Amabel's second trip with Alberto begins. The two would pass through the Rreze Mountains with the merchants. Amabel turned her head, finding Rain standing next to her in a black robe. "Why are you here?"
Rain turned his head and smiled, "protecting resources."
A speech that Amabel could not understand. The girl sniffed her shoulders and chose to walk behind Alberto. Their journey will take seven days. They had to pass through the forest then ascend to the Rreze Mountains and descend towards Iliya. If they had horses it would be faster.
Fortunately the forest here still let the sunlight in. The distance between the trees is not too close and the tree is not too high. This is not as scary as the forest in Amabel's shadow. During the journey, either only his feelings or indeed since earlier Amabel saw the light around them.
"Miss customers, please focus." Rain patted Amabel on the shoulder, making the girl flinch. "Say people first, do not be too fascinated by the beauty of the forest. You can be eaten."
"Rain, can't you talk about something I can understand?" Amabel said, the girl gave up.
Rain smiled, getting stuck. "When I hear this customer's lady is smart. It doesn't seem." Rain then walked ahead of Amabel. The girl growled while clenching her hands in annoyance. One day, he will definitely avenge Rain.
"Miss, let's hurry jalan~ Later left, you know." Rain's shout made Amabel growl in annoyance. The girl blew the end of her hair that fell to her forehead. Amabel then sped up her pace.
The group finally stopped on a fairly flat ground. Some started making tents for resting places, some made campfires, and others looked for food. Amabel and Rain are looking for fruit. The two roamed the forest, picking up some apples, berries, and mint leaves.
"Rain, please hold this." Amabel gave up one branch of the berries, but it was not taken by Rain. The girl looked over and Rain was gone.
"Rain? Where are you?" He shouted, looking for Rain but what he found was a river. Amabel will teach Rain a lesson if they meet later, just look!
He took out his drinking bag and filled it with river water. After washing her face, Amabel stood up and turned around. The sky was getting darker and Amabel was not sure she would find the same way if she did not leave now. The girl went back down the same path. His steps traced the path illuminated by fireflies. The road is not as scary as thought it turns out.
"He's Celine."
"Celine, Celine!"
"Celine, over here!"
Amabel could hear him clearly, but she chose to ignore him. Before long he saw the bonfire and found Rain was burning corn. Wow, really relaxed his life. The girl approached Rain and hit him on the head, loud enough for her voice to sound.
"ah! What's that blow for?" Rain looked over, looking at Amabel who could not accept it.
"To leave me alone!" Amabel is upset.
Rain smiled, without any guilt. Completely without guilt because now he was already busy asking for food. It felt so upset that Amabel chose to sit next to Alberto. "Shy, sucks." He said while glancing at Rain annoyed.
Alberto turned his head, giving the grilled yam to Amabel. "So, what did you get?"
Amabel gave Alberto the fruit. "Only that, the rest is in Rain."
Alberto nodded then gave the white cloth containing the fruit to the head of the trip. Amabel began to open the skin of her roasted yam and then ate it. Warm and sweet. Amabel still heard Celine's name calling around her. Amabel turned her head, looking for the source of the voice. Nothing is visible. Sucks.
From where Rain looked at Amabel and held a smile. He found something interesting. How nice to have personal resources. Rain stared intently at Amabel's left side and flicked his finger. On Amabel's left side was a dark aura that Rain had removed.
Don't blame the creatures that approach Amabel, however much the energy she expends is tempting. Powerful and pure energy. Something that only gods have.
Tonight will be long. Rain looked up, staring at the moon that was shining brightly despite its sickle shape. Tonight Rain has to work hard to look after Amabel. Ah, troublesome indeed. However, Rain does not like to share resources.
Seven days passed and they finally reached Iliya. The gate of Iliya was guarded by two knights who instantly checked the identity. Alberto issued a royal letter in the name of himself and Amabel. With the letter, the two entered without any problems. Rain came in as a traveller.
