Ch. 44: Accidental Meeting

"Have you guys finished doing it?"

"Yes, we're done with it."

"That's right."

On the ground floor, Regard who was sitting on a chair in the public hall that noticed the arrival of Reita, Fuuya, and Sasaki, smiled at their answers that made him get up from the chair.

"Let's go to the Adventurers Guild."

"Yes." Yeah."

"Today we're going on a mission like always."

"Yes, you're right."

The four of them rushed off to the Adventurers Guild to immediately take on the missions available today on the mission board that was in the Guild.

Upon arrival at the Adventurers Guild, the entire adventurer gathered in the General Hall with his fellows in his respective groups and groups, deliberating and discussing about what they were doing now and then.

"It's really crowded."

"Yes. Apart from them being active in the morning, Lien City was a city where adventurers gathered to go on their respective missions."

The four of them walked towards the board, silent for a moment while paying attention to the missions listed on the mission board, choosing one for them to carry out the mission on this day.

Although there are only three available missions, Regard thinks that taking one of them is the first step for him to do adventurous activities in the new city, Lien City in order to earn more despite his minimal income.

Regard who approached Reita, paying attention to the mission Reita pointed to him made him read the entire contents of the mission quickly in his heart.

"Interesting."

"Is there anything you're interested in, sir?"

"Yes. I wonder if it's really a mission worthy of making you smile."

His gaze that turned to Sasaki and Fuuya made the two of them bewildered by the smile placed on Regard's face, chuckling and laughing softly at what he had seen earlier without realizing it himself.

Pulling out a piece of paper stuck on the board to give Fuuya, Fuuya saw it clearly and read it slowly. Sasaki by his side approached Fuuya, looking at the contents of the mission simultaneously to find out about what made his master, Regard smiled and laughed softly like before.

The two read it for a moment, fell silent and stared at Regard and Reita in turn, Fuuya and Sasaki looking at each other, smiling at the mission they had read carefully and handing it to Regard.

"Enoughly interesting. Isn't that right, Sasaki?"

"Yes. I think the mission this time is pretty easy to do, sir."

Smiling at the words of Sasaki and Fuuya, Regard quickly stroked the heads of the two of them in turn to reward them for their clear-cut understanding of what Regard found interesting to do and work on.

After doing that to the two girls nearby, Regard walked towards the guild reception to ask for confirmation then left the Adventurers Guild along with the three girls nearby who had come out of the Adventurers Guild like himself.

The Regard POV

As we walked down every street in the city, we finally arrived at one of the large buildings that was different in height from the other buildings.

"Is this the place?"

"Yes. Based on the location listed, this is the place."

After checking the location listed on the mission paper, I placed it in my pants pocket, walked up to the door to enter, they followed me from behind.

"It's a lot."

"Yes, you're right."

I understand because I know what kind of mission we are going to have now.

Those missions were not the ones available as usual; hunting monsters, helping with the evacuation of the population, exploring the ruins, helping with the repair of the city or village, it was not a mission that was on a daily basis, but this mission is a really unique mission for us to do.

"Excuse me, is there anyone named Mr. Riyan? We're here intending to do the mission on this paper."

Reita who approached the table that I thought of as the order table, handed a piece of paper to the man who was wearing a black suit and a long white uniform inside, as well as black cloth pants for her to read.

One of the long red-haired women tied up in a ponytail approached us, allowing the four of us to follow him as he directed us into the waiting room, which was all I could understand.

After the four of us sat on the dark red sofa facing each other, the woman bent her body at us, walked out of the room and closed the door, leaving the four of us in the waiting room.

Hearing the honest words from Fuuya, I thought that he was the one to watch and watch out for as long as we did the mission later.

The man was sitting on the one seat on the right side of where Fuuya and I were, while the left side of where Sasaki and Reita were, we looked at each other towards the man.

"I am Ruslan, the owner of a famous restaurant in Lien City, I purposely made that request to the Adventurers Guild in order to ease the burden that the servants we have in serving customers who often come to visit restaurants and new customers."

From Mr. Ruslan's words, I'm sure he's worried about some of the factors at his restaurant.

First, he said that this restaurant is famous for being crowded in Lien City. In other words, customers who often stop by are people who feel comfortable over the cuisine, service, and dishes served in this restaurant.

Second, it is so famous among residents in Lien City, Indonesia, Mr. Ruslan sent us a request that we go through the daily mission he gave of being an employee for a whole week to help ease the burden that the waiter who worked at his restaurant had.

Thirdly, I myself do not know whether this is true or not, but judging from his expression, Mr. Ruslan was having unpleasant things at this restaurant that I myself did not know what unpleasant things he knew.

"Can you really help me?"

"Let me ask for a minute!"

"Good."

I turned my gaze towards them, Reita who was by my side looked at me with a friendly smile on her face, nodding at the gaze that I directed towards her, Sasaki and Fuuya who nodded confidently made me smile at their understanding.

As long as they don't mind then it's okay for me to accept it, that's what I get from their approval based on the nods and faces they show me.

"It's okay. Besides we're in the middle of it so it just so happens we saw that on the mission board. Isn't that right, guys?"

I didn't want to make Mr. Ruslan indebted to me, I decided to deliberately say that while convincing them to play the role I wanted.

Shilphonia who had noticed the people passing by along the street from behind the window turned her gaze towards Friya, facing towards her while putting an anxious expression on her face, worried about what he said.

Friya who had been reading the book sitting on the side of the bed, closed the book and looked at Shilphonia who was looking at her, closed her eyes for a moment, Friya sighed softly, confused at what her friend, Shilphonia, was thinking.

"I mean he looks more mature than most people."

"You're right. Seen from how he faced a situation that people were hard to cope with maturely, he also had a broad mind that people in general rarely had."

According to Friya, his words were to fully praise the advantages possessed by Regard. Starting from; Regard who looks weak in front of many people but looks strong and great behind others, thinking about the security he lived alone in eradicating the evil that is in the city, and the security that he lived alone in the city, living his activities as a low-level adventurer, Black Adventure, and easy to socialize with anyone is the advantage he has.
