The Only Daughter Of Lancaster

The Only Daughter Of Lancaster
Part Twenty-Three: Starting From the Beginning

Ian secretly followed the King and Queen. He looked out the door and listened to both of them.

"You heard what he said? He deserves to be put to death." Said Yanha while looking at Adena in frustration.

Adena sighed, "what did you expect when you made this sudden rule? You expect all children to submit and obey?"

Adena never considered herself inferior to Yanha. He was born to a great King with great military strength. It was certainly no wonder that Yanha desperately wanted her. "Someone like Amabel won't be able to make you submit. You destroyed her, twice. And you're doing this just because she's Duke Lancaster's daughter. Don't you feel satisfied with what you have?"

"Adena Ivanov, watch your talk!" Yanha's voice was rising.

Adena was undaunted by that thunderous voice. "You should keep your actions and your words. I've told you many times, one day you'll be ruined because of what you said."

"I don't care, but I'll punish the boy." Yanha passed through Adena's body.

"Don't you forget that I have all authority on this election. I have the right to punish anyone who is guilty. Do not forget that the opinion of a future empress is protected by law. You have no right to punish or do anything to her." Adena's explanation stopped Yanha's move. The woman turned her body, staring at Yanha's back. "If you don't want my son to ascend the throne, say it from the beginning. You just make things more complicated."

Adena now passed through Yanha's body and walked out of the room. Ian felt he shouldn't be there. He quickly hid. He didn't know his parents had anything this complicated. From inside the room Ian could hear the sound of goods being slammed. His father must be angry.

Adena Ivanov did not return to her room, but stepped into Amabel's room. In the room, Amabel said nothing to Duke Hamilton. She just tightened her grip on the dress after saying that her family should not know about this. Amabel's teeth clenched, holding back her cries and anger.

The door opened and Adena came in. "Duke, you can go. I'll take care of him."

"Okay, Your Majesty." Duke Hamilton replied with a heavy heart.

After Duke Hamilton left, Adena Ivanov sat down next to Amabel. For a long time no one spoke, until Amabel turned her head. "What is Your Majesty doing to my room? Has my sentence been set?"

Adena chuckles at hearing that. "Did I look like I came to say that?"

Amabel fell silent, looked at Adena for a moment then shook her head. "I won't apologize."

Adena leaned her body against the sofa. "You don't have to do that. Whatever your opinion and speech during the election of the empress candidate is protected by law. All of that is considered input from academics."

Ah, even though Amabel once said it. He was so angry that he forgot something important. Thank goodness his family will not be punished. "You know what you said just now is true. The king so wants you as empress or maybe as queen in the future. He wants you for the Fifth Prince and with that the position of the Fifth Prince will get stronger. He wants you to be Yerkink's future." Adena's blank gaze now met Amabel's moon-eyes. "In short, he doesn't want my son to be a successor."

Amabel immediately lowered her head. "I feel like I'm hearing things I shouldn't know."

Adena flicked her hand, "don't be too shy. I did this solely to protect my son. No need to expect too much from me."

Amabel began to understand this conversation. "So, what can I do for Her Majesty the Queen?"

Adena smiled. "It's good if you understand quickly. I'm not asking you to marry my son because you'll be troublesome in the future."

Surprisingly, he did not feel hurt by the words of Adena. Maybe it is direct and sharp, but not implied. "I will get you out of the kingdom. It may not get you married, but it can give you freedom until your legal age. So, all that time, find the strength and the way to keep you from returning to the kingdom."

This doesn't hurt Amabel. He did not have to stop and put his family to shame. He did not need to run away and become a traitor anyway. He can come out officially and seek power as Adena suggested. "During that time, never go back to the kingdom and never get in touch with the Prince to the Five."

Suddenly Amabel tightened her grip on the dress again. Her chest feels tight. But then he ignored it and nodded. "I get. I'll do it."

Whatever it is. No matter how much he has to pay. Amabel will do it. Adena stood up, "this is only between us."

Once again Amabel nodded. "Your Majesty .. about my family ... "

Adena stopped stepping. "Do as you please. If the reasons you give are good, they won't touch you or your family."

"The Queen's Mother." The greeting came from the black hair. His red eyes glowed in the dark of the night. Arion saluted Adena who had just arrived in front of her room.

"My son Arion, what's wrong? Let's go in and talk about it first." Take Adena. Without Arion knowing, Adena uses magic in her room. So that their conversation will not be heard. Just like he did in Amabel's room. However, for the reading room earlier he let Ian hear everything. He needs a bat.

Nope, no. Adena's not a bad guy. She is just a mother who wants her child to get the rights that must be accepted for a long time. "So, what's the matter with my son coming this late? Is there anything so important?"

Arion took a breath and then threw it away. "As for Duke Lancaster's daughter, will she be punished?"

Ah, so this. Adena crossed her legs, making a lap for her hands. "It will be decided tomorrow. You can rest to find out."

Suddenly, Arion knelt down. Something that knights should not do like him. "Mother Queen, without prejudice to my respect. Can the Queen do anything? Something to keep Amabel from being punished? I beg you."

Adena clasped Arion's shoulder and made him stand up. "Don't be like this, Prince. You're making me hard."

"I beg. Whatever I'll do." Arion looked into Adena's eyes full of pleading.

Adena sighed and sat down Arion gently. "I will certainly do. This is a request from my son and I must certainly grant it."

A hopeful smile was created on Arion's lips. "really? I will do anything to repay the Queen Mother's kindness."

Adena sighed, "you know it would be easy if His Majesty the King didn't have that plan."

Arion. He remembered Amabel's earlier words. The King wanted a marriage between himself and Amabel. He was down, how much fun it would be if it could be real. How selfish of him to hope so. "I would do anything to keep Amabel from being punished."

Adena smiled, touching Arion's shoulder calmed down. "Don't worry about my son. That won't happen until Amabel's legal age, will it?"

Arion looked at his mother. He remembered that marriage can only be done when both the bride and groom are of legal age. "Will but, so that doesn't happen .. You know what I mean, don't you? My dear son you just got back, please don't do this."

Arion. Only a few days later he arrived home. He promised to stay with his mother. But how can he be selfish? Letting Amabel be forced to marry him and suffering was not in his plans. If they get married, it must come from the desire of both.

He clenched his hand. Arion has said that whatever and as much as he will do. For Amabel. For moon.

"What's wrong, Queen Mother. Don'worry. I'll leave until Amabel is legal." Arion tries to convince Adena.

"Then what will you do when you get back, my son?" Adena needs a guarantee.

Arion smiled, "i'll do something. It's just that if Amabel doesn't want that marriage, I'll devote my life as a knight."

Adena surprised. He didn't think Arion would say that. Her tears escaped, "no, my son. How could? Don't risk your life like this."

Arion smiled again, "not what the Queen Mother is. So, please help me."

"If this is how can I refuse?" Adena grabbed Arion's body and hugged him tightly.

He didn't expect it to be this easy. Arion didn't expect it to be like this. It's okay, for Amabel's happiness. Anything, anything, as much as anything. Arion will sacrifice him. Amabel should be happy.