When entering the Iliya, Amabel immediately saw the passing student. They wear white uniforms with blue tendril motifs on the arms and chest. Simple yet beautiful looking. On the right and left side there are many shops, ranging from fruit stores, vegetables, books, to swords.
Amabel's eyes glowed, tired as she felt it disappearing when she saw life in Iliya. The familiar faces, the strange but calming scent, and the sound of music interlacing with the sword cries made him impatient to stay here. "Alberto, when will the test be conducted?" Ask Amabel while equating her steps with Alberto.
"Fusa." Alberto answered while looking to the left to find the location of the inn.
This time Amabel's eyes were round, "deer? I haven't studied! How'this?"
"Miss, you can save that anxiety for later. Now we have to find an inn first." Alberto stared at Amabel flatly.
The girl nodded immediately. It seems Alberto's emotions are bad. "What's the name of the inn?"
"Ah, that! That white building!" Alberto immediately accelerated his pace. Amabel still doesn't know which white building Alberto is referring to. Because in Iliyai all the buildings are white!
Alberto stopped in front of a two-story white building with a large wooden window on the right side. The door is made of teak with Clinkton writing on the door. When he entered, Rain was already sitting in front of the receptionist. Amabel rounded her eyes, how could Rain already be sitting there?
"You? Wh why? How'd it get here?" Ask Amabel did not understand while Alberto filled the administration.
Rain just smiled, "work. Indeed especially?"
Amabel could only grieve at Rain. He followed Alberto to the second floor. The man gave her the key to Amabel's room before entering the room. Looks like Alberto's going to sleep for a few days. Amabel should have known that Alberto wasn't the type to wander. His physical and energy are like his parents. The girl took off her robe and went straight into the bathroom. He had to clean himself up then go to the library or bookstore. Today Amabel will have to find information about the exam the day after tomorrow and maybe register considering Alberto is in a fashion not to be disturbed.
Hopefully it's not too late. Fortunately they arrived in Iliya in the morning, so Amabel had plenty of time. After she finished cleaning herself, Amabel dried her hair with magic. Yes, Amabel can do some magic like drying hair, washing clothes, also controlling water. That was all he remembered from the book he had bought from Rain. Of course, the woman would not admit it.
If Amabel could try summoning an elemental spirit again. It's just that somehow he felt he had to do it when alone in a quiet place. Given the reaction of Prince Ryu at that time made Amabel sure not to do it anywhere.
The girl returned to wearing her robe. Of course Amabel has washed it with magic. Amabel even used magic to make her clothes smell good. His silver hair was hidden under a cloak.
"Oi, miss customer! Where are you going?" Rain called from behind the table.
Rain showed a brown envelope in his hand. "So, Alberto gave this. You'll have to bring this if you want to apply for the exam."
Amabel nodded then walked over to Rain. He grabbed the envelope and opened it. There is information about the family, letters of recommendation from Sir Bennett and Sir Reginald. The girl then put the documents back in the envelope. "thank you. Where should I sign up?"
Rain smiled, "from here you just go to the tallest building. That's the place."
Sometimes Amabel thinks Rain's smile is full of gimmicks. Totally suspicious. "Rain, sometimes I don't know if you're really smiling sincerely or not." Amabel's words sounded piercing even to Rain.
However, Rain was really good at controlling himself. "I'll take it as an input. Oh, miss seems to have to leave now. Soon lunch and registration will be postponed until two."
Amabel nodded and then wrapped. "I'm leaving then, thank you!" The girl came out with the sound of the door bells.
Rain held his chin with his hand. "Miss is really interesting."
Amabel followed the direction of turning to the left and saw a white building—of course—with a clock that was at its peak. Not too far from the inn. There were no gates, only two large pillars with the flag of the school emblem. Amabel was amazed to see the large, green school building, and the students seemed to focus on learning. He walked towards the administration, and two students greeted him.
"Good day" said the two.
Amabel nodded, "at noon. I want to register for the exam."
The brown-haired girl nodded, "of course. I'm Silvia and this is Abraham, we're the exam registration committee. Can we see your data?"
Amabel immediately gave me the envelope she was carrying. "It."
