Elin was seriously sweeping the backyard when the Imam came to her. He was unaware of the Imam's presence for long enough to notice him. The priest knew Elin did not know of his presence, he cleared his throat.
hearing the voice of the deheman Elin turned to find the Imam smiling at him, Elin replied with a smile walking towards the Imam who was sitting on a long bench under the tree Seri nearby.
"So seriously, you don't know I'm here?" ledek Imam after Elin approached.
"You don't make a sound, how do I know?" answer Elin
The priest chuckled, "you're too serious about work." The priest ruffled Elin's hair.
"Stop, my hair's falling apart." Elin scowled
The priest laughed, lowering his hand from Elin's head. His laughter stopped turning into a wist, he was thinking of how to convey something he was going to say. Elin was astonished by the sudden change in the Imam's face. Why her?
"What's wrong?" ask Elin wonder
The priest took a deep breath, heavy for him to say what he was going to say.
"Say what you want to say." Elin said as if he knew what was going through the Imam's mind.
The Imam looked at Elin, "I'm going to Jakarta, continuing my education there." Say Imam quietly.
"I'm going back to live with my parents." The voice of the Imam was restrained along with the tightness he felt.
The priest grabbed Elin's hand and grasped it, Elin was a little surprised at the treatment. The priest looked at Elin. They stared at each other in silence, Elin was awkward with her current state, she turned her gaze over covering the uncertain feeling.
"I'm sorry I can't keep my word." The priest felt guilty
"Trust me, I go for you, for your future. I'm going to get my future for your future, Elin."
The priest took a deep breath, "i like you,"
"Not just like. I even love you, Elin. I've held feelings for you for a long time, but I don't have the courage to express my feelings for you. Now that I can't help it anymore, I want you to know.
Before I leave, I want you to know that I will always be there even if we are far apart.
I'll come one day, I'll pick you up and take you away to live with me.
Maybe this sounds crazy. But this is what I want. I want you to be my life partner later. You are a woman who can change my life. You have encouraged me to take my future. You are a good, strong, patient woman. I want you to wait for me.
I'll come back after it works, I'll come for you." All of the contents of his heart, the Imam poured out right then and there.
Elin fell silent, astonished to find the Priest harboring a taste for her. The nosy priest turned serious this time in front of him, not looking a joke on his face as usual. Elin blinked to digest every word that came out from the lips of the Imam.
He's got. There was a feeling of pleasure when he knew someone loved him, liked him like this. It was very clear that there was love in those eyes when the Imam expressed his feelings for Elin, the voice showing the deepest sense. He was sure the Imam was not messing with his words, he was moved.
The priest was visibly glazed with his own face staring into Elin's eyes. Wanting her to embrace him brings her into his arms but he does not do so because Elin might not like his treatment.
"I'm not asking you to repay my love right now, I know this is very surprising to you. I hope you're still a strong Elin as long as I'm not around. Be patient, I'm sure you can get through any of that.
Please don't cry anymore, try to be happy. I'll be happy if you're happy, don't ever be sad again." The priest spoke softly
"One thing you have to understand, I'm going to go back. I'm going for you and your future. Wait for me." The priest reassured Elin.
Elin flattered. His heart warmed to hear the Imam's confession. Unknowingly Elin nodded faintly.
"I understand, thank you for caring about me. Thank you for paying attention. Thank you for loving me, thinking about my future." Tears flowed from the corner of Elin's eyes as she said the word.
"I'm happy that after knowing that someone is really thinking about my life, I don't feel alone anymore." Reciprocity.
The priest wiped Elin's tears, "don't cry, my heart hurts every time you see her crying like this." Speech the Imam
"I'm moved, it's a happy cry after knowing someone loves me so much. All this time I thought I wasn't pretty to be liked by a man. I feel like no one is interested in me." Said Elin
"You're special, Elin. You are different from other women. That's what makes me like you." Imam.
"Lusa, I've passed the final exam just waiting for the graduation announcement. While waiting I will take care of SMA registration in Jakarta. Pray for me to be made easy." Answer the Imam
"I certainly pray. All right there, greetings to your parents." Elin
"I'll tell you. Do you have a cell phone?" ask the Imam
Elin shook her head slowly which made the Imam sigh.
"How do I know you're doing this?" Iirih Imam
"You can call your grandmother if you want to know about me. Don't your parents always call your grandmother? you can do that later." Timpal Elin
"Yes you're right, later if I ask grandma to give you her phone, you take it." Pinta priest
"Yes." Yeah." Elin.
"I want to hug you, can I?" the Imam asked carefully not to want Elin offended.
Elin nodded. The Imam quickly grabbed Elin into his arms, a hug he had long wanted to make as Elin was crying bitterly for herself. He who had long been silent to see Elin, he who had loved Elin for a long time now managed to express his heart and embrace the woman he loved.
The morning just after two days the Imam expressed his feelings and appeared to be the Imam standing at the door of the house of Elin. He knocked on the door, not long before the door opened with the appearance of Elin in front of him. The priest developed his smile trying to hide his sadness.
"Good morning beautiful." Imam.
As soon as Elin's face flushed upon hearing the praise, the Imam embarrassed her.
"Good morning." Elin greeted with a smile
"I'll go, take care of yourself." Imam.
"You're leaving so early? with who?" ask Elin
"Can I come in?" Pinta Imam's
"I'm sorry I thought you were in a hurry, so I didn't let you in." Elin said she felt bad.
"Come in." Reciprocation
The priest walked closer to the seat, but did not immediately sit down. His hand waved asking Elin to come closer. He had no voice, his throat was stuck suddenly dry, his chest tight, his eyes hot looking teary with a clear glint in those eyes.
Elin approached, she was surprised as the Imam pulled and hugged her tightly. The priest did not care if his mother and brother saw him, he could not help but shed his feelings. Deeply she kept this moment in her mind, she wanted to reminisce about this moment if she missed her first love.
They were in such a state long enough. Hugging in silence, Elin let go of her arms, which were followed by the Imam. The priest slightly bowed to look at this face that he would miss later. Long she stared at Elin keeping that face in her memory.
"I'm gonna miss you." The priest gently stroked Elin's hair
"Can we take a photo together?" the Imam reached into his pants pocket and grabbed his phone.
Elin nodded. The priest took a picture of the two of them with a smile that seemed forced. This moment is actually not right to take a picture of the two of them who look sad face in both but Imam there is no other opportunity. It's his last time to keep the face of the girl he loves on his phone. There is not a single photo that he has.
"This is my phone number, if you have a cell phone, please call me." Pinta Imam with a choked voice while thrusting a paper with a few numbers.
"I want to be the first person you call after you have a cell phone." The Imam said with a heavy voice sounded hoarse.
The Imam was not able to stem his feelings, the tears would fall again, the Imam hurriedly said goodbye did not want Elin to know the fragility of him.
"I'm going, take good care of yourself. Greetings to my mom and dad." The priest left Elin.
The priest stepped out of the house as tears flowed down the end of his eyes. He stepped forward without looking back. If he looked back he would not be able to leave, he would be weak if he looked back at Elin's face. He did not realize behind him Elin was fixated on staring at his back with a tearful blur.
Elin was unable to hold back the tears of knowing the person who cared about her most left her. No more solace, no one will hear his groan. He's already gone.
