Rain pulled the bench in front of him, reopening the paper roll that Alberto had given him earlier. He knew of Amabel's condition after hearing it from the wind. The witches are moving. It was faster than they thought.
"They're moving." Rain and Alberto sighed. "I'm kind of sorry to send the lady there."
Alberto lit his cigarette with a bat. "Ah, royal affairs and this is stressful for me. I'm sure he'll be safe. There is a Prince. We can only hope he doesn't use the power of the elements and only uses manna."
"He did well earlier. I think he already knows how he is. I don't know what will happen after the trol attacks. How do you think?" Rain looked at Alberto. The man just slicked his shoulder, "no. You're the one trying to change both fates. How do we know what happens next? Their movements are different from the predictions. You changed it, Rain. So don't ask me my opinion."
Rain sighed. He closed the scroll - a map showing Amabel's movements. "Ah, now I'm really sorry."
Alberto patted Rain on the top of his head, "you can finally feel regret. You feel that way often."
Rain hit the air in his seat, annoyed beyond measure. "ah! I shouldn't have listened to his wishes! Arg!"
Once again Alberto patted Rain on the top of the head with a cigarette in the mouth. "Keep blaming yourself. It's pretty entertaining."
In his seat he hit the air again. Rain should not have acted like this. Changing the forecast for a better ending? Rain should be aware, no matter how he tries destiny will still find a way according to the way it should be.
After two days they finally finished passing through the hill of Tiagar. While walking down the street, Amabel felt better. He felt safer than he was on the hill. His wrist felt cold, it seemed like Ro wanted to communicate with him. It's just that he can't make contact with Ro at the moment. He had to meet Rain first.
"Why?" Ask Arion behind his ear. The two end up on the same horse after Arion feels safer.
Amabel nodded, again nervous. "Nothing."
Arion touched Amabel's waist, making the girl shocked. "Why?"
"Nothing." Arion's reply made Amabel grieve. "Prince, vengeance is not good. So too with revenge."
"Indeed," Arion paused for a moment. He then advanced himself, drawing near to Amabel's ear. "But it's fun."
If I had not remembered that they were on horseback, Amabel would have pushed Arion. Amabel was quieter. He doesn't want Arion to do something that makes his heart beat. Not really good for health.
Arion raised his hand, again making the troops stop. "We're gonna rest here."
It didn't take long for the knights to prepare the barracks and campfires. Most of them chose to gather at the campfire and burn the yam. While Arion went straight into the barracks, of course Amabel followed.
Upon entering, Arion immediately undressed, making Amabel turn around. Just a moment later, Amabel again saw a sword slash on Arion's back. The scar seen along her back was sure Amabel was a deep cut. In addition, there are puncture scars as well. How many times has Arion been wounded on the battlefield?
"You don't want to rest?" Ask Arion on the bed. Amabel could only shut up. How can he rest if Arion is there?
As if unconcerned, Arion patted the empty spot beside him. "I don't mind sharing a bed with you."
Amabel snorted at the offer. "I am the fitter, Prince. I want to write something first, Prince can rest."
Arion knew he could not force Amabel, so the man chose to close his eyes. Amabel moves towards Arion's desk and pulls out the book Alberto gave her. "I want to send this to Rain, the witch of the West." Whisper while wiping the blank pages in the book.
Amabel began writing about the trol and its peculiarities, as well as the story of the black magician. He also asked about the next steps to take. To be honest, Amabel doesn't know about this. He had never met a black witch before. Their strength must be different and there must be an intent behind this incident. However, what?
Either the witches don't like him or it turns out that Amabel isn't the one being targeted. The girl looked at the sleeping Arion. If, the black magician did something because of the agreement and the payment, it could be that from the beginning they were not after him. Right, from the beginning no one knew about Amabel's arrival. Not himself, but Arion.
The next question is why? Why did they attack Arion? Amabel knocks the questioner over the book, many times until she gets a hypothesis. The girl stopped knocking on her pen and looked at Arion, again. Arion's victory at Srela, must have something to do with it. The victory of the Prince to the Five will bring the people's confidence and support to advance as Crown Prince. The five trolley attacks were probably only a light attack. They might just want to assess Arion's abilities. Then they don't know if Amabel's on the scene anyway.
His return was known only to Papa, Rain, and Alberto. Only the three of them, if anyone else knows Amabel can consider her a suspect. The girl sighed and started writing her conclusions to send to Rain. At the end of his letter, he added to find out about the trol on the hill Tiagar. When she was done, Amabel tore the pages of the book which then burned with blue fire.
Hope Rain returns quickly. Amabel rested her body on the chair and unknowingly fell asleep. When he woke up, Arion's hand was already coiled around his waist.
The girl quickly rolls over, tries to get away from Arion, and ends up falling out of bed. "Oh? You're so excited." Arion said while rubbing his eyes. His voice was heavier and hoarse. "Why on the floor? You sleep on the floor?"
