The Only Daughter Of Lancaster

The Only Daughter Of Lancaster
Part Forty Two: Decisions

Right now all Amabel does is stare at the moon. The crescent moon and stars shine brightly. "What is she thinking?" Of course it was Rain.

The witch was casually sitting on the balcony divider. Maybe because she was used to it, Amabel was not surprised when Rain suddenly appeared. "Wedding." Answer Amabel.

Rain tilted his head, then heard the sound of the wind. He understands why Amabel looks like a deer lost its mother. "The meeting with the Queen doesn't seem to be going well."

The silver-haired girl sighed. "Yes, again the Queen confused me with her thoughts. I know that to him I'm just a chess piece. At first I thought Arion was dated, but he wasn't. The Queen really loves Arion and this leaves me confused. He wants the throne for his son, but also wants happiness for Arion."

Rain looked up at the sky, "before becoming Queen she was a mother. Of course he would choose happiness for each of his children over self-interest."

Ah, so it seems. Amabel forgot that fact. Something so important he had just forgotten. Rain stood up, walking on the balcony. After two consecutive stops, he stopped next to Amabel. "Did you like that red-eyed Prince?"

For Rain, Amabel's silence was the answer. "Why confused then? I see the Prince likes Miss too. So, just get married."

Amabel took a breath. He turned his body and leaned against the balcony. "Wedding huh?" He breathed again. "I'm scared, Rain."

The wind blew, gently moving Amabel's silver hair. It's something Rain has never been with before. Rain looked at Amabel, curious. The girl finally turned back to stare at the park. "I'm afraid to live as Amabel Walcote. Rain, you know the most about my life, don't you?"

The girl looked at Rain who felt as if she had been shot. Rain cleared his throat, "not that much."

Amabel chuckles at hearing it. "certainly lying. You know about me being Celine's reincarnation and my life as Amabel Lancaster. You know more than I do, that's why you always show up all of a sudden."

Sometimes Rain hates the fact that Amabel is so smart. However, he did not cut and let Amabel continue. "I've lived as someone else and in this life I just want to live as Amabel Lancaster. I don't want to be someone else. I fear. So scared. I don't know what fate awaits when I'm no longer a Lancaster. Am I going to be happy? Or will I live long? Or can I go back to my parents? Both brother? There are so many thoughts that bother me. Of all the questions, marriage is not the answer."

Amabel looked up, stared at the moon and held back her tears. "Do I like Arion? I have been in love since I first met him. It's weird, isn't it? Marrying Arion would be a beautiful dream. Just to make it happen, I'm too scared."

Rain rubbed the top of Amabel's head then patted her gently. "While you were once Celine, you are now Lancaster's daughter, and in the future Walcote, nothing will change the fact that you are you. It's all just names, miss. Only the outside changed, inside was still the same figure. Still the same guy. Nothing will change except the name."

Amabel looked up, looking into Rain's eyes. He only realized that Rain's eyes were the same as Arion's, red eyes. But only for a moment, it turned dark again. "Are you entertaining me?"

Rain squeaks, slumbering. "Please say so."

Amabel smiled, sincere. "Thank you."

Rain only muttered in response. If only Rain's words could come true would be good. He slapped the top of Amabel's head. "However you'll always be Amabel Rosemary Lancaster."

Amabel smiled back at him. "certain."

Rain sighed, it felt like he had become claustrophobic himself. "Now sleep." Rain used magic to get Amabel into her room and to sleep. After the girl had completely fallen asleep, Rain looked back at the moon. "You will live as Amabel Rosemary Lancaster. Forever."

The entire preparation for Arion's welcome was finally completed. Today the celebration will be held. The rush not only happened in the palace, but also in the Lancaster residence. Amabel had soaked with flowers and milk. It was the same as the first time he entered the palace. Waiters were busy taking care of her body, even Mary was still busy choosing dresses and jewelry to wear. Amabel has given everything to Mary, and all dresses are the same.

