The Only Daughter Of Lancaster

The Only Daughter Of Lancaster
Part Seventeen: The Eye of the Sword

"Kier, what's today's schedule?" Amabel asked when Kier had finished her hairpiece.

Kier sprayed perfume on Amabel's neck. "There's no official schedule, princess. Is there anything you want to do?"

Amabel immediately smiled broadly, "i want to practice the sword."

Kier immediately glared when he heard Amabel's request. "Daughter, I don't think that's possible."

Amabel immediately scowled, making Kier feel guilty. "I mean, today the knights are training. However, if the princess wants we can see them." This time Kier's eyes shone, even his hands adrift in front of his chest.

Seeing that Amabel immediately narrowed her eyes, "well, you're so excited about Kier."

Without guilt the dark-haired woman smiled. "So, is the princess leaving? Oh, I heard that this training will include the students of the sword department from Hugsun."

This time Amabel's eyes were shining. Without saying, the girl stood up. "Let's go!"

Kier behind Amabel chuckled softly. The two of them exited the room and passed through the corridor towards the training ground. Different from the tea party venue yesterday, this park is more like a field with trees as a barrier. There's a two-story building, maybe it's the headquarters of the knights. From this distance, Amabel could see her brother fighting a knight. His eyes sparkled, despite having seen Alec practice often but admiration still emerged. The way Alec swung the sword was light and beautiful. His movements were like the wind, invisible yet deadly.

"Well, we have a guest here." A knight's greeting.

Amabel was shocked when she saw the knight in front of her. He quickly controlled himself and paid his respects. "I'm sorry for my stupidity that came without news. I'm Amabel Rosemary Lancaster greeting."

The knight immediately smiled broadly, "ah! The sister of Alec!" The young man then extended his hand which Amabel immediately grabbed. A light kiss on Amabel's hand is a sign of introduction. "I, Irwin Sarma, head of the royal army."

"Well, it's an honor to meet you in person." Amabel said without holding back her smile. "My brother always told me about your dexterity."

Thanks to Alec's story, Amabel was amazed by the white-haired man in front of her. Irwin smiled hearing that, "then what if Lady takes a close look?"

"I will accept it with pleasure." Amabel's hand received Irwin's hand. With her hand held by Irwin, Amabel was led to the front of the barracks. Of course Kier followed behind. "Knight! Gather together!"

Amabel immediately turned her head, wanting to stop Irwin but the knights had already gathered. Amabel wanted to see quietly. "Miss Amabel Lancaster today came to see our rehearsal. So, let's practice with passion."

"Yes!" Shouts of knights.

From his place, Amabel exchanged smiles with Alec. Oh, how much Amabel misses her sister. Her brother could have appeared without news! Sucks.

Alec approached Amabel, rubbing the top of his sister's head gently. "When I plan to see you after the rehearsal is over."

"Then brother should have trained harder because today I'm the one who met you." Reply Amabel with a jaily smile.

Alec nodded, "look how cool I am, okay?"

"okay! Brother must be excited!" Amabel said cheerfully as Alec walked back to the field.

The girl waited in the chair and watched her brother. It makes him feel at home. Amabel remembers seeing Papa and Alec practicing swordsmanship at the weekend. Amabel and Eli would wait on the sidelines and eat a snack and bet on who would win. Ah, fun.

The coldness of the metal around Amabel's neck made her turn. A sword on his neck. God, what's with the sword and the neck anyway? Is his neck so tempting to the sword-eye?

The owner of the sword turned out to be a cocky man in the market. "Well, look, who I met. You remember me, don't you?" Her tone sucks.

Amabel instead smiled sweetly, "i find it hard to remember someone who doesn't give me a good memory in my head."

"Well, look, how arrogant you are. You don't know who I am?" Ask in a proud tone.

Amabel looked at the man in front of her with an innocent look. "Should I know?"

"Tsk! You!" His face approached, until the two noses fused together. From this close distance the color of his eyes was clearly visible, gold. "Let's fight."

"Prince, I don't think it's necessary." Irwin tries to appease the second Prince, Ian Ravindra.

Amabel had already stood up after seeing the nod from Alec. Her sister had noticed it since. "It's okay, Mr. Irwin, I accept the challenge from hm, what's your name?"

Ian's eyes were reddened, annoyed. "Hurry and get your sword!"

"Mr Irwin, can I borrow a sword?" Pinta Amabel and despite his doubts, Irwin gives Amabel a sword.

Kier held himself back, but Amabel smiled. "No problem, Kier. Take it easy, I'll win."

Amabel followed Ian from behind until stopping in the middle of the field. The few knights who had originally trained gave room to both. "I have two conditions." Amabel said when dealing with Ian.

