The Necromancers

The Necromancers
Ch. 6:Guests Not Invited

In the silent darkness, a horde of people were walking through the forest. Each of them carried weapons such as spears, swords, and arrows, accompanied by the light armor they wore.

"Are they still there?"

"Wait a minute!"

A girl standing on a tree trunk jumped deep into another tree trunk to check the situation.

Paused for a moment, the girl focused her attention on what was in the depths of the forest she was looking at.

What he saw was a group of monsters like Orcs making the girl sure the situation was quite dangerous. Rushing back to where her friends were, the girl quickly explained the details.

"It looks like it is."

"Are we going to do an extermination against them?"

"No, we'll wait for the right time to do it."

In front of them was a long blonde girl with a beautiful look to look at, especially with her sexy and seductive body that would make anyone stunned at the beauty of her body, as well as the beauty of her appearance.

•••••

"Is it still a long way to go to Fairy Forest?"

"Yes, it took me two days to get to that place."

"That's it."

Sitting at the side of the path, Regard pulled out a small glass bottle containing blood in it that came from the monster he had hunted before.

Shilphonia who noticed Regard's relaxed demeanor, shook her head and approached him.

"When do you want to rest?"

"I'm not strong if I continue. That's why I often rest to calm down everything inside me."

"You mean the darkness?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Sipping the blood he drank, Regard felt his body refreshed.

His light body made him happy so he was able to walk a long way with the blood he had consumed.

"Let's go, Shilph!"

"Yes." Yeah."

Continuing the journey, they did not talk to each other.

Elsewhere inside the settlement, a girl with her magic wand notices the conditions inside the housing of one of the residents.

"Why did this happen?"

"What should we do, miss?"

"We will defend this forest from being destroyed by them. If they do, I'll step in to face them."

"Good."

A man who understood the meaning of his words went from his place and came out of the house of one of the residents.

Noticing the contents inside the house, the long blonde girl with long pointed ears let out a sigh.

There is no other choice.

Approaching several injured people, the girl casts magic on one of the victims.

The body of the victim who was previously severely injured in the abdomen and one of his missing arms that was constantly spitting out blood slowly his stomach recovered, recovering, likewise, his arm that began to stop bleeding but could not restore his lost arm.

I hope it all ends well.

Her gaze that led to some soldiers still lurking about the enemy's movements made the girl anxious and worried over their condition.

Whether they can return safely unharmed or otherwise, the girl's thoughts continue to lead to their condition.

•••••

"It's..."

"We're completely besieged huh."

Looking around the place, Regard and Shilphonia were mobbed by Orcs in large numbers.

Most of the Orcs wore armor and carried weapons; axes, swords, and spears. Each of them formed their own team consisting of swords, spears, and axes in one team amazed Regard at their team's formation.

"Do we have to finish him off?"

"Wait a minute!"

Restraining Shilphonia from acting rashly, Regard felt a presence slowly coming to their place. The presence itself did not come from demons or monsters, but other living things in large numbers in groups ready to approach them.

Lothawat! What are we supposed to do?

Realizing that this position would have led to Regard being held hostage by them, the only idea for him was to share this idea with Shilphonia.

"Shilph, we're going to do a little reckless plan. Do you want to do it?"

"What plan?"

"Dry!"

Approaching Regard, Shilphonia put up her ear to hear Regard's plan.

As long as Regard told her that, Shilphonia was shocked at the crazy idea that included being reckless to do. Although it sounded crazy, Shilphonia believed this was the only way that they could survive without doing any trouble to them.

"All right, let's do it!"

"Yes." Yeah."

In a place not far from Regard and Shilphonia, a group of Elves with spear and sword weapons were walking through the forest to where a swarm of Orcs were.

For a few minutes they walked, they arrived where the Orcs were.

"That's..."

"Everything, just follow the rules and don't let your guard down!"

"Good."

A group of Elves deftly ran towards the Orcs.

The orc holding the axe swung it forward which made dust scatter around. Not missing the opportunity, the sword Orc tried to attack some of the Elves who looked off guard. But before the sword hit the Elf's body, the long spear held him back.

Elves who knew that Orcs would take advantage of the opportunity, began to attack him back. The sword Elf army began to withstand all the attacks launched by the spear Orcs, while the spear Elves began to launch attacks on the sword Orcs.

The cycle continued until the dust that had previously surrounded them had completely disappeared.

"Damn...."

Although the Elves managed to hold on and were in a favorable position, their expressions stiffened when they knew the remaining Orcs were Orcs with large axes. Those who knew that Orcs with large axes stronger than themselves decided to use something in order to counterbalance each other's strength.

