An awkward atmosphere begins to be felt between Zoya and Lucas who are already in the same bed. Yeah, it's been half an hour since Lucas came to Zoya's room, they haven't talked to each other at all. In fact they are seen to keep their distance by sleeping away from each other. However, how far the two lay, they remained on the same blanket.
"It's the only way I can access his phone to be tapped by Adrian," Zoya's inner self still waits for Lucas to fall asleep before executing his plan.
"Why did you ask me to sleep here? Are you no longer afraid of me?" Lucas finally asked after waiting for Zoya to talk.
Zoya remained silent for a while. Think hard before finally starting to answer what was asked by Lucas, even though he actually felt reluctant to talk to the man. During this time, every Zoya asks for something with the reason of cravings on Lucas is just to prank the man. Yes, Zoya wants to teach her a lesson after all the bad things Lucas has done to her.
"I'm no longer afraid of you. So don't think you can hurt me like the first time we met. After all, this is not my wish, but the child in my womb. Tonight I just want to sleep well and not think of you like last night."
Lucas who feels strange with Zoya's answer is still digesting what he heard. Of course he still has a hard time believing that a pregnant woman to experience cravings that must be obeyed and it is somewhat troublesome for him.
"Thankfully I was barren. So, something like this would never happen again in the future. Really troublesome."
Zoya disagrees with Lucas. After just turning her back on the man, Zoya turned around. Facing Lucas before saying what was on his mind.
Zoya's words left Lucas stunned. He remembered every difficult moment he had ever lived in his entire life. One of them is the moment where Edward once hurt Belinda, his mother. At that moment, Lucas was completely destroyed. He felt alone and there was no place to exchange ideas or share his sadness for not wanting to burden the mother who was down because she was so hurt. During this time, Lucas always relied on his mother as a place to complain. Yes, that's how Lucas is, he's been closer to his mother than his father, especially since that incident.
"Once you go, I'm going to bed. You better sleep and not be noisy! Tonight please don't ask for anything weird like yesterday because I have an important meeting tomorrow morning." Lucas chooses not to respond to Zoya's words, though he feels that what she says is really happening in his life. He felt alone and lonely because he had no brothers in his family.
A few minutes passed by so quickly, no sound could be heard from Lucas. Zoya began to rise slowly and sat on the bed without opening the blanket that had covered her body. The goal was a nightstand on Lucas' left side or across from where he was. Yes, Zoya wants to take Lucas's phone according to what Adrian ordered.
After making sure Lucas was asleep, Zoya began to move, extending her hand to grab Lucas' phone on the nightstand. However, just as Zoya was about to pass through Lucas' body, the man suddenly moved and immediately made Zoya's body fall right into his arms.
"God, why is he holding me?" Zoya. Staring at the handsome face of Lucas that instantly made him amazed. I don't know what feelings are suddenly present in his heart, but because Zoya thinks it is wrong, he quickly threw it away.
"Remember, Zoya! This man is the one responsible for your mother's death. So, there shouldn't be any feelings for her." After talking to himself, Zoya began to turn to talk to the child in the womb.
"Sir, anyway Mama does not want you to love your Papa. He's a bad guy, Dek. Anyway Mama does not want when you are born later, you see this bad man. Mama will make sure before Mama gives birth to you later, Mama is gone from this house." Zoya spoke in a soft voice while rubbing the part of her stomach that had been protruding. At the moment, he still had a hard time letting go in Lucas' embrace which somehow so tightly held him.
