The Regard POV
"My name is Friya Furuhiora. I am the Vice Village Chief assigned to be on standby in Fairy Forest."
"My name is Shilphonia Autheurus. You can call me Shilph if you want."
"I am Regard Arthen, an adventurer from Farihiora City."
The three of us introduced names to get to know each other.
Furuhiora who heard our names, smiled and put on a friendly expression towards our arrival. Although our arrival could be said to be sudden for him, but we came here because we wanted to meet Stahark not for the others.
But due to the reasons made earlier, I somehow felt that Furuhiora thought that we adventurers were on a mission to hunt down and eradicate a bunch of Orcs in the Fairy Forest.
"By the way Furuhiora, why are so many elves injured in the residential area?"
"It was due to the plague spread by Stahark earlier in the Fairy Forest."
"Disease epidemic?"
Shilph and I were surprised by Furuhiora's statement that Stahark was able to spread a plague.
"Yes. Actually Stahark is spreading a deadly plague that can eliminate anyone who is exposed to the poison in a day's time, but since I have a duty and obligation to cure and neutralize the poison in their body, they can survive."
"In exchange, the struggling elves were required to lose some of their limbs when they were hit by an attack from Stahark."
In other words, Stahark is invincible huh.
Hearing this is very helpful. Especially if I come face to face with Stahark, there is a possibility that I will be dead if I do not know the ability he has. On the contrary, if I am able to figure it out then my survival is more convincing than ever.
Well, even though I myself have the Resurrection ability to rise from the dead.
"I beg you to help us finish off and eradicate the swarm of Orcs that are still around!"
"Yes, we'll do it."
"Wait, Regard! We can't-"
Staring at Shilph, he fell silent and did not continue his words anymore.
It would be very dangerous if our identities were discovered by him. Not only would it be considered a traitor, there was a chance that me and Shilph would be hunted down and killed by them.
Although I am not sure if they are capable of killing us or not, as much as possible I want to avoid the problems that happen to us in the future.
That's if we're okay and don't get caught up in their problems any deeper than this.
"Thank you. Regarding the whereabouts of the Orcs, I gathered some information from the reconnaissance elves in a certain region within the forest."
Opening a large map, I saw that the Fairy Forest was huge to know.
Inside the paper, there is a red circle sign that can be interpreted as a sign that has meaning in it. I'm sure that's what I can expect.
"Orcs are in the red circle so you can go straight to where they are. But, be careful of the environment around here!"
Showing a dark yellow circle, I didn't understand the meaning at all.
"Could there be a terrible creature in that place?"
"Yes, I want you not to set foot in that place because it's dangerous for you."
"....."
I don't know why I lost knowledge compared to Shilph.
Is it because I lack a network of information and life experiences in this world? Or had Shilph had a much longer life that made him understand the contents in this world?
I was a little curious about where his knowledge came from.
"Are you capable of that?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"If you need help, I can help you."
"We greatly appreciate the hospitality you have given us, but we avoid as much as possible some of the victims that can fall in this forest."
Oi, what do you mean tell him that? Do you think I'm going to mess up and destroy all the environment in this forest?
Never mind. There's no point in commenting so I just follow Shilph.
"Yes, Shilph is right. That's why we appreciate your decision."
Finished telling him that, Shilph and I left the settlement with a piece of paper in my hand that contained the location where the Orcs were.
I'm still curious about the dark yellow circle markings on this map.
Could it be that it signified where Stahark was? If indeed he was in that location, I think we will be there soon after carrying out the mission that we will do.
"Hei Regard, do you understand their condition?"
"Yes, I fully understand the situation."
Fairy Forest is in great danger.
If Stahark still settled in the Fairy Forest, there was a chance that the elves would perish in an instant just like what happened to my previous Elforia Village.
Not only Elf Village, the environment in Fairy Forest will be damaged and destroyed by the violence and rage possessed by Stahark in eliminating anyone in his path.
I fully understand that condition because I have never been before.
That day, the day that the silent and silent darkness was in, I went down to get some of the ores of the material. Accompanied by Uncle Veru, I along with some Royal Knight warriors traced into the depths of the cave to retrieve some material ores.
But something happened to us.
Before he could leave the cave, a horde of monsters lunged towards us. The monster itself was not a monster that could be underestimated but rather a powerful monster capable of obliterating and killing a portion of the royal knight army from the troops that Uncle Veru had brought before.
Me and Uncle Veru who survived, we both decided to be in the forest while waiting for reinforcements to arrive.
Unfortunately, that didn't happen.
Just before reinforcements arrived, we were both obliterated by the terrifying and sinister existence of Stahark. Torn apart by his claws, slashed by his greatsword, and obliterated by none of his strength, I and Uncle Veru were gone from the face of the earth.
That is why I understand the conditions in which despair and emptiness occur before death.
Well, just think of it as a lesson for my life to always be alert and careful of the distress that awaits me in the future.
"Shilph, we have no choice but to go to that forbidden place."
"Are you sure? If we go to that place then we'll be considered criminals by them."
"No problem. As long as they survived then it was more than enough."
"alright. If it wants you then I can't prevent you."
•••••
Upon their arrival at a location marked by a dark yellow circle, they were startled by the presence of someone they had not expected.
"You really have sided with them huh, Shilphonia."
"Whisper! It's all my fault they're not my fault."
"Whatever you say. As long as you carry that burden, you're declared a Fallen Angel by them, right?"
Hearing the conversation of the two, Regard could only keep quiet on their conversation.