Amabel desperately did not directly swing the arrogant Prince's neck sword in front of her. "First, you'll acknowledge the outcome of the game." Amabel waited for a nod from Ian and then continued. "Both if my sword is on your neck, no one will attack me."

Although Ian snorted in disbelief, but he still nodded. "You hear? You're all just gonna watch, no one's gonna attack this little girl."

Amabel moved her grip on the sword. The two then faced a distance of one step and gave a greeting. After which the two turned around and gave a distance of three steps. When the three steps were completed, Amabel immediately lowered her head and turned around. With a sword grip he pushed Ian back a few steps. The movements of an emotional person can be heard clearly.

Amabel is grateful today that she wears a dress that is below the knee length. Amabel Jugs is grateful for her hair braided one. Thank you, Kier.

The sound of the sword sounded so gripping. The distance between the two was so close that at the same time they both jumped backwards. Ian is an impressive type of striker. Amabel liked the fact that Ian did not see her as a woman but an opponent. The girl smiled as Ian ran towards her. Amabel's eyes looked at Ian's feet then with a quick movement he threw Ian's sword. At the same moment Amabel kicked Ian's back leg until the young man fell down. This time Ian's position was joined by Amabel's sword on the side of his neck.

Amabel could hear the footsteps of the knights who were approaching but directly stared at them sharply. "A knight will always remember the promises they made." With a single sentence the knights stopped despite being full of doubt.

Amabel looked down, looking at Ian with a ray of anger. "Isn't that so? A true knight will not break every promise and word, right?"

When Ian stood up Amabel's sword was still on Ian's neck. "I, Ian Ravindra Walcote, the second Prince acknowledged Amabel Rosemary Lancaster's victory."

Hearing that Amabel immediately lowered her sword and smiled. "Thank you for this fun fight, Prince."

Ian nodded then took his sword. "Alec certainly taught you well."

"Thank you for your compliment." Amabel.

Ian turned around then clenched his hands in front of Amabel's face. "Open your hand."

Amabel complies and a brooch with a green diamond. "Gift for your victory. One day, I'll beat you."

"I'll wait for that day to come." Amabel replied while saluting. "Thank you for the Prince's kindness."

Ian nodded then left Amabel. The girl looked at Ian who was patting Alec on the shoulder. Then Amabel did not know what was happening because the knights swarmed her to congratulate her. Alec comes splitting the crowd and pulls Amabel, possessive. "Well, you guys can continue the practice while I'll take my sister out for a break."

Alec's words were answered with a frenzy. Amabel doesn't even know what they're saying. Alec's hand on his back was calming. The pat on his back was a sign that Alec was proud of Amabel's ability. "I don't know what your problem is with Ian, but you have to explain it to me." Flat Alec vibe.

"Good." Reply Amabel bowed.

From where Irwin clapped, "I'm amazed by your ability. Defeating a second Prince was an achievement." Genuine praise.

"Thank you for your compliment." Reply Amabel while giving a small salute. "Thank you for giving me permission to see this exercise and lend me a sword."

Irwin shook his hand, "no need, no need."

Alec came back with ointment and bandage. "Sit down and give me your hand."

Amabel didn't even notice her hand was flushed and scratched. "You're still too fast to hold the sword. The sword is heavy, isn't it?"

"Yes, it weighs the same as papa's." Answer Amabel. "Oh, brother's also that heavy."

Alec nodded as he wrapped around Amabel's hand with a bandage. "That's a sword for adults. Your hands will hurt and get bruised. But during the fight you didn't feel it, did you? Or are you holding him?"

"I'm holding him." Amabel replied, Because honestly the sword is ten times heavier than hers.

"Soundless child." Alec's Scorn. "Go back to your room and clean yourself up."

This time Alec turned to Kier, "can I see him later?"

Kier nodded, "of course. I'll prepare tea for the young master."

Alec stretched out the ointment he had used for Amabel's hand. "Reply this again later on his hands and back. Put a little spice in the bath water. Then later before going to bed, please massage his hands and back."

Kier nodded again. His outlook once again changed on Amabel. This daughter master is truly extraordinary. Kier believes Amabel grew up with love, knowledge, and extraordinary abilities. Seeing how Lancaster's sister's brother gave each other love and support made Kier's heart warm. Thankfully he was placed in charge of Amabel.

"Come, princess." Take Kier after the two say goodbye.

From one of the trees, a red-haired young man descended. She noticed how Amabel had defeated her sister. He laughed so hard since. His arrogant sister was finally slapped by reality. Her eyes looked at the main culprit who made her brother lose. She laughed again, "ah, it was fun. I'm going to go and see my sister now. Oh, or should I meet my brother and tell him this news? Ah, I can't wait to bother you."
