Time to Recover (Fifteen)

        At the dining table, Calistha immediately took a position next to Aiden. Actually he never wanted to

being there, but he is forced to do so so that he can distract Aiden more easily.

        "Have you found him?" aiden asked while cutting the meat. Calistha simply replied to Aiden's question with a brief nod while trying to normalize her hunting roar.

        "Did you just run from the front yard?"

        "Hosh hosh, you think? I'm just afraid to make you wait too long." said Calistha stammering. Aiden then thrust a glass of water at him, which Calistha readily accepted immediately.

        "Thank you."

        "Hm. Quickly finish your food before it gets cold."

        Calistha then began to pick up the tableware hesitantly while observing some of the soldiers and other palace occupants who were passing by around him. But, it seemed like Max and Gazelle had not entered the palace at all, so that he could eat his food in peace. But, just as he was about to lift his spoon to scoop up the vegetables that were on his plate, the eagle's eyes continued to stare at him sharply, so he became nervous and instantly undoed his intention to devour the vegetables. After all, Aiden was currently watching it with a sharp eye, like he was looking for something in him.

        "What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?" Calistha did not like it. The woman started to pull out her hard side again which was so annoying.

        "Your behavior today is a little more lenient, what are you really hiding from me?"

        Without any further ado, Aiden immediately attacked him with his question that was so difficult to answer. In fact he had absolutely no idea why today he had become a little more lenient to Aiden, but clearly it had to do with his dream. Today he was just trying to prevent his dream from happening

not being real. And one way is to be a little soft on Aiden. Because when he used violence on the man, he actually made Aiden even more angry and they both ended up with a great fight and also a hot kiss that he was actually trying to forget.

        "I'm not hiding anything. I just want to fix the relationship between us. Do you like to listen to every cruel and scathing word from me?"

        "If harsh and scathing words mean you'll stay by my side, then I better listen to those words. I don't mind listening to it at all as long as you're not trying to escape my palace."

        "Oh my God, do you always think badly of everyone? I just want to be kind to you, so don't try to provoke my anger again." Calistha grumbled annoyedly as she cut her steamed flesh roughly. From a distance Gazelle was coding Calistha for the woman to distract Aiden as they walked past them. Calistha immediately straightened her body while looking at the table in confusion because she had no idea what she was going to do. Then he saw a bowl of tomato soup next to his right hand that was still puffing thin steam. Calistha pretended to be taking the soup with her golden spoon on the napkin on the right side of the soup bowl. Then he deliberately nudged the plate containing the soup bowl to the right, until the red soup was immediately dirty on the floor and also Aiden's black clothes.

Pyarrs!

        "Arghh, what are you doing, you sloppy bastard!" as Aiden was rough. The pia reflex immediately rose to its feet while staring furiously at Calistha as the woman had just spilled soup sauce onto her precious clothes.

        "I'm sorry. I'll clean it up."

        Calistha began to take a clean cloth that was on the table and immediately rubbed it on top of Aiden's dirty clothes. A few maids rushed towards him to clean up all the mess he had done. But, thanks to the spilled soup, Max and Gazelle were able to pass through the dining table easily, as all the attention was focused on the mess Calistha had just done.

        "You guys, stop!"

        Spencer suddenly came from outside and immediately shouted loudly in the middle of the dining room, making everyone who was there immediately look at him with a confused look. Aiden's black eyes immediately looked at Spencer sharply as the man had behaved disrespectfully.

        "Have you lost your polite son-in-law Spencer?" hiss Aiden was furious with great emphasis in each of his sentences. Spencer then bowed respectfully to Aiden and apologized to the king for disrupting his lunch. However, he must stop Gazelle and Max from entering the dungeon to escape Tiffany.

        Hearing that, both Gazelle, Max, and Calistha immediately froze in place because their disguises were already known to Spencer. Nervously Calistha tried to temper her worries with deheman slowly, but it seemed that it did not change anything at all as he still remained nervous and Spencer still stood gallantly next to his desk.

        "Inbreathers? How dare they come in here. Catch them and kill them right now."

        Hearing those terrifying words, Calistha's face instantly instantly turned deathly pale. Spencer immediately nodded respectfully to Aiden, and after that he immediately ordered all his soldiers to capture Max and Gazelle who had run away to save themselves from the soldiers who were about to catch them. Aiden then looked at Calistha sharply while blocking Calistha's wrist as the woman also intended to escape from him along with Max and Gazelle.

        "So this is the point behind your lenient attitude today?"

        "Let go! What if I want to leave this kingdom? I'm sick of living here. I want to be free and I want to live my own life based on my choices. I don't want to be your wife let alone be the antidote to your curse. You're evil and I'd rather you die than live very

cruel like this." Calistha burst out heartless and instantly made Aiden's emotions peak. The man clutched Calistha's right wrist even more tightly until it turned red. But it did not last long, because then he immediately released his hand from Calistha's hand and instead told Calistha to leave.

        "Go away. But, if one day I can catch you, then you will never be able to get out of this palace again."

        "Huh, I assure you, I will definitely never be caught by you or by your troops. Because before that happened, I must have disappeared from this world."

        Without saying anything else, Calistha immediately ran out to look for Gazelle and Max. They had agreed to use the old door hidden behind the statue of the king and queen of the former chronos to get out of the cursed kingdom. Aiden was silent in place while folding both hands on the table. He knew what he was doing this time was too careless because he had just let Calistha go with Max and Gazelle. But, he was certain that someday he would be able to bring Calistha into his arms again. Let's just say all this is just a game to entertain him. But, after

this, he swore he would never play around again on Calistha. However, to be honest he would rather see Calistha as bold and fiery as she is today, than Calistha who was a dim-witted as she killed all three of her friends whom he considered good.

        "Have a good time, Cals." murmured Aiden as he recalled his future that would soon change.

        The entire palace was thrown into a frenzy after Calistha put the sword in her stomach. Spencer and some of the other soldiers were trying to win over the women who were screaming hysterically. While Aiden still remained unmoved in place while staring at the nanar on Calistha's blood-soaked body. I don't know how much longer he has to be patient with all these curses and obstacles. Even when his curse pen was in front of his eyes, he still could not cure his curse. The royal elder then descended from the podium and directly patted Aiden's shoulder slowly.

        "Patience to your son, your test will surely be over soon and replaced with a beautiful future" said the elder pacifying. Aiden only responded to the royal elder's words with his bitter smile which he forced.

        "Your Majesty, what about....."

        Suddenly everyone in the room stopped moving. Likewise with the large clock in the left corner of the hall which is currently stopping to turn. Aiden then walked over to Calistha's stiff body lying near his feet. Gently Aiden raised Calistha's head and gave

a deep kiss on Calistha's lips.

        "It's all just about to start, baby. Welcome to my complicated and boring life."

        Slowly everyone in the room became blurred and everything seemed to fade away one by one. Calistha's body that was inside Aiden's embrace also slowly began to fade and everything seemed like it was retreating backwards. While feeling the moment of time's decline, Aiden began to close his eyes and hoped inwardly that his future would become more beautiful after this.

        "You and I, we're not gonna die so easily"