According to Regard, the man sitting on the body of an elf bathed in blood was a person known to Shilphonia as long as she was still in the sky.
But, Regard did not dare to ask him because he knew that Shilphonia would not explain anything to him. Instead, he felt fed up at the conversation the person had made.
"You seem to have a different aura than humans huh, Humans."
Walking closer to Regard, Regard vigilantly took out the Black Sword in both hands and was directed crosswise in front of him to signify that he would not hesitate to kill him.
"Haha. You're really interesting ya."
"But you can't face me."
"really?"
"Yes, you're weak and fragile right now so you're just a piece of trash in my opinion."
"Just the shit."
Closing his eyes for a moment, Regard certainly understood that he was trash.
According to Regard, he was an originally weak human who was only looked down upon by any creature during his life. But, this time he was able to walk above the average human in general thanks to his ability as a Necromancer. So, he was reluctant to call himself trash.
"I admit I'm trash, but I'll admit if you manage to..."
Disappeared where he was, the wind blew strong from where Regard was before.
Maybe he will...
Suddenly shocked at the loss of Regard, Shilphonia immediately released a large amount of mana to make a shield around in order to avoid the impact of the impending destruction caused by Regard.
Right after the protector was made, something darted rapidly around the man.
The man did not budge nor move, instead, he only enjoyed his entertainment as long as the Regard showed it all to him.
But before he managed to enjoy everything, scratches and injuries had been seen on his body which made the man decide to end his attractive spectacle.
"Lightning Slash, Poisonous Area."
(Lightning Slash, a sword slash that was carried out quickly and agile like lightning that was seen at a glance, the slash could not be seen by the naked eye through which movements and directions it took)
(Poisonous Area, a poison that can form like fog can cause the surrounding area to be filled with a deadly poison fog that can make opponents and friends around him who breathe it will be gone)
Removing both of his abilities, Regard who had stopped moving made the man's body vomit blood from his mouth, as well as gushing out from his body to every place around him.
Not only were his injuries inflicted with the Lightning Slash, Regard also used the Poisonous Area to cover the entire area with a deadly poison that could kill anyone in an instant.
Shilphonia who was inside the fog managed to dodge the deadly poison thanks to her Goddess Shield which was capable of providing resistance to any attack.
(Goddess Shield, a special protector with a golden color that envelops the user's body that is able to withstand various attacks and has immunity to various types of toxins, paralyzed, paralyzed, and blindness for a moment as long as the ability is still active)
"Let's end this, Illusion."
(Illusion, an illusion that can be activated by which in large quantities is able to change an area that was previously a artificial area, he said, as well as being able to manipulate the area that it converts into defense and attacks that can be launched against his opponent.
Illusion can sometimes be used on oneself in doubling the number of people to many or few, which is able to make any opponent confused over his real and fake self)
Without waiting for an opportunity from his enemy, Regard cast a spell that he thought was the strongest.
Slowly the area around them changed abruptly, starting from; the purple mist that contained deadly poison turned into a calm and peaceful atmosphere, the dark ceiling turned bright, bright, and the environment that was if gloomy and dark slowly turned beautiful and beautiful.
"Wither away with this dream, Devil!"
Turning Black Sword into Black Katana, Regard had pulled the katana from its sheath but did not open it completely.
(Black Sword, the sword that emerged from the black fog that surrounded the hand of Regard, the, it was able to change the shape of the black fog into a Black Sword whose sharpness and strength in slashes was quite powerful without rusting in the slightest)
(Black Katana, the katana created from the black fog that forms the Black Sword, this katana is quite strong in slashing against its opponent who is stronger than the user)
After successfully pulling it a little, he immediately put the katana back into its sheath which caused the entire environment that was around to slowly turn into its original state.
The Unlimited Slash that caused a thorough slash around a large area, made the man a long-lasting difficulty in his defense which caused his body to be filled with severe injuries and enlarged scratches on his body.
Shilphonia is the same. At first he thought that the Unlimited Slash was just an ordinary slash, but after knowing that it was not an ordinary slash but a quick slash from Regard's katana, Shilphonia decided to switch places immediately using her ability which caused her to be outside the area of the slash.
(Unlimited Slash, a comprehensive wide-scale slash in every available place, a slash carried out at an invisible high speed was capable of moving quickly for 3 seconds, as well as moving rapidly, it produced countless barrages of slashes against one enemy as well as numerous enemies)
Despite having successfully escaped countless slashes, the clothes he wore were in tatters causing Shilphonia to have to cover *********** in the chest and********** his own.
The protector that Shilphonia had originally made slowly faded and vanished in an instant.
In the distance from where Regard was standing, the man was lying on the ground while enduring the pain that was running through his entire body.
"Do you understand that I am far above you?"
"You..."
On one of his arms, the man activated a teleport portal which caused him to switch places in an instant leaving Regard and Shilphonia.
Damnit. A little more, I was able to finish him off.
Feeling frustrated and depressed over his futile opportunity, Regard could only sigh deeply, approaching Shilphonia who was still silent while covering up ***********.
"What are you going to do to me?"
"none. I just want to do this."
In the hand of Regard that was extended towards Shilphonia was a deep purple colored light.
In an instant the tattered clothes that Shilphonia was wearing returned to full normal with nothing broken in any part.
"It's..."
"alright. Let's go back before they suspect us."
"Yes, you're right."
Feeling that Regard's existence was dangerous, Shilphonia could only follow him without expressing her objection to his actions earlier.
