The Only Daughter Of Lancaster

The Only Daughter Of Lancaster
Part Twenty-seven: Openness and Honesty

Amabel is currently in Sir Bennett's living room. However, Sir Bennett has not yet arrived so Amabel can only wait. His eyes looked at each shelf on the right and left sides. There are many books that Sir Bennett has. The whole room was full of books and Amanel loved it. It gives a calming feeling.

"Sorry to keep the lady waiting." Alberto came in and Amabel stood up. The girl saluted then sat down after Alberto gave the sign. "There are so many documents that I take care of before I leave."

Alberto put his hat on the table and crossed his legs. "So, did you come here to say goodbye?"

Amabel immediately shook her head. His eyes were sharp and full of confidence. "I will give you openness and honesty." Amabel's hand is linked, "Sir, before I start all you have to know is I don't want to be empress."

Amabel looked up, looking at Sir Bennett. He thought Sir Bennett would look at him strangely or angrily, but he didn't. Amabel then continued. "I don't want to marry the prince, or anyone else. I don't want to get married for compulsion. Exactly I just want to be a daughter of my father and mother." Amabel cleared her throat, unaware that her voice was shaking. "But I had to for the sake of my family. Even answering those questions was because I realized that the magic paper was not only to prevent cheating, but also to find out who was not really filling it. I want to go in search of knowledge and strength. I want to go for myself and my future."

This time Amabel looked at Sir Bennett earnestly. "I want to walk the path I choose. Not by the command or authority of others. I want to find myself and the truth of the world."

Alberto had never seen such shining eyes and thirst for such knowledge. Not even to himself. He was sure Amabel would not be troublesome in the future. Although she was a noble daughter, Alberto knew that Amabel was not a spoiled child. Never did Amabel know that Alberto had seen Amabel several times in the city center. He had seen how Amabel interacted with Andette's shopkeepers and stationery stores. He also saw Amabel helping a girl. And if the results of the test Amabel became a condition of assessment, of course he has passed into his student.

"The fifth prince knows?" Ask Alberto. Looking at Amabel's face, he then added. "On your reluctance over this marriage and about your plans to come with me."

"He knows. Even the King and Queen know. I made trouble at the party a while ago." Amabel answered while looking down. He played his finger, nervous.

Alberto sighed, "then your family?"

Amabel shook her head, "I plan to tell them when I officially become your student."

Alberto got up from his seat. He stepped towards one of the shelves and took one of the documents. "Then what are you waiting for?"

"Yes?" Amabel looked up, looking at Alberto not understanding.

Alberto finally smiled, "go home and tell your family because the day after tomorrow we're leaving."

Amabel stood up with a big smile. He walked over to Alberto and bowed many times. "Thank you, sir! I'll definitely work hard."

"Bring the things you need. Don't bring anything useless." Alberto advised and Amabel nodded immediately.

"I'll go now then. Thank you and see you the day after." Amabel bowed and ran out of Alberto's living room.

Alberto doesn't know if his decision is right, but he's sure he won't regret it. "Ah, have to take care of the additional documents."

When she reached the front of the house, Amabel immediately ran towards the Duke Lancaster's study. "Papa, can I talk?"

Amabel's eyes shone, happy that she was in the room. He immediately entered after Duke Lancaster nodded and hugged Mary warmly. "Thank God my mom is here too." Amabel hugged Duke Lancaster.

He sat down in front of Mary and looked at his parents with a smile. "First I hope you won't be in shock and I hope you'll give me permission." Amabel opened the explanation while looking at her parents alternately. "I just met Sir Bennett and asked him to be my teacher. Just now, I was accepted as his disciple."

Mary smiled, looking proud. "Congratulations, my dear."

In contrast to Mary, Duke Lancaster looked unhappy. Amabel looked at Duke Lancaster, her eyes looking solemn. "Seeing from papa's expression, of course papa knows what I'm going to do in front of him." He looked at Mary who seemed to not understand. "As his disciple, I will go after Sir Bennett around the country. Mama, papa, please understand that this is the path I chose. It's the only thing I want to do."

