Ashley's hands waved, and circled the shower. I watched Ashley's every move, until Ashley's body disappeared. With his decisive steps, AK followed where Ashley went. Stairs with selected stones jutting into the ground, there were torches lit on the walls and illuminated every step of AK.
"Isn't that him?" tanya Ashley pointed to an open room with many medical devices in the body of one weak man helpless.
AK looked at the body of a man with a lot of medical equipment on his body. The man who looks his posture is the same as AK's posture. The tightness of AK's heart is again felt, the inner bond is undeniable. With a swift step, AK approached the helpless figure. His hand outstretched rubbing the bandage on the figure's face. "What happened to you? Why is it like this?"
"Her body was burned, according to my informant there was a mass commotion the night he entered the hospital. The target is not him but the helper. Look at the man next to this room! He's the one being targeted." Ashley said seriously.
AK removed his hand from the face of the first patient and moved to the patient in another room. For a moment his eyes were fixed on the figure of the middle-aged man he had not seen for a long time, but the condition of the middle-aged man was very concerning not much different from the first patient. "What happened to Sekkar?"
Ashley frowned, briefly looking at AK with a single question mark. "Do you know that guy?"
AK still stands pecking between the doors, letting Ashley figure out the answer herself. Because AK's mind is stuck on one story, the story that made him make the biggest decision of his life.
Flasbacks
The night with thunder boomed, it was raining heavily. With a breath left, a bloodied man tried to reach the end of the cliff with the rest of his strength. One beam of light was faintly visible, and one outstretched hand appeared amidst the lightning striking. "Let's hold my hand! They're all gone."
The man covered in blood received the rescuer's hand, under heavy rain with lightning striking. The two men passed through a steep road to a bamboo hut owned by local residents, a cottage that is always used to rest residents when tired of looking for firewood.
"Wait here, I'll get you a drink" said the helper with an anxious face.
Twenty minutes later, the helper came back to the cottage with a large backpack on his shoulders. Men covered in blood were already better off with regular breathing, although the wounds on his body were quite a lot scattered all over his body.
"Drink, it's warm. Will help warm your body." said the helper by offering a cup of tea without a puff of smoke.
Slurrs…
"Thank you. But I have to leave now." said the man covered in blood by handing him a teacup with half tea left.
The helper held back the movement of the bloodied man, from the gaze of the eyes it was definitely anxiety. "Let me treat your wounds first. I've made sure those people get away from here."
"alright. What's your name?" ask the man covered in blood.
"Sometimes it's not the sinner who gets the karma. But the justice prosecutor who received the punishment. Can state law still be trusted? Do I have to go to hell to punish sinners?" replied the man covered in blood by staring at the torrent of rain.
Without stopping his movements, Sekkar railed against the man in front of him. "If so, believe in yourself. Even though I am an officer of the state, I will rebel when the rights of the citizens are ignored. Tell me what your problem is, I'll listen."
Silent……
"Don't say it when in doubt. Many think state officials cannot be trusted, especially the police. So calm down, I won't force." Sekkar said some did not get an answer from the man in front of him.
Eyes with deep gazes glared at the darkness of the night, the lightning stopped striking. But who would save his soul that was drowning in darkness? Currently he is like a city that lost its direction, one little can sink the ship. "He is very sweet and kind. His kindness became the beginning of the destruction of our lives, I neglected to guard and protect him. Until the demons came to harass my future wife. My power is like useless, the enemy is encircling without mercy. Why are those people dumping me? Because I have no intention of releasing the demons. This is where I am now, the wounds on my body are not as painful as the wounds on my heart and soul. Tears will not be useful. Should I give up? How do I let those demons live in peace when they take my world without mercy."
"Don't tell me you're the woman's lover one month ago who was found suicidal?" sekar Sekkar was impatient.
The man in front of Sekkar nodded, making Sekkar close his own mouth. How fate brought him to meet the man who was being hunted by his superiors, now in front of him. "We'd better get out of here. Your life is in danger! Except."
"Except what? And what do you mean I'm in danger? Surely other than those people." the bloodied man in a high tone.
Sekkar shook his head and breathed as much air as possible. "Our order has targeted you as a fugitive! Maybe the way back like that is the same as giving up. Unless you want to manipulate the situation. But for this, you must remove your own name from the face of the earth."
Like a light in the dark, Sekkar's words enlighten the man covered in blood. The face that still had the rest of the blood published a meaningful smile. "Thank you for the advice. Can I borrow a cell phone?"
"Take it. This is a personal phone so it is not tapped." said Sekkar by thrusting an old-fashioned phone.
Several numbers are pressed and one press the call sign, until someone answers across. "Meet me on the edge of the forest in L."
The man covered in blood handed him a old-fashioned cell phone. "Thank you. Can I have one request?"
"Say sir." Sekkar seemed to be hesitating with the attitude of the man in front of him who looks formal.
Men covered in blood whispered something, Sekkar's face frowned until his eyes bulged but finally the best smile was present in Sekkar's lips. "As you say. I'm waiting for the next room."
Pukkp…
"Master AK? What's going on?" ashley asked after patting AK's shoulder which was nearly ten minutes of silent speechless pecking with a serious look at Sekkar's patient.
