Nabil Ilyasa's Story: A History of Life
Nabi Ilyasa was the son of the woman who saved Prophet Ilyas AS from the pursuit of the Ba’leb Bani Israel. When Ilyas first met the Prophet Ilyas, he was still young and very close to the Prophet Ilyas, even when Ilyas was sick and even almost died, Prophet Ilyasa helped to treat him with the permission of Allah SWT.
In addition, the infinite prosperity felt by Ilyas and his mother when accommodating the Prophet Ilyasa, when previously they were very poor and almost died because they did not have food and drink to survive. And because they met every day, there was an emotional closeness between the two, even the Prophet Ilyas finally raised Ilyasa to be his son.
According to the genealogy, the prophet Ilyasa was the son of Akhtub ibn ‘Ajuz and had blood ties from the Prophet Yusuf AS based on his lineage. He was only appointed a Prophet after the Prophet Ilyas AS his adoptive father died. Indeed, there is no blood bond between the Prophet Ilyas AS and Ilyasa AS, but in terms of how to preach both have the same character.
In the story of Prophet Ilyasa teaching Islam, he was sent to the Children of Israel who are also the people of the spread of Islam from the Prophet Ilyas, as well as the Arami or Amorians around Panyas.
Once on the right path after worshiping idols in the time of the Prophet Ilyas, after the death of the prophet, the Children of Israel again worshiped idols and no longer remember the teachings of God.
That is where the struggle of the Prophet Ilyasa began, namely by again inviting his people to the right path, even though it takes a great struggle. Starting from 885 BC to 795 BC, during that time many Israelites who returned converted and became loyal followers of the Prophet Ilyasa.
But at that time Allah SWT tested the Children of Israel with a prolonged drought, and that is where the Prophet Ilyasa continued to try to make his people stick to the teachings of Islam, until the struggle of the Prophet Ilyasa ended at the age of 90 and buried in Palestine.