Amabel nodded, "i know, mama. However, there are other things I cannot do in Plodnavor. I don't know what the outside world is, I don't know what life is like outside, and that's what I want to know. The experience I wanted to find."

Mary paused, avoiding Amabel's eyes. "Mama, there's a lot of things you wouldn't be able to achieve in Plodnavor. They already know about Bel and that will complicate the knowledge Bel wants to gain. Papa doesn't have to worry either, Bel is stronger and can protect himself."

"Yes, so strong that he dared to fight the Second Prince and the King." Duke Lancaster's insinuation made Mary stare intently at Amabel.

The silver-haired girl sighed, "there's a reason behind the incident."

"You mustn't fight the King, Bel." Said Mary, don't like it.

Amabel looked at Mary, firmly. "How can Bel not resist when the King harasses and offends Bel? How could Bel let a stranger cut off Bel's wings to fly free and step on them before Bel's eyes, mama?" Amabel took a breath, "Maybe you won't understand. Papa, won't know. Bel won't talk about it."

The room filled with silence afterwards. Mary was filled with guilt, while Duke Lancaster massaged her aching forehead. Amabel looked at the two in turn, "Amabel will go the day after tomorrow with Sir Bennett. Don't cut off the Bel's wings again because Bel has only one."

After that he stood up and saluted. "Good night."

The girl directly walked out of the Duke Lancaster's study. Even though it's family, the brand doesn't understand. Even if they said they would do anything, they wouldn't let Amabel do this one thing.

"Miss, what's wrong?" Elle asked as Amabel walked into her room. The silver-haired girl shook her head, "nothing. Please call Pita and help me pack."

Elle wanted to ask a lot of things, but she immediately closed her mouth when she saw Amabel's facial expression. The girl chose to go out and make room for her young lady. When Elle came out, Amabel sat on her bed. He drew and exhaled many times. He should calm down. After feeling quite calm, he grabbed the paper and started writing the items that needed to be brought. Amabel should pack up.

After everything she needed was on the list, Amabel immediately opened her closet and took out a small brown waist bag. Although the size is only as big as an adult's hand, this bag can load a lot of goods. Of course because it's a magic bag. Amabel bought it last year because she likes to buy books. A small smile was created on her lips, Amabel did not know if this bag would be useful for her journey.

"Miss, I'm in." It was Pita and Amabel instantly patted the spot on her side. Elle who was behind Pita followed. "Elle said the lady wanted to pack. Do you want to go somewhere?"

"Not just one, but many places. So, please help me pack clothes for four seasons." Elle and Pita looked at each other then nodded. "Select something that is comfortable, not excessive, and not difficult to wash. I don't need a lot of clothes, just something that's enough to use for four seasons. Shoes as well."

The two began to choose clothes. Amabel put in some of the ones she'd bring. Each season is four outfits and two shoes. Amabel carries a special coat for four seasons. He also carries a magic book given by Prince Ryu through Kier.

"I think this is enough." Amabel then pulled out a sign and money from the drawer. "You can continue the work. I'll sleep after this."

Elle looked at Pita, telling her to ask through a gaze. Pita sighed, she also wanted to know where her nona was going. "Miss, you're leaving?"

Amabel nodded and Pita continued. "To where? Miss just came back why would she leave again?"

Amabel this time stared at Pita and Elle. "I want to learn and see the world. I have become a disciple of Sir Bennett and I will follow him around the country. Don't be sad, I'll be back when the time comes."

The ribbon approached Amabel, "miss, may I hug miss?"

Amabel laughed and nodded. "certain. You want one too, Elle?"

"Huhu, miss." Elle ran and hugged Amabel. Amabel will certainly miss both, of course the others too. It's just that this is the path that Amabel chose and of course she won't regret it.
