling because it was in the place where Mira only ate a few pieces of leftover cakes that he made. "Actually it can be via the phone message, you know. No need to meet," he said.
"No papa. Enjoy the afternoon air here."
Jana swept her gaze outside the cafe. Beautiful, with a stretch of the Hudson river and opposite it there are Manhattan skyscrapers whose peaks touch the clouds. Joshua never took her to this place. Supposedly, Joshua took him through every corner of Manhattan.
"What did you meet yesterday at the festival was your aunt, Mas Jo?" ask Jana.
"Yes. He asked to order food from you for the event. Biasalah, Indonesian mothers in the gathering. My aunt males cook." Jovan took a cell phone out of his shirt pocket. "I sent you a note of his order, yes. A lot," he cheered.
Jana checks her phone to see the order records sent by Jovan. His eyes instantly sparkled. "A lot of it, huh?" said it.
"Repot, no, what?"
Jana shook her head hard. "No hassle. I'm really cool, Mas. Thank you very much, you've pesen to us."
"Ntar I recommend to Indonesians here, deh. Lots, really, the society."
Jana nodded. "Thank you, Mom."
"Looky." Jovan sipped a warm tea that a while ago served by the cafe waiter. "How long have you been here, Jan?"
"Udah wants five more months, Mas." Jana chews on the lasagna that feels so good on her tongue.
"alone?"
"The husband."
"Oh, are you married?" Jovan seemed a little surprised to hear Jana's answer. A moment later, the look on his face showed disappointment. However, as an adult, he did not show his disappointment by being strict with Jana. He tried to be as normal as possible to the girl.
"Yes, the wedding's been almost a year."
"What kind of work?"
"Mmmm ...." Jana confusion must answer what. Because he does not know the details of Joshua's work. "Business is just as good."
"What business, Jan?" ask Jovan.
"Emm, don't know me, Mom," Jana answered honestly.
"The husband's own work does not know, anyway?" ask Jovan full of questions. It is not natural for a wife to not know her husband's work. There must be a reason behind all that. What is clear is that, for some reason, Jovan smells that something is wrong in Jana's household.
"Udah deal, Mas. If each other's business affairs I'm with my husband do not interfere with each other." Jana tried to give the diplomatic answer as much as she could.
"Oh, huh?" Jovan. "If you go out with other guys rich gini, can you, right?"
Jovan's question made Jana's chest ache. He recalled Joshua's words about the open relationship that Joshua wanted to live with. If Jana has to be in a relationship with another man, it means she must be ready to see Joshua with another woman. And it seems he is not capable.
"Maybe," replied Jana while commenting on a wry smile.
"Surely, yes, won't make you fight with your husband?"
"Yes, that's it, if so." Jovan reviewed his smile. "Abisin ate it, Jan. From earlier it was just stirred doang."
Jana chuckles. "Take it, really, here," he said.
Jovan looked at Jana who was now bowing her head, hiding the gloom on her face. It made Jovan more curious, what kind of household circumstances the girl who made him interested, from the first time he saw her on the general council.
A simple girl with a kebaya who was so graceful wrapped her slender body. A girl so sweet with her alluring smile.

Jana undoes her intention to enter her apartment. He continued to move to Mama Doodoo's apartment. Coincidentally he brought a few pieces of cake leftover from the order last afternoon.
He tapped on the door with the number 567. Mama Doodoo opened the door and smiled happily to see Jana standing before her.
"Ah, Jana ... Come on, come in," the middle-aged woman pinta grabbed Jana's arm and pulled her into the apartment.
"I brought my cake, Ma," said Jana as she held up the paper bag in her hand.
"Owh, you are indeed a good child," said Mama Doodoo happily. "What cake is this?"
"His name is cucur, Ma. Traditional Indonesian cake."
Mama Doodoo chews on that dark brown food voraciously. "Enak, yes," he said. "Why is it brown like this?"
"I'm wearing brown sugar, Ma."
Mama Doodoo nodded. "Have you done well, Jana?"
"Yes, Mama, lots of orders. Almost every day. The average Indonesian who lives in Manhattan," replied Jana cheerfully.
"It's so good to hear it, Jana." The woman patted Jana softly on the shoulder. Then he noticed Jana's sad-looking face. "You why? Any issues?"
"Nothing, Ma," answered Jana lying. He is still awkward if he has to tell personal things to the woman. Because the intensity of his meeting with Mama Doodoo is still rare.
"Surely something's bothering you, Jana. Your face can't lie."
Jana smiled thinly. "A little bit" he said softly.
"You want to tell me?" ask the black woman.
Jana took a deep breath. "About Joshua."
"Why your husband?"
Jana lowered her head. "I'm .. it's not good to tell this."
"It's okay if you don't want to tell me about your problems, Jana."
"Mrs ...." Jana swallowed her saliva heavily. "Is an open relationship between husband and wife natural here?" ask with a heavy heart.
"Open relationships?" asked Mama Doodoo while frowning. "You mean, you and your husband had an agreement to get into a relationship with someone else, right?"
Jana nodded weakly. Every time he talked about it or remembered it, his heart ached.
"Not many couples do that, but, here it is normal."
"Oh, I see," said Jana bitterly.
"Usually, such couples are couples who have very very open-mindedness. Both of them. It can't be just one of them" explained Mama Doodoo. "Did Joshua offer you that?"
Jana nodded weakly while holding the clear circle that was about to squeeze out of her eye patch.
