The Only Daughter Of Lancaster

The Only Daughter Of Lancaster
Part Forty-Five: The Busy

The Lancaster family home has lately been preoccupied with the preparation of the feast of maturity of his only daughter, Amabel. There was still a month, but the preparations had already begun. Ella and Pita were busy preparing the menu to be served. Mary was busy picking out dresses and jewelry. So many, Amabel think there are ten dresses that come to the house to try.

Unlike them, Alec and Eli are busy looking for a lover. They were worried about Amabel's request. Alec doesn't really think about marriage. Currently being the head of the family as well as the Duke had already kept him busy was incredible. However, on the other hand he was aware that if the marriage of Amabel later implemented and himself came unaccompanied will certainly cause problems. Just finding a lover is not easy. I think Alec just wants to give up. It's easier to keep an eye on Plodnavor than it is to find a lover.

Eli was just as dizzy as Alec. The only woman he knew was Clarissa. But the woman is married. Every day he just breathes. The question of good looks and smartness of Lancaster's son is certainly unquestionable. However, even though there are some women who approach there is nothing that makes them comfortable.

One afternoon while Amabel was practicing archery, Alec and Eli approached. The faces of both of them looked resigned and frustrated at the same time. Amabel to wonder. He stepped up, approaching his two brothers with a puzzled look. "What's wrong? You guys look a lot of mind."

The silver-haired girl pulled the bench and sat facing the two. Eli sighed, his hands ruffling his origin hair. "Your birthday is two weeks away and we haven't found a boyfriend yet."

Amabel chuckled amusedly at the outpouring of Eli's heart. The girl patted the top of her brother's head gently. A gesture that made Eli look at her like a puppy. "So from that, please change your request."

Amabel's face instantly changed, her smile gone and her hands crossed in front of her chest. "Daddy."

Just one word however made both her sisters sit up straight. "I have never asked for anything, but one request I can't grant. I'm disappointed." With that Amabel stood up and left her two brothers who could only look at each other.

Amabel knocked on the door in front of her before opening and opening the door. "Ma? May talk?"

Mary who saw Amabel coming immediately smiled and closed the documents before her. "certain. Come in, baby." He then looked at Jessy-his servant. "Please prepare tea and snacks for us."

Jessy nodded then walked out of Mary's study. The silver-haired girl watched her mother's study room filled with books and fresh flowers. Unlike his father's work space, this room looks brighter. Mary sat down next to Amabel then smiled sweetly. "So, what's my daughter coming here for? Is something bothering you?"

Amabel shook her head with a small smile. "It's not something big. It's about Alec and Eli."

Hearing that made Mary tilt her head, her face looking confused. Unlike Amabel who looks enthusiastic. "Ma, didn't anyone propose to either of them?"

In Plodnavor, if a girl likes a man then her family will come to see the family and propose. That's the usual thing to do. A little Mary understood this conversation. Amabel is worried about her two brothers. "There are actually some. It's just that the two refused to continue the relationship, even several times did not want to meet the family of women. Is Bel worried?"

Amabel nodded. There's no point in lying. "It feels weird if I have to get married first while brother doesn't even have a lover yet. Both have everything that women are looking for. I mean, they're good-looking, smart, good at fighting, and they have power! Money is not something to be questioned anymore. So, why don't you have kdakasih? What are they looking for?"

Mary chuckled at the outpouring of hearts from her son. He patted Amabel on the shoulder several times before speaking. "Bel, those two grew up watching you progress. You are smart, mature, and independent. They grew up thinking that a woman should have these three things. For both a great woman is one who can lift a sword to protect herself. For both a graceful woman is one who reads more and has intelligence. In the end, you become a benchmark for the ideal view of a woman. At the moment, both have not found it. Bell, no need to rush. By itself they will find it."

Amabel's heart calmed down after hearing Mary's words. He was relieved, but also embarrassed. Her being a benchmark herself for her brother was really embarrassing - and a little happy. Mary patted Amabel's cheek softly with a seductive smile. "Bel is just like them, isn't he?"

Amabel looked up, not understanding. Mary still smiled, then continued. "When you look at Alec, Eli, and Papa, you have to have your own look at a man. Surely when meeting Arion was like that, even though Bel may not be aware. Bel grew up looking at three great men. Swordsman, clever, level-headed, and sometimes spoiled. Is that in Arion?"

Seeing her red face made Mary smile. "Unconsciously we look for the figure we often see in others. Mama's happy because Bel chose Arion. He's a nice guy and mom can see how Arion loves Bel. A man's gaze never lies."