I don't know how long it's been, but when the sky's over it's orange. Amabel was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief after all the preparations were finished. The girl was wearing a blue to white gradation dress. Her hair was braided to form a crown and put together into a graceful bun. On her neck is a pink ruby necklace, aligned with earrings. The necklace looks beautiful with a sabrina-shaped part of the dress. The shoes are white with a right that is not too high.

Elliott knocked on the door before entering, today he uses a white tuxedo. When he opened the door, the man fell silent and looked at Amabel. "Well, pretty." Her praise made Amabel's face flushed. Elliott walked over to his sister and patted her on the shoulder. "Bel, it's grown up. I think I lost a lot of time with you."

Amabel was silent to hear it. Elliott cleared his throat then extended his hand, "I will accompany you today."

The helping hand was accepted, "what else?"

"Mom and Dad left first. You know they have to talk to the King and Queen first with Alec." Elliott scratched his forehead, "however Alec is currently the decision-holder in our family."

Yeah, a lot has changed. Sometimes Amabel still can not adjust to this change. The two talked lightly on the way. "Elli, doesn't Alec have a girlfriend?"

Elliott laughed at that. "Love? No female friends!" He answered while wiping away tears. "Hh, you know he doesn't like being close to women. He said they weren't as sweet as Bel. Or they're not as smart as Bel. Or, they don't have a smile like Bel. Or-"

"I understand." Cut Amabel fast, she felt ashamed of herself hearing it. It's no secret that Alec and Elliott don't like being approached by women. For both of them, the woman out there no one can match her sister.

"Elli must think so too." Said Amabel and Elliott nodding with his trademark grin.

"I don't like it." That stern remark made Elliott freeze. Amabel looked at him, sharp. Something Elliott never saw. "At the party, my engagement will be held. Then in the near future my birthday party is celebrated as well. It means I'm getting married. How can I get married first while my two brothers don't even have lovers?"

Elliott turned his gaze out the window. Suddenly he was nervous. Amabel pouted, "I've decided!" The words made Elliott look back at Amabel. "I won't get married until you and Alec get married!"

Amabel was still pouting, "there must be! What do people say if the youngest child is married while his two brothers do not even have lovers? I don't want to know, tell Alec that you have to bring a girlfriend to my birthday party." Elliott opened his mouth to refute when Amabel added, "or I won't see you again."

The smile on Amabel's face did not match her sharp eyes. "So don't know that I always hold my word, do I?"

For some reason now Elliott felt his whole body goosebumps. Her sister looks creepy. "The answer?" Press Amabel.

Elliott finally sighed and nodded. He's outmatched. "I understand."

Right after saying that, the train stopped. The door opened and Elliott went down first to extend his hand to Amabel. The girl grabbed Elliott's hand and then stroked her brother's arm as she walked into the palace hall. Suddenly, Amabel was nervous because her eyes were on them. Elliott claps Amabel's hand, calms down. "Look down, there I am. Don't be nervous."

Amabel gulped her saliva, nervous. He nodded and raised his head, looking straight ahead. His family was beside the king. Although it was only a few days ago to meet the King, his face was still just as annoying in Amabel's eyes. It seems he has a personal vendetta.

"Elliott and Amabel Lancaster salute His Majesty." Elliott and Amabel both said.

The king came forward, extending his hand which was welcomed by Amabel. "It's been a long time since I've seen a princess in such beautiful clothes."

It sounded like Amabel had never dressed properly all this time. Amabel's eyes scolded Yanha, sharp but still smiling. "Ah, I also feel like I haven't seen His Majesty's smile like this for a long time. It really looks young and fresh."

Amabel knew if it was against the King because her expression changed. In his heart he laughed seeing the annoyed face of the King. After that the King said goodbye to welcome some other important guests. Amabel then looked at Elliott, sharply. "Tell Alec!"