Amabel did not answer, but rolled back and sat down. "Morning exercise."
In his heart he cursed, what macama reason was that? Arion raised his eyebrows, confused. "Ah, we must prepare."
Amabel still turned her back on Arion and formed an O with her finger. "I'll catch up."
Arion still doesn't understand Amabel's behavior. Either this girl was overzealous or, well, no one could guess. Arion came out after changing clothes and Amabel was still sitting in her place. His hands ruffled his hair, frustrated with his own behavior. Lately he has not felt like himself. He often acts silly.
"Ah, it can't be like this." Then he stood up. He grabbed the book on the table and put it in a bag. With a flick of a finger, his clothes had already changed. His silver hair was carried, not too neat until his hair was still falling. He came out after breathing.
"You got anything?" Alnorth asked as Alec walked in. His friend threw the book on his desk. "Please give it gently." Grunts Alnorth, he grabbed the book and read it quickly. "How many have met your sword?"
Alec leaned his body on the bench. "I just went in and did a little trick. They seem too stupid. Then for the witness, he's safe."
Alnorth nodded and put the book on the table again. "Now is enough. When do you think we should see the king?"
Alec shakes, he doesn't know. Soon the Prince's return celebration will be held. Alec was breathing out, rude. He jumped up and stood up while looking at Alnorth. "Now."
Alnorth was still sitting and looking at Alec in confusion, until his friend turned his head. "Hurry up Duke Hamilton." With that he stood up and followed Alec from behind, of course with the evidence they needed.
Alec is always fast and this is what sometimes makes Alnorth unable to keep up. Alnorth preferred to make a careful plan before getting into battle, on the other hand Alec preferred to jump straight in, and slash at anyone who got in the way. Although different, Alnorth likes to work with Alec.
"We came to see the King." Alec told the guards. The two guards stared at each other then nodded. The golden-colored door in front of them opened. A red carpet was installed to the throne.
Yanha Walcote sat on his bench of greatness while reading some documents. The man looked up, staring at the presence of Duke Lancaster and Duke Hamilton. His smile was created, "what brought these two young dukes to meet me?"
Alec and Alnorth immediately saluted. "Prosperity for the King."
Yanha nodded and put down the documents she read earlier. "So tell me what you're coming for."
Alec nodded and looked at Alnorth. The two immediately explained their suspicions to Duke Prada, as well as providing the evidence they found. Yanha's face became flat and her look looked dislikeful. "I get. Then, make a special group for the case. We must punish everyone involved, without exception. Secrets from others."
Yanha looked at Alec, straight. "Even from your friends or family. Only you and a special group can know. I want a warrant for Duke Prada's arrest immediately. Do silently. I want them all arrested before the welcoming party."
Alnorth cursed in his heart. The welcoming party is three days away and means they have to work hard. "Okay, Your Majesty." Alec replied firmly.
"Then we say goodbye." Greetings Alnorth and Alec. Both of them came out of the king's room.
Alnorth immediately pushed Alec's body until his friend almost fell. "Crazy! We only have three days!"
"I can even finish it tomorrow." Jawah Alec, too relaxed.
Finally Alnorth sighed, giving up. "Please tell me your plan before my head really breaks."
"We're talking in my room." Alec said as he stepped towards his room. Alnorth was not even surprised to find five people in Alec's room. Yeah, this is the Alec he knows.
While the king was rubbing his chin. He leaned his body on the bench while closing his eyes. It turned out easier. Slowly the people he got rid of started showing their dirty behavior. With this, he did not need to dirty his own hands.
"Sister!" The call came from Hendery. "Sir Ryu!"
Ryu stopped his steps and looked at Hendery. "What's wrong?"
Hendery smiled instead, displaying a row of his teeth. "Have you heard about Amabel coming back yet?"
Ryu casually nodded. Seeing that made Hendery tick, "cheek, I forgot you were a witch. I envy your abilities. Oho! How about we see Arion's situation?"
Ryu smiled instead. His hand broke the top of Hendery's head gently. "It would be better if we waited patiently. You better come back now, the ministers will be waiting."
Hendery sighed. Since being appointed as a minister, he has become more and more busy. "Ah, I'm so lazy. Oh, but there's Amabel's sister there. He became one of the education ministry's staff."
"Duke Lancaster's son? Elliott's? Why the staff?" Ryu did not understand. As he recalled, the young man was appointed as the head of the political department in the academy.
Hendery shrugged his shoulders, "he became the head of the department for a few months then stopped and took the exam at the ministry. I don't know the exact reason."
How strange. However, Ryu was not interested in finding out more. He patted Hendery on the shoulder, "secret about Amabel coming back."
"Hm, okay." Reply Hendery. "Then I go back to the meeting sucks first."
Ryu nodded and the two parted ways. He was still silent while staring at the fountain. Amabel and Arion will be back. Ryu felt that the quiet life in the palace would change in a moment.