Mary's hand touched the tip of Amabel's nose. "Mama's daughter is an adult. Legally and thoughtfully. Bel, mama's always proud of you." His hand cupped Amabel's face and fused her two eyebrows together. "Time passes quickly and soon Bel will be married. Thank you for being such a good princess."

Amabel's tears just flowed. She hugged Mary, tightly. "Mama, don't talk like that. The bell thanked him for being taken care of this well. Thank you for giving me affection and teaching Bel a lot of things. Sorry that Bel is being selfish. Mama is the best mother Bel has."

Mary tightened her embrace. The only thing he regretted was leaving his daughter alone for so many years. Mary could not recover the lost time, but she could still hug her son tightly. For Mary, this was enough.

He sighed before opening the door of his study. Although only as a staff, but Elliott's work is very much. The rules on education should he finish, he should also go to some places in the week. His head wanted to break.

"Lancasters! Come on, let's drink after work is done." The call came from Aldric Jevanov, staff from the education ministry as well. "I've invited some beautiful women from the royal staff. You must like it!"

If you don't remember Amabel's request, Elliott will definitely refuse it. "okay." Elliott answered quickly, making Aldric gawk.

"He? You agree?" Confused ask. Aldric used to get a rejection from Elliott. "Ah, don't answer. I-i understand. Later, I'll pick you up."

That day, whether it was Amabel's insistence or not, Elliott found her. A jet-black haired girl with a sharp eye highlight, yet once smiling turned soft and sweet.

"Hey, want to marry me?" Not the name introduction that Elliott asked, but instead a proposal.

The black-haired girl scolded Elliott confusedly, "don't joke."

Elliott's hurry shook his head. "I've never joked about something as important as this." The man took off the Lancaster pin and placed it in the girl's palm. "I'll come to your house and propose to you."

Sometimes a meeting leads to an extraordinary destiny. Tell Elliott he's crazy for proposing to a girl whose name he doesn't even know. Love is crazy, right? For Elliott, meeting thirty minutes, thirty days, even thirty years makes no difference. Much the same. If the heart is already clicked, why waste too much time?

Today Alec is spending time with Sofia Bennett, the younger sister of Alberto Bennett. Both of them were eating the piece of meat in silence. It all started with Sofia's invitation to drink. The reason for that was because her lover broke off their relationship.

Sofia turned the wine glass with a vexed look. "Since the beginning he was a jerk. I shouldn't have fallen for her sweet words. He's been betrothed and still playing with me. His family didn't accept me because he wasn't a noble. Fuckin."

Fortunately, they ate at a special restaurant, where only certain people could enter. Usually this is where people with high status are. Thanks to Alec, Sofia was able to enter this place. The two were friends at the academy. Only Sofia is able to defeat Alec in the lesson value and become an enemy of the women because it can be close to Alec, Alterio, and Ian.

Sofia touched both of her cheeks which felt warm. He looked at Alec with a blurry look. "If I fall in love with you, it'll be fun. You will reject me firmly and if you accept me will definitely treat me well. Why would I fall in love with a guy like that? You are near me."

Alec is too familiar with Sofia's words like this. No longer shocked or feeling overwhelmed. Yeah, Alec used to feel that beating when Sofia was nearby. Not that now it is not, but he can control himself well.

"You're better looking, smarter, swordsman. The question of wealth and power is not questionable." Sofia started sobbing. "Why did I fall in love with that jerk? Hey, Alec! Try talking softer and sweeter."

Alec has never gotten used to drunk people despite often taking care of drunk people. Alterio when drunk was really bad, he would dance and laugh loudly. While Ian prefers to be grumpy, even on a broom. Sofia was bluntly more honest when drunk. All three always make Alec dizzy and choose to drink enough. If he had to choose, Alec would rather drink alone in his home pavilion.

"Here you go, stop regretting." Alec said at last. He was tired and his food was over. "Just find the others."

Sofia looked up, looking at Alec. "Who wants to be with me? The news that I am a bad woman has spread. No family wants to be in touch with me. They will definitely reject me. Plus I'm this old, they would definitely prefer a younger, manageable girl."

Alec sighed while massaging the side of his forehead. The two stared in silence until Alec finally stood up and lifted Sofia's body. "We're home."

"Wouldn't. The madman must still be waving" Sofia's speech came to a halt forcibly as Alec stuffed the piece of cherry into his mouth.

"Whispering."