"Do it, Archer!"

"Good."

Arrows in large numbers floated in the air and rained down on the bodies of Orcs. Each of the Orcs were hit by arrows which made their bodies look weakly helpless.

The reason they were weakly helpless was that the arrows hitting their bodies were not ordinary arrows, either, but the arrows that had been covered in poison made their bodies fall to the ground while enduring the pain that radiated through their bodies. Regard and Shilphonia who were lying on the ground were also hit by the arrow.

Fortunately before the arrows hit them, Shilphonia had given protection to both of them, Absolute Defense, which made their bodies immune to various attacks.

(Absolute Defense, an absolute defense that can withstand a variety of physical and magic attacks, attacks that can be withheld are basic to high level attacks, such as, yet it could not withstand an attack that never existed in a world whose strength exceeded any common sense)

Although immune to any attack, Regard did not miss that his body had been covered with blood on his body or the body of Shilphonia made them sure that the person they met was dead.

That was why without a doubt they carried out a large-scale attack, regardless of the person lying in the middle of their fight.

"Groan!"

The Elf army of swords and spears started advancing simultaneously. Not wasting a chance, they immediately cut off the arm, slashed the body with a huge scratch, as well as slashed at the head of the Orc, everything was done together which made the Orc blood spurt out onto the surface of the ground around filled with pools of their blood.

It's really terrible.

Yeah, I didn't expect that it would turn into a scary fight.

Shilphonia who was initially surprised by their formation expressed her dislike for their vile and ferocious fighting manner.

The register is the same. For Regard, the Elves should have given them a chance not to make a mistake. But, it seems that all of that is far from the estimate of Regard.

Instead of forgiving and giving the Orc a chance, the Elf just finished him off without pity.

•••••

"Miss, we found two dead humans."

"Can you bring him here?"

"Good."

The Elven men who had previously reported about their discovery of the two human corpses that had been attacked and finished off by the Orcs left the room heading outside the resident's house.

Outside the house, the elf man told his troops to bring them inside, they followed his orders by bringing Regard and Shilphonia into the house of the people.

Regard, he is....

Yep. It was unmistakable, he was a powerful Elf.

Sensing the abundance of life energy, accompanied by the abundance of mana, Shilphonia and Regard could only be shocked in silence as long as they pretended to be dead.

Even though their breath is intentionally invisible, they are still required to maintain this position so as not to be suspected by them.

"We've brought them, miss!"

"They..."

"What's up, Miss?"

"none. Put it there!"

"Good."

Following his orders, they placed the bodies of Regard and Shilphonia in a corner of the room so as not to be mixed up with other badly injured elves and elves who had been healed by him.

Alright.

Approaching their bodies, the elf girl looked at him full of confusion.

Even though he knew that they were not dead, he still kept his composure as much as possible so as not to make the two wake up.

"Maybe it's gonna hurt a little bit, but I want you to hold it."

Painful?

Could she...

Just when the elf girl closed her eyes, a light emerged from her magic wand.

On the wooden floor inside the house, the bright red magic circle dazzled the entire room. Slowly the light began to shine brightly which made Shilphonia's body in pain.

Unlike Shilphonia who was in pain, Regard actually felt nothing.

Steady, Shilph!

Where can! If I stay longer, I'll die.

Evading to survive, Shilphonia chose to wake up rather than pretend to be dead and keep her distance from the elf girl.

His sharp gaze directed at the elf girl made him sure that the beautiful girl looked annoyed and hated the magic she had used earlier on her.

There is no other choice.

Rushing up from pretending to be dead, Regard quickly raised both of his hands.

"What are you doing, Regard?"

"I'm giving up."

"Generating, you say? Are you sure?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Unable to understand Regard's actions, the elf girl looked puzzled over his attitude that suddenly gave up and raised both hands.

"May I know the reason for your coming here?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Lowering his arms, Regard explained his arrival to hunt down some of the Orcs present in the Fairy Forest.

The elf girl who heard it, understood and nodded so she did nothing but accept their arrival in the Elf Village.

"Please follow me!"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Good."

Following the direction of the elf girl, Regard and Shilphonia who were at the back were relieved as they managed to escape from her suspicions.

If Regard were to be honest and forthright about his arrival wanting to find out about Stahark's whereabouts, the elves would be suspicious and assume that they were both spies from the demon army.

Surely Regard understood that so he deliberately lied so as not to be suspected by them. Moreover, if he was interrogated and killed, it would still be painful to make a reality for him.