The brunette then handed the envelope to the man beside her. "Amabel Rosemary Lancaster." Said the dark green-haired man. Abraham, Amabel must remember that name.
Amabel nodded, "yes."
Hearing the name Lancaster made Silvia look at Amabel. "You're from Plodnavor?"
Ah, so he knows. Amabel hopes Silvia knows little. "Yes. Are you from there too?" pleasantry questions. Amabel hopes the registration process is completed quickly.
"Go there. I didn't expect to see the daughter of Duke Lancaster." From her smile, Amabel was sure Silvia knew a lot of things.
"So, is the registration done?" Amabel asked, looking at Abraham. The man nodded then gave the name tag to Amabel.
"The first test is held the day after seven in the morning. Don't forget to carry your name tag. And please sign here." Abraham gave the pen and pointed to the location for the signature. Amabel read the paper at a glance, just a statement that each participant will take the exam in earnest and receive the final result with a spacious heart.
After affixing her signature, Amabel lowered her small head. "Thank you."
"See you later, Lancaster's daughter." Amabel simply stared at Silvia flat then turned around and continued her footsteps.
There was a feeling of dislike that arose as he looked at Silvia. The girl knew a lot about herself, probably from Plodnavor as well. I don't know. Amabel shook her head and patted both of her cheeks. He doesn't want to think bad, enough. Now let's find a sweet treat to get rid of those bad thoughts. It took a while until Amabel decided to go to the bakery. He wondered if he would find the same taste as bread in Andette? Or more variety. Just thinking about it made Amabel impatient.
The girl walked into the shop and smiled at the guard. "What bread is most bought?" tanyakanya.
"Did the new lady arrive in Iliya?" asked the shopkeeper and Amabel nodded with a sweet smile. "Then, please try this. Miss won't find this bread anywhere else."
"Why is that?" ask Amabel and take a leaf-shaped loaf.
The shopkeeper immediately wrapped the bread, "it's flower bread." Both of the shopkeepers eyes are now crescent-shaped, "despite the shape of the leaves. The material used was a golden chrysanthemum flower that only grew in Iliya."
Amabel just found out about this. The girl took out a few coins then bit her bread. "Oh, the aroma is really refreshing. Did you add vanilla powder and mint leaves?"
The shopkeeper's eyes lit up, "you know a lot! Yes, I added those two ingredients so that the scent of golden chrysanthemum would be even more pronounced."
"It's delicious. I'll come again tomorrow." The promise of Amabel and the old man of the shopkeeper nodded.
"Sure!" The girl gave a small salute then walked out of the bakery.
Unlike Andette who uses cinnamon more often, the bread here uses more vanilla. Although only briefly he can guess it through the aroma. Amabel's ability to judge food was something she was proud of.
The girl returned to walking, this time her goal was the library. Although during the trip Sir Bennett did not stop giving questions and readings, but Amabel felt less. The girl chose a book about the history of Iliya and the history of her school. Amabel believed that if she knew the field to be passed, she could answer correctly.
Without feeling Amabel had read ten books about the history of Iliya. The girl had also noted important things about Iliya. He put the books he read into a special basket and came out of the library. The sky was already dark when Amabel returned to the inn.
"Oho, miss is back." Rain greeted with a big smile.
Amabel just nodded, she was tired. "Oh, Rain, has Alberto gone down?"
Rain shook his head, "I haven't seen him come down yet. Miss wants dinner?"
"Later. I want to rest a minute." Amabel replied, "want to go with me to dinner?"
Amabel never ate dinner alone and she honestly didn't like eating alone. It feels lonely when eating at the table alone. "If the lady asks, I will grant." Reply Rain with a sweet smile.
The silver-haired girl chuckled, "thank you. Then I'll go upstairs first."
Rain nodded then flicked his finger and the dark aura on Amabel's side disappeared. Rain has been busy for a while. He stretched out his hand, ever since he met Amabel his body had moved a lot. Rain doesn't know, but he likes to be around Amabel. The energy was really delicious and it was nice to see the girl's facial expression change quickly.
