The Padlock of Destiny

The Padlock of Destiny
I Love Someone, But I Can't See Him Again

Kyuhyun simply complied and did not answer Hanwu's question. His secretary was smart enough, he would understand it if given the chance. They sit down at the table and enjoy the cuisine of Hanwu's mother which is very authentic and delicious.

“It turns out Hanwu did not lie when he said that aunt's cooking is very tasty.” Kyuhyun smiled as he tasted the food that Hanwu's mother had given him.

“You are very good at praising, aunty only has two children and they rarely eat at home.”

“I'm quite surprised Hanwu and Hansen didn't get fat with aunt's cooking, but they even missed this good meal?”

“We rarely eat at home because we don't want to be fat.” Sela Hanwu in a low voice.

“Omong empty, my cooking is always balanced and nutritious.”

“Yes, but mother gave us food for a three-person portion.” Hanwu murmured. Kyuhyun smiled when he heard that.

His mother also always added food to his plate and asked him to eat a lot.

“You want to keep your body shape, but the pretty girl next door didn't get you!” Hanwu's mother said as she snorted in annoyance. He wanted to have a daughter-in-law who would accompany him.

“Oh, did you fail to get a girlfriend? Though saar worked with me many beautiful girls who glanced at you.” Kyuhyun commented casually.

Hanwu had a firm and handsome face, he could also speak well to anyone. No wonder so many girls fall for him.

“I just don't want to get married yet. I don't have time for dating either.”.

“I can give you two days off at the weekend for you to date.”

“Forget! The company is in the early days of development, after a little running, my load will be lighter. At that time I will find a good girl to take home.”

“Didn't aunt say there's a beautiful girl neighbor?”

“Huh, the girl was married last month! Hanwu is too slow to move when obviously she is a good girl who likes her.”

Kyuhyun patted Hanwu on the shoulder in sympathy. He could probably guess the reason this man did not accept the girl.

“How about you Kyungsoo? Do you have a boyfriend?” Hanwu's mother turned her talk towards Kyuhyun.

“I did love someone, but now we can't see each other again.” Kyuhyun stared at the cup in his hand, hiding the sadness in both of his eyes.

“Oh, the girl is dead?” Ask Mother Hanwu carefully.

“No, fortunately he is still alive.” Kyuhyun smiled faintly. At least the girl is still alive. If not, he would have gone mad.

“Then why, does she already have a lover?” Hanwu was curious. He never saw his boss close to any woman. Kyungsoo must still love her very much.

“No.” Kyuhyun blew the leaves off his cup and sipped his drink slowly.

“That girl is married?”

“No, as far as I know she's single.”

“Then what are you waiting for, if you like meet the girl with a man.” Hanwu's mother was a little anxious, why was the young man now not interested in getting married?

“Someone said that one of us will die if we meet.” Kyuhyun sighed heavily and told the truth.

“Hey. Which shaman said it.” Hanwu's mother shook her head in disapproval. He thought that a fortune teller might tell Kyungsoo that nonsense to keep him single for life.

Kyuhyun who heard it just laughed poignantly. She also did not want to believe it, but the person whom Mother Hanwu had called a shaman could even turn the clock around and save her lover. How else would you like?

Seeing Kyungsoo not wanting to talk about his girlfriend, Hanwu simply added a drink to his cup in silence.

“How about your family? Hanwu just said you just came back from abroad. Do they live there too?” Hanwu's mother handed Kyuhyun a piece of chocolate cake.

Kyuhyun smiled as he accepted it. Hanwu said that he would be fat if he ate at home. After a nice dinner earlier, Hanwu's mother still gave her a chocolate cake. How much fat are they gonna get tonight?

“My parents died ten years ago, no brother so now it's just me.”

Kyuhyun thought that this did not include swearing Cho's old partner to die early. He is technically Le Kyungsoo, an orphan living in America.

“Oh, geez.. forgive aunty.”.

Kyuhyun shook his head as Hanwu's mother apologized for what she said. He was not offended at all, nor was he saddened by the passing of his parents. Let's just say they died ten years ago. It will be easier than remembering his birth parents and wanting to meet them both because of longing.