Alec who did not understand even frowned. Amabel threw her face away and stepped towards the food table. He needs something sweet. "Oho, who is this?" The call came from Noah.

Amabel immediately greeted. "Amabel Lancaster greeted Prince Noah."

Noah casually patted Amabel on the shoulder, "just relax. You're my wife's best friend so, we're friends too."

Amabel had never heard of this theory before. But with Noah it was like when he was with Rachel. Both have the same aura. "Oh, what about Arion's sister? I heard some interesting rumors. You guys went back to Plodnavor together, so have you been all this time"

Amabel cleared her throat, making Noah stop talking. "Why didn't the Prince ask her directly?"

Amabel so confused herself called Arion in this conversation. Noah rubbed his chin, "i've tried but Arion's brother is very busy! I haven't even seen him since two days ago."

Amabel can see that Noah loves Arion and his other brother very much. Noah looks like a sweet little sister who likes to be spoiled with her brother. "Today I have not met. This was a solemn party for her, but she was late. It sucks."

If it's like this it really feels like Amabel is talking to Rachel. The girl giggled amusedly, "The Prince really looks like Rachel. You must be a sweet couple."

Noah nodded immediately. "I fell in love with him. He really hypnotized me! But it took him a long time to see me. You know he likes Kenan's sister."

Amabel nodded, "she really likes the First Prince. Very, very fond of. Until each meeting always talked about it. Even he said from behind only the First Prince looked handsome."

Seeing the change in Noah's face made Amabel close her mouth. Looks like he just made a mistake. Amabel quickly shook her hand. "But I'm sure Rachel really likes Prince Noah right now."

Noah looked down, making Amabel afraid. However, Noah immediately looked up and smiled widely. "Sure! She's really in love with me."

Amabel had a long conversation with Noah until the whole hall was filled with whispers. Arion entered the hall with Empress Jovanka. She was wearing a black tuxedo, her hair was styled upwards revealing her forehead.By her side, Jovanka was wearing a white dress. So contrasting, yet alluring. Both of them dazzled the entire invited guests. So beautiful.

From his place, Amabel could see that Arion was so shining. This was the first time she met Empress Jovanka. Real pretty. The King and Queen gave a welcome, until finally Arion approached the two.

"My son Arion has returned from the battlefield. This time, he once again brought victory to us. Arion, my son became proud by defeating the Srela Kingdom. With that, Srela has been submissive under the Kingdom of Yerkink." The king patted Arion on the shoulder, proud. "For that, tonight I want to announce the engagement of my son and Lancaster's daughter. Amabel Lancaster, go ahead."

Of course they didn't give Amabel the peace. The girl stepped up, looking at her parents who were nodding. Both of his brothers smiled, encouraging. He slowly climbed up the stairs to stand on Arion's side. The two exchanged gazes for some time to then turn their gazes over.

Amabel stands by Arion's side and from here she can see all the invited guests. He realized that Rachel and the other Prince's wife were on the right side of the hall. Amabel and Arion exchanged glances

Yanha smiled and Adena knew the meaning of that gaze. Something was planned by Yanha. Yanha walked over, embracing Arion's shoulder. "Tonight, I want to announce something more important. Arion's return is a pride for the kingdom, as well as myself. And his victory made me more than certain to give him my throne."

Adena looked at Yanha, in disbelief. "Tonight, before you I announce that the Prince of the Five, Arion Saverio Walcote becomes the Crown Prince of Yerkink Kingdom. In the future, Arion will be the King who replaces me. And Amabel Rosemary Lancaster will be Queen of this Kingdom."

Adena and Amabel's eyes quickly met. Even from her place, Amabel could see anger on her face. Although Adena smiled, the anger could not be hidden. The applause of the guests who came could not stop Amabel's heartbeat. From his place, he could see the various expressions behind their smiles. Amabel looked up, looking at Arion's face. Amabel doesn't know what Arion's thinking is. His face was flat, expressionless.
