The Only Daughter Of Lancaster

The Only Daughter Of Lancaster
Part Seven: The Man

Finished from the city center I chose to rest. My body is so tired. Hm, I don't know why I feel like someone forgot I bought it. Paper, ink, bread, what else? Oho! The book! Hah, you stupid Amabel!

I wonder what this relationship is all about. How am I supposed to know that?

"Miss, I brought you some tea and some snacks." That's Pita's voice.

I'll wake up, "come in."

After that Pita entered with Elle. The girl was cleaner and fresher. His hands were wrapped in bandages, so I felt sad. "You're feeling better, Elle?"

The girl nodded, making me smile. "Pita, you can come out. I have something to talk to Elle about."

Pita nodded then gave her greeting. "I'm sorry then."

After the door closed, I looked at Elle straight. "Sit down."

Elle looks terrible. His eyes moved quickly, "how could I sit in front of the lady?"

The bureaucracy sucks! I sighed, "then you want me to look up during the conversation? My neck can hurt."

A little complaint could make Elle finally sit down. Sorry, Elle. "Then tell me about yourself."

"Um, I've been living in Lady Grace's house as a waitress since I was seven. I was dumped by my parents when I was five. There are a few family issues I remember. They are in debt and have three children, a difficult economic situation. Finally they dumped me because I was a girl." Elle looked down while telling me that. The girl looked up, her face looking panicked. "Good, miss! Excuse me. Please don't cry."

Even though Elle said so, my crying became even more. Hearing Elle's story reminds me of Lalisa. I who live as Lalisa know how pain is disposed of, unwanted, and forgotten.

"Miss, please don't cry anymore." Elle was already kneeling before me. The girl touched my hand and smiled, "that's a sad story indeed. But now I have a lady. Please don't cry anymore."

I took a breath, then smiled a little. "Thank you for holding on, Elle."

The girl's shoulder trembled and I knew she was holding back her crying. "Ah, let's stop being sad!" I stood up, wiping my tears with vigor. "Now sit with me and eat that cookie. Oh, Elle, who's that shitty guy?"

"Um, I'm not sure, miss. But, from the rumour I heard he was one of the princes. If it's not the second prince's fault." Elle's words made me choke.

Prince? With such a nature? Oh, my God, protect this country. "His nature is so bad and he is a prince? Tsk."

Elle immediately looked at me, "miss, you can't say that outside. But with me, you can talk like that."

Elle who had poured the tea now sat back in front of me. "Then, the redhead?" Ask again. If the man is arrogant prince, most likely the redhead too.

"He is also a prince. Third prince." Well, my guess is right.

I bit off a piece of chocolate cake and looked at Elle. "How many princes are there?"

"I heard there were seven. But shouldn't the lady know better?" Elle asked, I knew she was curious.

I sniffed my shoulders, "i've never been to any party and I haven't made my debut in a noble association."

Elle nodded, understood. Problem, Lalisa Celine does Elle know? He's been on the streets for a long time, maybe he knows. "Oh, Elle, do you know anything about Lalisa Celine?"

Elle's eyes are now sparkling, so excited. "Know! She's a goddess! She is the goddess of the rescue of this land from the devil. The goddess has incredible magic power and we, the common people call her the goddess of life."

"Why is that?"

"Because of his power he created life for this land. There is a story that says that three nobles fought over Lalisa Celine, but she chose to merge into land. Therefore, this land becomes fertile and we can live." I'll ask Sir Reginald later. "Oh! There is a temple near Arkean. The name of the temple is Celine, made to remember the services of Lalisa Celine. He said there we could feel the power of the goddess Celine because that was where the goddess melted."

Arkean is not too far from home. I can go there tomorrow. My mom and dad are still out of town. "Elle, please call the ribbon."

As long as Elle came out, I reopened the book given by Sir Reginald. In the Lalisa Celine section there is the same story as Elle said. The three previous nobles wanted Lalisa Celine as a companion she said they loved her. However, I think it is only to win the sympathy of the people and eventually they can become kings. I don't know why I feel like Lalisa Celine is pathetic. In the end he was alone.

"Miss, you calling?" The ribbon went back in and I nodded.

"We're going to Arkean tomorrow."

"Eh? Um, well miss. I will prepare the train and the lady's equipment. Then excuse me."

"I'm sorry, miss." Elle and I nodded.

Tomorrow. I hope I get the answers I'm looking for tomorrow.
