Risa cried while trying to prevent Joshua who was packing his things. Put his clothes and personal belongings into a large suitcase.
"Please, Baby .. don't stay with me" she said in between tears. "Give me a chance to fix everything. We can start over. I will be a good and obedient wife. I'm not gonna sue for anything."
Joshua removed Risa's hand from her arm, while pulling the corner of her lips. "Sometimes in life, we're not given a second chance." Like Jana who didn't give him a second chance.
"Josh, please, please ...." Risa's cry was so hysterical as Joshua actually left their apartment. He left her alone in this foreign land. With the words of divorce coming out of his mouth.
On the other hand, Jana was thinking deeply about everything that had happened in her life. Many things happen, many drain tears, and not a little draining energy.
Jana gets to the point, letting go of all the things that don't make her happy. It's okay if he is self-destined. There are many things that can be the focus in life. If one day someone comes and makes her the only woman she loves and adores, let it be.
Jovan has retreated, and Joshua has disappeared. Now only lives with everything he has built back from zero. But let it be. Jana was always convincing to herself, so much the better.
"Love yourself, Jana. Never have someone else's problems with themselves bother you. You're gonna be fine. You're a strong woman." So Mama Doodoo always orders.
And it's true. Since Jana gave it all up and focused on making herself happy, things have come easy. His heart became calmer. And everything he does, smoothly without hindrance.

In the space of five years, the business that Jana and Mira lived grew rapidly, they were even able to buy a place next to the store and expand the restaurant. They even have several outlets spread across four counties in New York.
Now the name Jana is quite well-known among Indonesians in New York. Although many invited him to join the Indonesian association, Jana refused. It's not that he doesn't want to blend in, it's just that he prefers to do more productive things. After all Jana already knew, what activities in the associations were.
Several times in the last two years, Jana returned to Indonesia to visit her parents. He also renovated their home.
Whether he will stay in Manhattan forever, or later return home and spend the rest of his life there, Jana has not decided anything. He is enjoying everything he is doing right now. Even love problems escape his life. Jana has never been close to any man in five years.
"It turns out, following your way of life, I'm calmer." Jana said to Mira, as the two were hanging out in a cafe near the Hudson Riverpark, enjoying the cold Manhattan afternoon air.
Mira chuckles at Jana's words. "Yes, but .. I won't always be rich, Jan. If I meet a good and sincere man, I won't close myself, either."
"Yes, I understand. But a good man doesn't have to be found, does he? He must have come alone."
"Yes, Jan."
Jana sighed deeply, then threw her gaze out the cafe window. The sight of skyscrapers across the river spoiled his eyes.
"I remember the first time I came to Manhattan. Geez, really, really," jana kekeh. He recalled his hard times in this place were not for complaining, however, he wanted to be grateful for what he was getting right now.
"Without you, there won't be you now, right?" mira Sahut.
Jana nodded while commenting on the smile. That beautiful afternoon she spent chatting about life with Mira.

Jana got out of a taxi in front of her home in the Greenwich area, which she had been in for two years. However, he chipped up the stairs to the door, when a fairly luxurious car stopped right next to him.
The woman frowned while waiting for who the driver of the car would be. And Jana couldn't hide her surprise, as a blond figure wrapped in an elegant long coat, got out of the car and walked up to her.
"Hello, Jana." The owner of the pair of blue eyes greeted.
"Josh?" said Jana. This man before her was really Joshua, her ex-husband who had not met or communicated for five years. But his appearance has changed a lot. Neat, with hair combed back. The coat, denim pants and shoes she was wearing also looked classy. Then, the car he drove, of course it was a car with a high price.
"Where do you know I live here?"
Joshua commented a thin smile. "I'm finding out."
"Oh, okay."
"Wanna walk with me?" joshua pointed to the sidewalk.
Jana nodded. He thought, there's no harm in chatting for a while with Joshua. There was no more hostility between them. Think of it as chatting with an old friend.
"I arrived in Manhattan yesterday."
"Oh, where do you live?"
"I moved to San Francisco five years ago."
Jana nodded. "Is there an event here?"
"Yeah, just a business event."
Jana thunts. "It seems you've changed a lot. I'm sure your financial situation is now very stable. Bener, right?"
Joshua raised his shoulders. "Maybe," chortled. "Five years ago I divorced Risa" she explained.
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"It's okay. Its alright. That's exactly what's best. I was down for a few months, until my late parents' lawyer called."
The two walked slowly down a quiet sidewalk in the elite Greenwich area. "She said it was time for me to accept their legacy. I was very surprised at that time. I think they donated all their possessions to other orphanages and humanitarian foundations."
"Both of my parents were really teasing me," Joshua chuckled. "But when so much has happened in my life. Like, my illegal job, the trouble with Risa, and .. losing a woman who was so sincere in love with me, because I had the heart to hurt her, made me learn to be a responsible man."
Jana looked down to hide the smile on her lips. It seems she knows who the woman who sincerely loves Joshua is but is so heartbroken.
"Then, I moved to San Francisco, started a business there, and healing."
"Oh, yeah. Looks like your business is going well, huh?" said Jana.
"Yes, that kind of thing. I struggled to grow my business for five years, trying to be a good guy and keeping away from all the negativity. So that, when I meet the woman I hurt, I can convince her that I'm not the Joshua she knows."
Jana laughed crisply. He did not know what to answer Joshua's statement.
"Jana ...." Joshua stopped his steps and grabbed Jana's wrist.
"What's up, Josh?"
Joshua looked at Jana. "I want you to know that I still have my love for you. I hope this meeting of ours will reconnect with what broke up between us ...."
THE END