“From now on, you are my son. Think of us as your family, even though it is not registered in registration and has no blood relation.”

“Call me mom, mom may have met you a few times, but I know you're not a bad person. Even if you committed a crime, I know you didn't do it with bad intentions.”

Kyuhyun laughed crisply upon hearing that. His laughter this time sounded very free and cheerful, in contrast to his former laughter that sounded empty, satirical, or a laugh without an annoying voice.

“Alright mother.. I will make sure you are not involved if I commit a crime. Hanwu, call me brother!” Kyuhyun accepted Hanwu's mother's offer and joked with Hanwu. Should he change his name to Han Kyungsoo?

This family is really interesting. Not knowing that his hands had been covered in blood, he had even forgotten how many lives he had killed during his time as an NIS secret agent. He used to not blink when he killed his enemy while on a mission.

Hanwu heard a ringing in his phone, he raised the call.

“Halo, is this with brother Hanwu?”

“Ya, right... Can I help you?”

“We are from the city police, can you come to our office now?”

Hanwu was stunned when he heard the answer that the caller was from the city police.

“Sister, are you really involved in crime? Why did the police call me?” Hanwu asked while covering up her cell phone microphones.

Kyuhyun looked at Hanwu in confusion. It seemed like his joke was not funny, he sure had not broken the law with his current identity.

“Sorry, is there a problem?” Hanwu asked towards her phone.

“Your sister is involved in a gang fight, there are two friends involved and entered the ER tonight.”

“I understand, I will be heading to the police station soon.”

Hanwu put on her jacket and left with Kyuhyun. He only said that the police invited him as a witness to his mother.

When they reached the city police station, Kyuhyun accompanied her while raising a maroon-colored knitted scarf on her face. He felt uncomfortable entering the police station, maybe he worked too long in the shadows to fear the light.

“We're Hansen's older brother, what exactly happened?”

Police asked him to fill out an identity form before escorting him to the room where Hansen and some of his friends were being held.

“What are you doing? Why did you get into the police station and get battered like this?!” Hanwu asked angrily when she saw her sister's messy face. Her eyes that were next to her were slightly swollen like a punch mark, her lips were torn and bloodied.

“They want to beat me. Me and my other friends just defend themselves.” Hansen muttered while bowing his head feeling guilty.

“Omong empty! You hit us first!” Some of the other children did not accept Hansen's words.

“That's because you guys..” Hansen didn't dare say it. If her brother finds out that they're involved in drugs, he'll get angry.

One of the policemen on duty came and explained to Hanwu and Kyuhyun in a separate room.

“Your sister is really brave, she did hit them first. But it can be said as a defense.”

Hansen nodded in excitement as the policeman opened his explanation with praise towards him.

“We found some low-grade ecstasy packs in their shirts. Blood test will also come out soon, most likely they also sell it in addition to consuming it.”

Hanwu was shocked when he heard that. How could his brother be friends with the drug dealer? He looked at Hansen sharply.

“I swear that I never tried it!” Hansen immediately said it as he looked at Hanwu's gaze.

“Yes, the results of his investigation are out. It is negative, then there is no evidence that your sister is involved in drug trafficking. So his only mistake was beating up some of them. You should contact two of his friends' families who went to the hospital.” Said the policeman with a nod of approval.

“Only one, Key tried to help me, but he got stabbed by them. The other was their gang, he was trying to hit me with a wooden block. So I pushed him down the stairs.” Hansen again chimed in on the police's remarks.

Kyuhyun blinked as he watched Hansen's countenance. This kid is not completely honest.

“Yes, you encouraged him to defend himself, I heard the boy broke a bone. So you guys get it done well, I don't think his family will sue him.”

“Even if they sue Hansen, their son will go to jail. Hansen was just defending himself, and the boy might even be involved in drug trafficking. His sentence will not be light.” Kyuhyun told the police.

“Yes, your brother is right. So you can go home after signing some forms and pay a fine for your sister's fault.”

Hanwu immediately took care of the administration while Hansen sat in the corner of the room and wrote a letter of agreement that he would not repeat his mistake and become a good citizen. Whatever it is, his name will still be recorded in the police file, this will affect his career in the future. Especially if he wants to go to a famous university.
